Chapter 10 Secretly

~Writer's POV

"come here" with so much frustration in him, he pulled Jonathan closer to him and crashed his lips on his. Jonathan eyes widened as he didn't know how to respond to Kai's erotic kisses.

As Jonathan felt the air in the surrounding raise in temperature, he pulled out abruptly out of the kiss and looked at Kai with widened eyes.

They both stared at each other for a while waiting for who will first talk.

"Are you..." just when Jonathan felt the need to break the awkward air, Kai cuts in.

"Don't think too much about it" he said with a firm voice and solid gaze.

"W-what?" Jonah stuttered, what does he mean, was that a mistake?. Just as if Kai read his mind, he added to his sentence:

"That wasn't a mistake, I just wanted to know if guys lips taste better" he smirked.

"And?"

"It doesn't! I wonder why guys turn themselves gay for just a butt hole that a girl has too. Thanks bro, I thought I fell for you for a moment so I wanted confirmation but damn, gay is not my thing and it's never gonna be mine" he rubbed Jonathan hair before walking past him but that enraged his anger.

"You really think it's fair by just walking away, Kai you kissed me!!" Jonathan yelled, his eyes became bloodshot as tears almost rolled out.

"Don't.. don't tell me you think I liked you back?"

"back? you knew I liked you all along? you're such a crap Kai!! Why the hell did you rub my hair from time to time and why the fvck did you hold my hands in public.. why .. you should have just ignored me than leading me on!!" With this rate of anger, Jonathan's voice began to shake and tiny tears came out of his doe eyes.

"dude! It was pretty much obvious, even my friends and some other course mates already dragged my attention to your feelings, and I wasn't leading on, you were simply an irresistible blueberry muffin" Kai said with his hands tucked in his jean pockets.

"I guess I made the mistake liking you, you will always be a jerk, what was I expecting" Jonathan cried and ran out of the toilet and out of the restaurant.

"I just wanted to know the feeling of how a boy's lip tastes"

[Aiden's Place.. Next day]

Aiden's POV.

"I love you" I said to her as we ended the video call. Maybe it's too early to say that or it kind of scared her a little but she said nothing before hanging up.

She isn't really vibrant like how she used to be. She told me how Lexi is to her and it's kind of uneasy for me to have her sleeping under the same roof with a boy. I know this should be the loving phase of our relationship but I don't know why I suddenly can't trust her.

Lexi isn't a kid and he'll be back whenever he wants to. I continued drying my hair, I just came out out of the bathroom when she called. She told me I could've rejected the call but hell no! even if I'm on the toilet seat I'll still answer to her call.

You must me wondering what I do since I'm not studying.. well I'm basically the head of the family so I have to find a way to make ends meet. I run a café for a living, it's not a big one but it's quite popular although the shop is placed in rent and I kind of had to fake my age to be a shop owner when I just started it in highschool.

I threw on my blue polo shirt and a black trousers and boarded the bus to work without looking back. I clocked in and started my usual routine, accepting orders and making coffee and tea, I guess that's what I do best.

When the orders seem to die down a little, I sat at the counter and brought out my phone to check the time but a call from a strange number rang in and before I could answer the call, I felt someone at the front of the counter.

"One sexy waiter with extra c*ndoms to go!" I would never mistake that voice for another. Chloe, my ex crush.

[Earlier At L&J Apartment]

Writer's POV

Jasmine couldn't think properly. One who doesn't know about their relationship will think he's her boyfriend and he's made of the oxygen she's breathing in.

Jasmine sighed as she finished gulping down the cold water. She heaved another sigh but as soon as she turned around, her eyes met a jaw dropping sight.

"Lexi" she whispered. Her shock transformed into a wide smile. She ran towards him with the aim of giving him a warm hug but restricted herself immediately, What if he's here to take his belongings and own his own apartment?

"I'm not a ghost hey, give me a hug!!" he smiled and Jasmine jumped onto him, holding him tight and wishing it wasn't a dream.

"I forgive you little one" Lexi added.

"Forgive me? hey I should be the one forgiving you" jasmine broke the hug and stood akimbo.

"Let's just forgive ourselves, I miss you so much" Lexi smiled and rubbed her hair slowly.

"I miss you too but.. why did you act like a jerk, I only wanted a boyfriend.."

"I was just worried that he'd leave you like other guys.. I just wanted what is best for you bestie" he smiled as he continued stroking her hair and face. He stopped caressing her face and brought his face closer, just as he was about to seal the distance, she spoke up.

"I know you want good things for me but you're the only guy who has never left me but I can't possibly date you, can I?" she said without reasoning.

"Yeah.. right"

"Oh, what do you have here" She noticed he had a bag and snatched it from him before he could explain. Jasmine opened the scrolled up card and it turned out to be a painting.

The painting was odd with so many canvas, interwoven with each other, somehow it looked familiar but she couldn't interpret it or recall where she had ever seen something similar

"It's beautiful" she smiled.

"Do you know what it is?" Lexi asked.

"No, but whatever it is.. it's still beautiful" Jasmine replied.

"Guess what! It's been a week since I've been dating Aiden, I think it's worth celebrating.. I'll go take a bath, please make yourself at home since you're at home" Jasmine smiled and ran up to her room, now that Lexi is back, she can finally think.

"A week.. they just started dating" Lexi mumbled to himself and things seem to work out for him because he spotted her phone on the couch, he strode to the chair and unlocked her phone without thinking too much. He searched her contacts for 'Aiden' but didn't find it.. stupid him, she's definitely in love so she can't save his number so plainly.

"FIRST AID" he scoffed at the nickname, Why is it so cool? it's definitely him. He copied the number to his phone and dialed it. It rang through the first time and he didn't pick it up.

"Wimp"

He called it again and he finally answered.

"Hello? Aiden speaking, who is this?.." Aiden asked politely

"I'm going to be your nightmare if you don't stay away from Ja.."

"Lexi? Who are you speaking to so secretly" I heard Jasmine say from behind and I freaked out on impulse.
