Chapter 8 Titus

I fell asleep in the car, and Logan called me to wake up when the car stopped. He opened the car door for me; it was already dark outside. In front of me was a large hotel with bright lights in the corner of the sky.

"You will be here in the pre-wedding time," Logan explained. Then he led me inside the hotel.

The hotel staff politely welcomed Logan and me. Logan received the room card from the receptionist and led me up to my room. The hotel staff carried my luggage. I glanced at the backpack a few times; inside the backpack were a few vials of my poison. My mother prepared it for me to protect myself. So I'm afraid it's lost.

The room for me is the most oversized VIP room in this hotel. The room is lavishly decorated with the most luxurious and high-class furniture. I felt slightly overwhelmed but quickly regained my composure to avoid losing face.

Logan handed me the room card and said, "Tell me if you have any requests. I will be your support in the time before the wedding."

Then I saved Logan's phone number in my cell phone. Before Logan left, he said, "Tomorrow at nine o'clock, you have to go to Moon Castle to meet Luna Layla. I will come to pick you up. Please prepare well."

I nodded in agreement. When Logan left, I sat down on the sofa, sighing inwardly. Afterward, I removed my makeup, showered, and went to bed. Logan bought me food on the way, so I didn't need to eat more.

...

At nine o'clock the following day, I was in front of Moon Castle. I have heard this castle's reputation for a long time; its grandeur and magnificence cannot be fully expressed in pictures. When I witnessed it with my own eyes, I was deeply overwhelmed.

Moon Castle appeared in the early years when Dark Moon was founded and has existed for decades. Time does not make it fade but adds to it a mysterious and ancient look. It is considered a great work, a typical symbol of the Dark Moon. So, it was preserved by the Alpha generations of Dark Moon until now.

Logan took me to the royal garden. The garden is as beautiful as in the picture, with more than a hundred species of flowers blooming brilliantly. Under the canopy of a large tree, a woman with an aristocratic aura was drinking tea. She looked at me with a smile.

I greeted Luna Layla politely. She kindly invited me to sit and ordered the servants to pour me tea. Luna asked me about some basics. I answered according to what I had learned earlier. My attitude towards Luna Layla is very gentle, not pretentious or arrogant.

I didn't want to lose this marriage, so I showed such an attitude, but I didn't expect it would lead to Luna Layla's suspicions. She said probingly, "Your personality is different from what I've been told, and I've heard that you don't agree to marry Darian, but it seems like all I know is bigotry."

I smiled faintly and replied, "People often say things that are not true to satisfy their imagination. Don't pay any attention to that bullshit."

Luna Layla's sharpened slightly; it seemed she wasn't satisfied with my answer, but she didn't ask anymore and changed the topic.

I sensed that maybe Luna Layla really wanted me to marry Darian, so she tried her best to be gentle with me.

At noon, Luna Layla invited me to have lunch with her. I wondered why, other than Luna Layla, I didn't see the others.

Lunch quickly ended, and I asked permission to leave to let Luna Layla take her lunch break.

In the long and wide corridor, the servant walked ahead to guide me out of the castle. The castle area is extensive; I might need help if I go here alone.

After walking, the servant stopped and said, "You keep going straight to the end of the corridor, turn right, then keep going straight, and you will come out of the castle. I still have work to do. I want to leave first."

The maid said that and then quickly ran away, leaving me bewildered; her figure disappeared behind the wall before I could call her back.

I sighed, continuing to follow the maid's instructions earlier. If the one standing here was Violet, I bet she would make a fuss and teach that disrespectful maid a lesson. I didn't want to cause trouble, so I suppressed the discomfort in my heart.

As I turned right, a prominent figure suddenly blocked in front of me. Then, a sudden strong thrust from that person made my body wobble, my back hitting the wall. I would have fallen to the ground if it weren't for the wall.

Before I could regain my sanity, that large body pressed against me, causing my back to be glued to the wall behind me. His hands were against the wall, blocking my sides as if holding me back.

Startled, I looked up at the other side. The handsome man's face caught my eye. His hair is golden like the sun; he has bright eyes and a high nose. His lips curled slightly, forming an evil and seductive smile.

A name popped into my head: Titus. He is the second child of Alpha Harold and Luna Layla, Darian's younger brother. His face resembles Luna Layla, seven out of ten.

In an instant, I regained my composure. I yelled, "What the hell are you doing? You should let me go."

I don't know Titus's intentions, but I know that letting someone see Titus and me in this erotic position would cause a big misunderstanding.

The smile on Titus' lips deepened, but there was a cold light in his eyes. He lowered his head, his face closer to mine. I've never been this close to a man. For a moment, I panicked and waved my hand to push him away, but the hand that touched Titus' hard chest startled me even more, pulling my hand back.

In my ears, I heard Titus laugh. Then he whispered in my ear, "Darian is a piece of shit. You marry him mean to jump into the pit of fire. Or do you agree to marry me? I can give you anything you want."

The warm breath on my ears made me feel ashamed, but when I heard Titus' words, the shame completely disappeared and was replaced by resentment and anger.

Titus' act of seducing his sister-in-law made me feel disgusted. He, like Selena and Violet, are both shameless people.

I lowered my head, not letting Titus see my disgusted eyes. An idea popped into my head.

I raised my head, looked directly at Titus, and smiled brightly. I saw Titus's eyes flicker with surprise and then a look of satisfaction. Perhaps he thought I had accepted his offer, so his smile deepened and caught him off guard against me.

Right now, I kicked hard between Titus's legs.

Although my kicking force was not strong, that sensitive area was vulnerable, so it only took a moderate kick to knock Titus down.

Titus was half-kneeling and half-sitting on the ground, his hands clutching the sensitive spot I had kicked. His face was red, with blue veins floating on his forehead. He looked at me with evil eyes, his mouth closed, not daring to scream out loud.

I was pleased to see Titus' miserable appearance. With the same smile on my face as before, I said, "This time, it's just a warning. If you dare to do that to me again, you will receive the consequences many times more than now."

I said, then turned and walked away arrogantly, leaving Titus so angry his head was smoking.
