Chapter 5 An Agreement!

The property management staff repaired the kitchen pipe.

During this period, Waylon settled into the room next to Debra's on the upper floor, bringing along his belongings. He also learned about the nature of Debra and Rylee's friendship.

They had become best friends while studying abroad. Despite their contrasting personalities, fate had brought them together as the closest of companions. They attended the same college, graduated together, and remained inseparable even after returning to their homeland.

Rylee was employed by Debra at the Morgan Group. Their strong bond made it a logical choice for them to share a home.

They were the sole occupants of the villa. Aside from the cleaning staff, no one would enter the house, which explained why Rylee often wore very little around the house, leading to today's incident...

As dinner time neared, Waylon, having arranged his things upstairs, descended to the living room and took a seat on the sofa. He cast an unhappy glance at Rylee, who was seated across from him and fully clothed.

Waylon inquired, "So, we're going to be living together from now on, seeing each other constantly?"

Rylee responded, "You've just moved in with Debra, who's clearly out of your league. Why the long face?"

Becoming increasingly annoyed, she continued, "Do you think I'm excited about living with you? I think you're just putting on an act! I'm sure you're secretly delighted. Living with two beautiful women must have you smiling even in your sleep!"

Waylon shot back with a smirk, "You're judging everyone by your own superficial views! Sure, I'm attracted to beautiful women, but I have little respect for those who aren't honest, especially ones who lie about their measurements like you do."

"You..." Rylee started, taken aback.

Anger colored her cheeks, and for a moment, she was tempted to force Waylon's face against her chest to prove her point that she was indeed a 36E, not a 36D!

However, she held herself back, knowing that wasn't her way of handling things.

Rylee retorted, "So, you're not fond of me, huh? Fine, feel free to leave. Who's keeping you here against your will? Just remember, if you decide to leave, don't hold it against Debra. She's just trying to honor Mr. Morgan's final wish by making things work with you!"

Her eyes narrowed into a cunning smile, indicating she clearly understood the situation between Debra and Waylon.

"Why don't you be the one to leave?" Waylon challenged.

"Why? Because Debra and I bought this villa together. That means I own half of this place. So why on earth would I be the one to leave?" Rylee replied, her chuckle carrying an odd note.

Waylon frowned. Half of this villa belonged to Rylee? Was she rich too?

"This just got more complicated," Waylon mumbled to himself before turning to Debra, who stood there with a cold look.

"Don't expect me to buy out Rylee's share," Debra cut in sharply before Waylon could even speak.

She seemed to read his mind and responded with a frosty tone.

Waylon didn't know what to say.

"Got anything else to say?" Rylee asked, noticing Waylon's baffled expression. She laughed loudly and said, "Since I'm a co-owner, if you plan to stay, you'd better be careful about what you say and do to me. If I'm upset, I can throw you out. And it wouldn't be Debra's fault, right?"

Waylon's frown deepened.

He got the picture. Debra probably wanted to use Rylee to keep him from moving in, not anticipating their immediate clash.

Rylee, out for revenge, decided to let him stay, hoping for a chance to get back at him...

This woman was fiercely cunning!

Waylon muttered to himself, "I need to hang in there, especially since I want to get married in three months."

He then quickly put on a charming smile and said, "Haha, Rylee, you're really funny. We're like family; why would I ever upset you? Rest assured, if you need anything, I'll be there!"

Debra and Rylee were both taken aback. How could he change his attitude so quickly?

"Do you really mean you'll do anything I ask?" Rylee inquired, her eyes twinkling with playfulness as she smiled slyly.

"Absolutely, whatever you need!" Waylon replied with a grin.

"Alright, don't forget your promise!" Rylee responded.

She smiled wider, then added, "Since you've agreed, you won't mind signing the agreement I have here, right?"

"What agreement?" Waylon inquired, looking puzzled.

Rylee answered, "A housing agreement."

She then pulled out a piece of paper filled with text and slid it across to Waylon. Her expression turned serious as she stated, "This paper lays out the rules you need to follow while staying in this villa for the next three months. Take a look. If everything looks good to you, just sign it."

Waylon was momentarily at a loss for words. All the commotion had led to this crucial agreement.

Debra seemed to have a hand in this arrangement.

"Too many words. Just looking at them gives me a headache," Waylon grumbled as he glanced at the agreement. "I don't have to read it. Just summarize the rules for me," he added.

"Sure," Rylee agreed without hesitation.

"You've got a three-month deal with Debra. Legally, you're strangers for the duration. While we're living together, you can't compel Debra to do anything she's against," she explained casually.

"That's fine by me." Waylon understood the need for Debra to safeguard her freedom.

"Likewise, you can't make me do anything against my will," Rylee continued.

"Understood... That's fine by me." Waylon's face showed a mix of emotions. He thought it would be a win if Rylee didn't make him do anything!

"You're not allowed in my room or Debra's without permission, whether we're here or not."

"Alright," Waylon quickly agreed.

"And no smoking anywhere inside the house," Rylee added.

"Got it," Waylon replied.

Rylee had come up with more than a dozen rules, and Waylon nodded along without any fuss.

This reaction surprised both women. Waylon was agreeing so easily, which was out of character for him!

"Are we done?" Waylon smiled and asked when Rylee finished.

"These are the rules for now. I'll let you know if I think of any more," Rylee said with a shrug.

"Okay, now that we've got your rules out of the way, I've got a few requests for my wife," Waylon said, grinning.

Debra's expression turned into a frown. "What requests?" she asked.

"I want us to go on at least three dates over the next three months," Waylon responded. His smile turned playful, and though his laugh was somewhat annoying, it was also charming. He continued, "Think about it. Living together will show us if we can share a life, but going on dates will test if we can keep the romance alive. Both are important for a married couple. Plus, your grandfather is watching over us. You wouldn't want to upset him, right?"

Debra was at a loss for words.

Anger colored her face, and she wished she could march over and slap Waylon.

He was just too infuriating!
