Back in Carrine's chambers, he sat by a desk, giving off a regal and vile aura that made people keep their distance. He was reading a book and practicing something with his left fingers. Amaranth colored flame glowed from the two fingers and Carrine directed his strength to the fingers, a faint glow..again. It's been like this for years and it didn't change...

"Stay in the castle and do nothing."
It was the coldest voice she had ever heard in her entire life. Also the disappointment she felt couldn't be described. The Crown Prince wasn't even looking at her.
She had stopped him after breakfast to talk
to him. It had taken her a lot of effort to stop him and he was saying this? It was really not fair.
"Your Highness, please tell me the things I need to do. I don't want to walk around the palace with nothing to do." Quinneta held the Crown Prince's sleeve just like a little child.
Carrine didn't look at her, but he could feel the tugging of his sleeve. Was she a child? He took her hand and removed it from his sleeve, then, he walked past her with his guards.
Quinneta's countenance fell, it was really disappointing, the Crown Prince didn't even care about her feelings at all.
She stood on a spot watching the Prince. He didn't even glance back to look at her. She left the place feeling dejected.
She decided to do some training. The Prince must have heard that her cultivation base was weak, maybe it might be the reason he don't want her to help him.
She went to the garden she had picked flowers the previous day. She sat on a swing, forming a tiny ball with her right fingers. She formed the exact same thing with her left fingers and brought them together. She exerted a little force and directed it to a flower. Slowly, the flower changed onto a much brighter color, shining and standing out amongst others.
Quinneta was so happy. She had being working on that for a while. It showed she had passed another stage.
"Beautiful."
A voice sounded from behind Quinneta.
Quinneta turned to meet two beautiful sapphire blue eyes. They were like sparkling jewels. His face was indeed superhandsome and young. He was none other than Camine, her husband twin.
"Your Highness." Quinneta said and bowed.
"Oh, please, call me Camine, you're in a much higher position being my brother's wife." he said walking closer to where Quinneta was. "I saw what you did, you have great powers for someone whose cultivation base is weak." He said pointing at the glittering flower.
"Thanks." Quinneta smiled. At least someone was complimenting her.
"Do you mind having tea with me, we can get to know more about each other, or are you busy?" Camine asked.
"I'm not, Your Highness," she said.
"Call me Camine, and I'll call you Quinneta, is it fine with you?" He asked.
"Yes, Ca-Camine," Quinneta said.
They both smiled. Camine stared intently at Quinneta, his brother was always getting the best things.
"Let's have tea at my gazebo, I've got a beautiful one. You love flowers right? I have plenty of them there." He said.
Quinneta lifted her gown as she walked along with Camine. He was a really lively person, his name suited him, Quinneta couldn't stop smiling as they walked to his gazebo.
They got there and took their seats. As Camine had said, it was really beautiful, painted in white and gold and decorated with the most beautiful flowers.
"Wow, it's really nice." Quinneta couldn't help but say.
"I'm glad you like it." Camine smiled and a maid poured them hot tea.
"I love it," she said.
"I love flowers." Camine carried the cup, while Quinneta looked around the gazebo.
"Flowers are really beautiful," she said.
"Have some tea," he pointed towards the steaming brew in front of her.
"Oh..yes," she carried the cup and had gentle sips.
"So how are you enjoying the palace?"
"I like it quite alright," she replied.
"Well, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always around," he said.
Quinneta nodded and drank tea. They continued talking for a while.
After Quinneta left him, she went to one of the palace training field and practice her powers there. Even though she was tired, she still wanted to practice hard. How else was she going to prove that she'd be ofgreat assistance to the Crown Prince?
Tenah felt sad from watching Quinneta train. She looked really helpless. They had just matched the most innocent and frail lady with the unbeatable cold blooded Prince.
Tenah saw the Crown Prince arrive and rushed to him.
"Your Highness, Her Highness has been practicing hard, she's unwilling to take a break, and she looks really tired." Tenah said bowing.
Carrine stared at the direction where Tenah came from. He caught a glimpse of Quinneta. She was really trying hard. He walked in with Lild, and with Tenah behind.
"Your Highness," Quinneta paused and bowed.
"What are you doing?" That voice lacked even the tiniest bit of warmth. The flames in his eyes increased, and Quinneta hadn't been wrong when she had said the flames in his eyes increased when he looked at her.
"I..,"
Quinneta wasn't given the chance to speak.
"Tenah bring her lunch and let her have it," He said and turned to leave.
"Your Highness, I wasn't trying to skip lunch, I just wanted to prove to you that I can be of help if you let me, I can.."
"Save it," he said and walked away with Lild following behind.
The presence of the Crown Prince made her star glow in a way that affected her heart, but it was the same man that was mean to her.
She blinked back her tears and walked outof the training field.
She went back to her room, had lunch and a bath, then sat down reading a book.
It was so obvious, he couldn't hide it, he doesn't like having her around.
