Chapter 7 Revenge on Violet (2)

I couldn't sleep last night because today is the day I have to go to the Dark Moon. I had to wake up very early to dress up as Violet. Paul taught me how to put on and maintain the artificial mask one last time. After going to Dark Moon, I had to know how to do these things myself, not reveal my identity.

When I walked out into the great hall with Violet's face and gorgeous clothes, Luna Selena looked at me with satisfied eyes. She said, "The Dark Moon people sent to pick you up have been waiting outside. You should follow him. Alpha and I will go to the Dark Moon when the wedding occurs. Remember, during this time, do not reveal your identity. Otherwise, you will have to bear the consequences yourself."

I pursed my lips and nodded but didn't answer. Selena suddenly frowned and said, "You don't have to bring that dirty backpack."

On my shoulder, I was carrying the backpack I had brought since the Dead Forest. It didn't quite match the gorgeous outfit I was wearing. So Selena became annoyed.

I firmly said, "This is mine; I want to bring it."

Selena looked at my determined expression and remained silent, her expression as if she wanted to repeat it. Maybe I'm leaving too, so she doesn't want to fight with me either. She said, annoyed, "Give it to the servant. Don't wear it on your body and lose your face."

The servant standing nearby immediately ran over and raised his hands to wait to receive my backpack. I didn't want to prolong my time with Selena, so I did as she said. Then we went outside together.

In front of the mansion, a car had long been parked. Standing beside the car was a handsome young man dressed in polite clothes. When he saw Selena and I approaching, he bowed to say hello and introduced himself as Logan, Darian's assistant. He came to pick me up on behalf of Darian.

At this point, Selena holds my hand, a sad and nostalgic face, and speaks sickly like she's actually sending her daughter off to get married.

"Violet, when you get there, remember to call me. I will miss you so much. Try to adapt to the new environment. If you have a problem, contact me; no matter what problem, I will help you solve it...."

Selena talks so much that it bothers me inside. I can't remember what she said because I knew it was for her daughter, not me. I admire her because she has great acting talent.

I interrupted Selena's words with an annoyed and overbearing attitude, "Mom, I know. You have told me these words many times already. I heard so much that my ears hurt. I will take good care of myself. I believe that no one will dare to disrespect me."

Selena's expression was stiff. In my heart, I chuckled. She knows how to act, and so do I. I'm portraying Violet's arrogant and overbearing attitude as faithfully as possible.

If Logan hadn't been here, Selena would've been mad and scolded me for being rude. Seeing Selena's patient face makes me laugh so hard. I had to try hard not to laugh out loud.

Selena was angry, but in a moment, she regained her composure. "Uh, I won't say anymore. How dare you call me annoying today? I feel so sad. I'm just worried about you. Time is no longer early. You should go!" Selena's tone contained more love than reproach.

I pretended to comfort Selena for two sentences. Then we hugged each other to say goodbye. Although we both felt disgusted by each other, we still had to look happy on the outside.

I saw with my eyes that the servant had put my backpack in the car's trunk before I got into the car with peace of mind.

The car started rolling like the gear of my life's destiny had started to work. I am still determining the future; everything is a mysterious question mark.

I turned to the rear to see the magnificent mansion through the windshield. In my head, I replayed last night. While everyone was fast asleep, I sneaked into Violet's room. Before entering her room, I lit an aromatherapy that induced a coma. The plume of smoke entered Violet's room, and she smelled it so she couldn't wake up for ten minutes. Then I went inside leisurely. I took out the prepared itching powder and sprinkled it all over Violet's body. To avoid getting involved, I wore a tight outfit from head to toe from the beginning; even my mouth and nose were covered.

After I finished everything, I went back to my room. Only then could I sleep peacefully.

During my stay at Alpha Raymond's mansion, I endured Violet's unreasonable abuse. So before I leave, I have to take revenge on her once before I feel satisfied. I want to let Violet know that I am not someone who is easily bullied.

Maybe I can't transform into a wolf and don't have a strong fighting power, but I can silently kill many people without letting people know because I'm a poison maker.

That must be from a long time ago, when I was twelve years old, during a school picnic, I was lured to a strange place by bullies. Then they left, leaving me lost in the forest. While a wild leopard was chasing me, I met an older woman. In an instant, she made the ferocious leopard lying on the ground.

Her name is Pearl. I was taken by her to her small house deep in the woods. After healing me, she showed me the way out of the forest. I don't know why Pearl lives in the forest alone. I feel she is very kind. More than that, I was intrigued by how she took down the leopard without transforming into a wolf.

Since then, I've been coming to see Pearl often. I was delighted to learn that she was a poison maker. I begged her to teach me, and she agreed. I started learning how to make poison since then. No one else knew I learned poison crafting except for Pearl and my mother.

When I was sixteen, Pearl passed away.

I stopped reminiscing, feeling bitter every time I thought of Pearl's death. She died of old age, nothing else. I still remember that before she closed her eyes, she told me absolutely not to use poison to kill people indiscriminately. I don't kill those who bully me or Violet, but I will make those who agitate me suffer for their actions.

At dawn this morning, Violet screamed because her body was so itchy. Even though I was on the second floor, she was on the fourth floor, but I could still hear her screams. Then, I heard the voices of people in the mansion making noise. I know the itching powder has worked.

"Get some rest! There is still a long way to go." Logan suddenly spoke up, interrupting my train of thought.

I looked at the mirror reflecting Logan's face. His face was a bit stiff. I know that when I spoke disrespectfully to Selena, I made a wrong impression on Logan. I didn't answer; I just nodded and closed my eyes to rest.

I don't want to care what other people think of me because for the next year, I have to play the role of an overbearing and arrogant woman, so I know no one will like me. I was mentally prepared to accept those things.
