Chapter 10 10

Heat and a strong heartbeat coursed through David as he felt how much the girl loved him.

"That's enough for today, now go to sleep."

Vara held David's hand tightly and looked into his eyes with a gleam before kissing David's lips sensually, causing him to suck on her lips, which still had traces of his blood.

"Vara, I have to go back to class now. I'll come back to pick you up."

Before leaving, David placed two slices of bread with jam near Vara.

"If you're hungry, eat that."

Afterward, David unwrapped a bandage to cover the bite mark on his neck.

"David, I love you," Vara said before going into her dream world.

David just smiled and walked back into his classroom to start the lesson. But before he could begin, he was stopped by the beautiful woman, Clair.

"Do you still believe she's a missing princess?" Clair asked.

"A little. Give me time," David replied.

Clair tried to tease David, running her hand down his chest and removing the bandage covering his neck.

"Are you feeding her again?" Clair glared at David angrily, unable to accept that David kept pampering Vara with delicious meals.

"David, you're a pure-blooded vampire. What would the royal family say if they knew you were willingly giving your blood to a vampire with impure blood?"

"Can we not discuss this now, Clair?"

"David, you're a prince, and I'm a princess. Why don't you make this easier? We could get married and have a baby."

"Because my heart isn't with you, Clair. I'm sorry."

"You're truly cruel, David. You never let me into your heart even a bit. You never allow me."

David no longer cared about Clair and walked away to enter the classroom and focus on the lesson. The school bell eventually rang, and David neatly packed his books into his bag before heading to meet Vara.

"David, our business isn't finished," Clair tried to stop David, who was in a hurry to meet Vara.

"What do you want from me?"

"To get married and have a baby."

David just stared at her flatly and continued walking towards Vara. But Clair chased after him and held him tightly.

"What about tomorrow night? Our families are waiting for us."

"Tonight, I don't want to return to the castle, Vara."

"David, you're a prince, the heir to the throne. How can a prince say something like that? Come on, tonight will be ours."

David didn't answer and continued to walk towards Vara.

"Vara?"

"David? Has the school bell rung?"

"Yes, come on, get up. I'll take you home," David said as he helped Vara, who had just woken up from her nap.

"Thank you, David."

"Come on, we need to go now."

As they walked home, Vara was once again subjected to bullying. Her classmates intentionally tripped her, causing her to fall and hit her head, which made her bleed slightly.

"All of you, go away!" Vara held David's hand tightly, then just smiled.

"Your names are Adan and Lucia, right?" Vara asked, pretending to be naive because she rarely attended class and had forgotten her classmates' names.

"You're so foolish, you've forgotten our names. Typical bad vampire," they both said.

"Who's the vampire?"

"It's pointless to talk to a foolish woman."

David took Vara away from them, escorting her home.

"David, thank you."

"Of course, then I'll go back home. Goodbye, Vara."

"Goodbye, David."

David returned home but was stopped by Clair, who stared at him sharply.

"Wanna bet with me?"

"A bet?"

"Tonight, she'll slaughter her two friends or not," Clair said.

David grinned and looked at Clair with his sharp gaze.

"You still believe that gossip, Clair? Vara is not that kind of woman."

"Slaughter or not."

"Not."

"But I will bet that she'll slaughter them tonight. If my hunch is correct, she's the one who's been killing innocent villagers all this time."

"I'll prove it. She's not a lowly vampire like that."

"Okay, if she commits a massacre tonight, then tomorrow my body will be entirely yours."

They shook hands and agreed on their bet.

Tonight, David remained in his house, a place he occupied alone, having left the castle to attend school and contribute to the education of the vampire generation to make them more refined.
