Chapter 8 Eightt

Debora looked sharply at the servant named Ira, her expression cold and disdainful as she gazed at the servant.

"Starting today, I will cook my own meals, and you...will continue to serve your Master as usual, because your service is very satisfactory to him!" Debora said, pointing at the servant named Ira.

After saying what needed to be said, Debora picked up her lunch plate, which had been served to her earlier.

Crash!

Debora threw the plate onto the floor, right in front of the servant, narrowly missing her foot.

"Clean that up, then serve your Master's lunch again!" Debora said coldly.

She then went to the kitchen to cook her lunch.

"Master!" the servant called weakly, her face filled with sadness.

Victor, who had frozen in place, snapped out of his reverie upon hearing the servant's voice. He had always thought highly of her excellent performance.

It turned out the servant only wanted to appear perfect in his eyes, always showing good work so he would continue to pay attention to her.

"Master, I...didn't mean to harm Madam. I have tried my best, but I don't know who is doing dishonest things behind my back!" the servant said, her voice filled with sadness and hurt.

Victor blinked, seeing the servant wearing a mask of deceit that was frightening and nonsensical.

Ignoring the servant's words, Victor turned and left the dining room.

He went to his office to calm himself down.

Meanwhile, Debora cooked her lunch according to her own taste.

After finishing, she brought it to the dining room.

She saw that the plate she had thrown on the floor had been cleaned by the servant named Ira.

Debora pulled her chair and started eating her lunch.

Debora was used to cooking for herself; she had learned to cook while living alone in a small town where she worked.

Living on her own, she could cook whatever she wanted and even create her own recipes.

Sometimes, she tried foreign dishes just by watching them on TV or social media videos.

Her mind quickly memorized what she saw.

As she was eating her third spoonful of rice, her brother-in-law appeared at the dining room door.

What does he want now? Debora thought, pretending not to see the man, she continued eating her meal.

He pulled a chair, his usual seat, and looked at Debora.

"Where's mine?" Victor asked, almost causing Debora to choke.

She kept eating without paying any attention to Victor's question.

"I want some too, I'm still hungry!" the man said again, watching Debora enjoying her lunch.

Annoying! Debora thought, feeling frustrated by Victor's words.

Debora felt that her brother-in-law had no shame, or perhaps he was just the type of man who was very irritating.

"IRA!!" Debora shouted loudly.

"Yes, Madam?" the servant named Ira entered the dining room, looking annoyed.

But as soon as she saw Victor there, her expression changed immediately.

"Your favorite Master is still hungry, make him a new meal!" Debora said casually.

Debora continued her meal calmly, ignoring Ira's attempts to draw Victor's attention.

The man was openly defending the servant in front of her, so she no longer cared about the servant's disrespectful behavior that didn't consider her brother-in-law's feelings.

The man himself didn't care about her feelings; why bother trying to be a good wife when she was not appreciated at all.
