Chapter 7 Farewell Night

Who would have thought that a girl who looks tomboyish, ignorant, and sometimes haphazard owns a well-known boutique with a business in the fashion and creative industries, contrary to her appearance?

In addition, Anna is also reliable in taking care of Amelia. Despite her seemingly indifferent appearance, Anna had a solid maternal spirit, making the children feel at home and easily attached to her.

Harry invited Amelia and Anna to dinner tonight and asked them to prepare. However, Anna nonchalantly responded that they only needed to show up without special preparations.

Amelia intervened, explaining that her father expected them to dress formally. This resulted in Anna wearing an evening gown and high heels like the other women who had met her father.

"Oops, Amel!" Harry scolded.

Anna chuckled and inquired if many ladies were around Amelia's father. Amelia nodded, but the cute girl complained that she disliked them because they dressed immodestly and often flirted.

Anna clarified that the attire was designed for parties, not because of the need for more fabric. Anna also disclosed her preference for casual dressing.

"You looked stunning in that evening dress, Anna," Amelia reminisced about their first encounter.

Anna sighed and explained that her grandmother had arranged a blind date for her that night and insisted that she wear the dress. Anna's face darkened as she recalled.

"Alright, what about tonight then?" Harry interrupted, asking for reassurance. Anna asked Harry for the event's details, whether there was a particular party. Still, Harry replied that it was only a limited dinner as a farewell to his subordinates and friends because he would be leaving the next day.

Anna nodded; she understood and took Amelia to look for the dress.

"Dresses? Are we going to wear evening dresses?" Amelia asked. But Anna smiled and explained they didn't have to dress formally; they would keep their style. However, since it was her father's farewell dinner, it had to be a little different to make it memorable.

Amelia suggested that they pair up. Anna smiled and agreed; the little girl cheered in excitement.

"Could I take Amelia to the boutique?" Anna asked Harry. Harry nodded and smiled, saying Anna was a fashion expert.

"What do you mean?" Anna asked, confused and surprised.

Harry explained that he already knew Anna's line of work and did not need to pretend. Anna denied acting and that it wasn't essential to introduce herself since Harry had never asked.

"Sure, take my car," Harry said. He suggested Anna use his car because he planned to go to the office with Jo, who could help with something.

Anna was happy and surprised that Harry had let her go with Amelia alone. She took Amelia with her, and the little girl was excited when Anna drove instead of Jo because Jo strolled like a snail.

After hearing Amelia's reaction, Harry changed his mind. He decided to tell Jo to take Amelia and Anna.

Amelia sulked but assured her Dad that Anna would not speed. Anna also confirmed this. Finally, Harry agreed with the condition that if they were caught speeding, it would not be allowed again.

Anna and Amelia quickly said, "Okay boss!" and left immediately. Harry smiled at both of them. He could now leave Amelia in the care of Anna without worry.

Amelia was pleased; Anna took the little girl to her boutique; of course, Amelia didn't understand that the boutique belonged to Anna. Anna picked out a semi-casual dress in Amelia's favorite pink color; they wore matching clothes and accessories, beautiful and elegant.

They arrived at Harry's house when Harry set; Anna was getting used to discipline and following Harry's lifestyle.

The man was waiting for them. Harry was stunned when Anna and Amelia entered; they looked compact with matching outfits and accessories.

Amelia surprised her father and asked, "Are we pretty, Dad?"

Harry lifted his daughter and complimented her on her appearance. Amelia laughed happily and reminded him that she was not a child anymore.

Harry responded, "You're still my little baby, even though you have adult friends." Harry put Amelia down, and she hugged him. Anna smiled at the sight of them.

"Okay, let's go!" Harry said happily, and they left in a happy mood.

Harry organized a dinner with some of his closest people as a send-off and farewell because, this time, Harry would be staying abroad for a long time.

He delegated his work affairs to his confidants and entrusted Anna to care for the house and daughter.

After saying a few words, they took a photo together; Amelia was pleased, and several times, she asked to take a picture with Anna and her father. Harry also enjoyed the company of the three of them.

"Remember, Dad, no flirting or misbehaving while you're there," Amelia reminded him. Harry nodded and smiled.

Everyone there laughed at Amelia's behavior. They already understood that Amelia was very possessive of the woman who approached her father.

However, there was also a question in the heart: who was Joanna, the woman who was so close to Amelia, Harry's family, or his future wife?

These questions crossed their minds, but they didn't want to ask them because it was their boss's personal matter.

Suddenly, a woman arrived, surprising them all.
