Chapter 4 Start of Action

Harry slightly raised his lips and asked, "So, how old are you now?" Anna replied, "I'm turning 25 this December, still young, right? But Grandma insists on me getting married."

While driving, Harry asked how long Anna would pretend in front of her grandmother. Anna said that she didn't know and would think about it later. Right now, her main concern was to save her grandmother.

Harry nodded casually, making Anna realize she had forgotten to thank the man beside her. "Thank you for understanding, Harry," she said, grateful. "No need to thank me," Harry replied flatly. "I did it because of my daughter. I'll be there for her as long as Amelia wants me to help." Anna thought, 'Hmm, it seems like Amelia's father is also quite arrogant. This piques my curiosity.'

Meanwhile, Anna's mother anxiously waited at the hospital for Grandma to regain consciousness. However, this time, Grandma's illness had caused her to sleep longer than usual.

"Mom..." Anna hugged her mother as soon as she arrived.

"Finally, you're here Anna," Mom said.

"How is Grandma, Mom?" Anna asked, worried.

"She was moved to the treatment room after spending the night in the ICU, but she's still not conscious," her mother replied.

"Can I see Grandma, Mom?" Anna requested for a moment.

"Sure, let's go in and talk to her," Anna's mom said. She then noticed the man standing beside Anna curiously.

Anna introduced Harry to her mother, "This is Harry, Mom," and Harry politely greeted, "Good morning, Auntie."

Anna's mother smiled kindly but couldn't hide her surprise. She grabbed her daughter and whispered suspiciously, "Anna, who is he?" Anna said, "I'll explain everything later, Mom. For now, Harry and I will go inside first."

Anna's mother nodded even though she was still confused; she looked at the man beside her daughter.

Slowly, they entered their grandmother's room, who was still lying weakly on the bed.

The IV tube was wrapped around her arm up to her nose, and her breathing movements were weak.

Anna reached out for her grandmother's cold hand and held it tightly. Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she couldn't control her sadness. She blamed herself for her grandmother's current condition.

"Grandma, I'm sorry. I know I'm the reason why you're like this. I shouldn't have left you alone. But please understand, I had to run away from Jack. He wasn't a good man," Anna said tremblingly.

Harry listened to the complaints of the girl who was his pretend girlfriend. Looking directly, the man realized that Anna's problem was very complicated. However, this method needs to be corrected. It's just that it has promised that I will follow this game.

"But, Grandma, don't worry, okay? Actually, I already have a future husband. Now he's here with me." Anna said.

Mom, who had been listening to all this time, finally understood who Harry was. It's just that she was baffled.

Is it true that he is Anna's boyfriend? Didn't her daughter always say she didn't have a boyfriend?

Anna's Mom struggled with various questions until Harry shouted softly, surprising her.

"Grandma's hands are moving!"

Grandma's hands are moving!" Harry exclaimed.

Mom and Anna were shocked and found that their beloved elderly family member was moving her fingers and trying to open her eyes.

Mom is thrilled. She immediately called a doctor.

On the other side, Grandma looked weakly at Anna; slowly, her gaze shifted to Harry. The figure of the handsome man standing next to Anna made Grandma's mouth open to say something.

However, the doctor and several nurses came and immediately checked her.

"Grandma is really very worried about you, Anna. She probably struggled to wake up after you told her you had a future husband. In fact, last night the doctor said the chances were fifty-fifty, depending on Grandma's will to live. Don't disappoint Grandma again, Anna." Anna's Mom suddenly said while looking at Anna and Harry.

Anna was shocked. She worried about what would happen if her Grandma realized her relationship with Harry was unreal. Anna hoped there was a solution. The priority was to ensure that Grandma was safe and healthy. Anna needed Grandma to be strong enough to handle any news. Lastly, Anna planned to talk to Grandma slowly to avoid overwhelming her.

"Anna," Grandma called weakly. "I'm here, Grandma."

Anna replied with a smile.

"Are you really getting married?" Grandma asked. "Yes, Grandma, please pray that everything goes well," Anna replied. "Where is your future husband?" Grandma asked curiously, "Oops, I forgot to introduce him. This is Harry, my boyfriend, Grandma." Anna replied.

Anna appeared timid as she introduced Harry, while the man politely smiled and held Grandma's hand.

"How are you feeling now, Grandma?" he politely asked.

However, Grandma responded, "Is that you, Harry?"

"Yes, Grandma, it's me," Harry softly replied.

"Do you love my granddaughter?" Grandma asked.

Harry glanced at Anna and smiled, "Yes, Grandma. And I'll make sure to take good care of her." replied Harry.

"Thank goodness, I'm happy to hear that. My granddaughter was purchased. Grandma said.

"What?" Anna was shocked, "Do you think I'm something for sale that nobody wants," Anna replied to her Grandma. Harry and Mom chuckled at the grandma joke.

"Cause you were told to get married, it was hard," Grandma responded, "so, how long have you been in a relationship?"

"Six months!"

"Three months!"

Anna and Harry responded almost simultaneously, but their answers were different.
