[Students Dormitory - Boy's hostel]

He couldn't figure a better way than to meet Kai's closest friend, Ollie and told him to bring him along for the Movie night.

There was actually more crowd than he expected. All his roommates brought their girlfriends and one of the girls brought some other girls. Now Jonathan doubts if there'll be any space for him left.

"I thought I told you it's a guy thing why are there girls with us" he flared up to his room mates Liam and Miley.

"It was too late.. Lily already invited her bestie and I couldn't say no to her pout" Liam said.

"bro, the more the merrier isn't it? It's just a movie" Miley added.

The last roommate Eric is the bookworm who likes nothing pertaining relationships so he's practically single.

"Fine.. but I hope they aren't sleeping over, we'll be in trouble if they get caught" Jonathan asked.

"It'll be late before the movie ends and more riskier for them to sneak out.. this is not the first time we're doing this so please.." Miley said.

"Christ!" Jonathan cussed, it's all ruined.

There came a knock on the door, he immediately left the rest of the guys to attend to the knocker. Once his eyes met Kai, he felt blood rush up to his face and his got tinted with red flush.

"Hey guys, come on in .." he managed to say when he got back to himself. Ollie proceeded inside without thinking twice.

"Hi!" Kai said when they were left alone.

"Wassup!" he smiled coyly as he ran his hands through his hair and pinched the bridge of his nose in nervousness.

"We're in the same class but we barely interact and I kinda noticed you avoid me whenever you see me coming your way.." he trailed off not knowing what to say next.

"Well I .. " before he could land a girl called out to Kai when he noticed him standing at the door.

"Kai, you're here too" It was one of Lily invited 'guest'. She sprang up from her seat and ran to him, hugging him in an instance.

"Hey babe" he smiled and held her by her waist. What a flirt he is..

"We'll head inside" Kai nodded to Jonathan who had a displeased face. Do they know each other? What silly question, there probably dating or in a fling.

"Yeah" he shot and walked in with an annoyed look, so all his efforts of making a sweet popcorn and putting on his best pajamas are wasted?

"Y'all are getting your butts out after the movie and that's final!" he yelled as soon as he sat on his seat and everyone stared at him with confusing gazes but no one said anything to oppose.

"What's up with him?"

"how should I know?"

"I think he's probably pissed off because he doesn't have a partner.."

"You're funny but don't let him hear that"

Kai heard the whispering and looked at Jonathan who had a straight face glued to the film.

Minutes later.. the movie got to the steamy part where the ML and FL started making out. Jonathan looked around and saw most of them kissing to in unison with the movie except Kai and the other girl. He sighed in relief but flared up again when she fed him popcorn.. the popcorn he made!

"That's it!! up! up! All of you get out!!" he yelled and went to open the door. They were left stunned and didn't believe him for a moment until he yelled again.

"What's up with him?"

"what's going on?"

"I said go out!!!" he yelled and they started going out one by one while murmuring. Kai was the last to go out, he waited a little but Jonathan avoided his eyes and pointed for him to got out. He rubbed Jonathan's hair before heading out.

"Bro are you on you period or what? what the hell was that" his roommates yelled at him when he closed the door.

~Jasmine's POV

Aiden is so fun to talk with. We had a long walk before settling to have dinner in a popular restaurant known amongst the students.

"Do you have a boyfriend?" he said when we started waiting for our order. The question sent heat to my face as I knew where this is going to. I tucked a strand of my fallen hair before speaking.

"No.. are you going to ask me on a date"

"Yes, we're already in our date venue, all left is for you to be mine" he smiled as we maintained eye contact.

"aha" I laughed awkwardly and looked away.

"We barely know each other and I thought we'll lay low as friends for a period of time before the questions pops on.. at least that's how other guys did" I said.

"but I'm not other guys" he said and that made me to raise my eye to me his. He seem to be studying me a little before talking.

"are you scared?"

"Scared? me? why should I ?" I stuttered with a shaky voice while avoiding his gazes.

"hey.." he held my hand that I placed on the table.

"why are you scared?" he is so straight forward and I had the urge to open up. Maybe he'll be different.. maybe he won't avoid me.. just maybe.

"I .." Just will I was about to start talking, my eyes caught a glimpse for a familiar silhouette that I'll never mistake for another. I saw Lexi walk in looking especially handsome tonight. My eyes followed him until I noticed the girl who he brought out a chair for.

"Jasmine?" I remembered I have someone else waiting for my reply so I decided to say as I had in mind but before I could open my mouth this time, I heard someone yell me name for a couple of times.

"Jazz!!! is this your ghost boyfriend. OMG!! he's so cuuute, Hi I'm Alicia! Jasmine's friend!" Alicia rushed as soon as she got to our table.

"Oh.. hi" Aiden said awkwardly. While they were exchange some words, I saw Lexi stand up from the chair he had sat on while probably on a 'date' with Alicia and advance towards our table. He had a stoic expression and said nothing as he stood aside.

"So are you guys on a date? We too also! That'll make it a double date by coincidence, Lexi this will be so much fun" She said while she grabbed Lexi's hand. I think I have gotten a hold of why she's a running mouth today. There's this joy so clear in her eyes and I know it's from the assurance that I'm 'not' sleeping with her boyfriend.

"Yeah, let's go on a double date"

Alicia managed to find a way to switch tables with the people seating closer to us and the tables were joined together. I sat next to Aiden and Alicia sat next to Lexi.

"How did you two meet!" Alicia said as we began to dig into our meals. My mind was fixed on why Lexi is so focused on eating like no one is here.

"Lexi? are you okay?" I was so concerned that I couldn't hold in my questions. He looked up with his mouth full of food and did nothing as our eyes met. I saw him look at Aiden for a while before looking down to continue.

"So? you two?"

"In a pub" Aiden said. I looked at him to read what he was thinking but he smiled at me instead and now he looks more familiar. Oh I think I remember.. that night when I got drunk, I felt a burning continuous gaze on me and I looked back and saw a gentleman eyes on me. I couldn't see clearly but if I compare that foggy face to Aiden's, there's a 99.9 percent chance that it's him.

"What was attractive about her to you" Alicia continue to asked.

"Her eyes and lips whenever she pouts, her beauty is so breathtaking even at first sight" does he really mean it? they all say that but his sounds different and my heart skipped a beat when I heard it.

"That's so cool, I don't know why his countenance changed after we got to the restaurant but he's the most interesting guy I've ever met" Alicia said and rubbed Lexi's hair.

"Yeah" There was an awkward moment of silence as everyone ate for a while until Alicia popped up another question.

"Have you guys done it already?"

*Bang!*

Lexi surged up in anger, it was written all over his face. Everyone had their eyes on him but he darted out of the restaurant in large strides.

"babe!" Alicia stood up and yelled after him but I stopped her.

"Let me please" I tapped her and ran out behind him without waiting for her answer.

"Lexi! Lexi!! wait!!" I held his hands from behind as he slowed down in his steps.

"What's going on, don't you like him?" I asked in a calm tone.

"Then if I don't, will you break up with him?" he replied.

"But what don't you like about him, he is a nice guy!"

"you two met in a pub and I'm pretty sure it must've been a long time. Jasmine I asked you, Jazz I asked you if there's any guy hitting on you but you told me no.." he yelled

"Why do I have to tell you everything!!" I yelled back. I can't continue to be the dumb one, if he's choosing to go loud then I can also.

"Cuz we're best friends.. we're F*cking best friends Jazz!!" he yelled again before pinching the bridge of his nose and running his hands through his hair, he always does that when he's nervous or pissed off.

"You know what? I'm tired of subjecting to you. I have a boyfriend now and I appreciate the lessons you've taught me even though I just realized it was mainly for your satisfaction, let us strictly remain as the friends that we have been" I said. For a moment, I saw something like all his hopes being crushed down at once in his eyes before he replaced it with anger and snatching his hands from mine.

"You'll look for me and beg me to have you back after he breaks your heart like other guys, I promise you that Jasmine.. after all who wants to end up with a dumb short girl with flat @ss" with that, he walked backwards before jogging away.

Dumb? short? Flat@ss.

Lexi of all people knows how sensitive these words are to me. Maybe I heard wrong or he said that out of anger. I followed him hoping to see him where he parked his car but he already got in and he sped out. There was a poodle of settled water at the front but before I could avoid it, his tyre caused the water to splash all over me.

I felt my cheeks burn, not because of the dirty water but because of the tears running out of my eyes. What did I do? where did I go wrong? Is it because I asked for a breach of contract? It was just for fun.. wasn't it?

All I need is answers - answers from him.
