She then got back into her car and hurriedly drove home because she had to complete her campus work.
"I'm home," Devya said.
"Where have you been, Devya? I've been waiting for you since noon, even the doctor has gone home," her mother said, folding her arms in front of her and looking sternly at her daughter.
"I'm sorry, Mom. I had to help my friend with some work. I promised her two days ago," Devya replied.
"What about your own work? Have you finished it?"
Devya just chuckled and was about to walk back to her room to work on her campus assignment.
"I need to hurry," she said.
While working on her assignment, her mind drifted back to the man who had just fixed her car, making her smile and feel very drowsy.
"I'm so sleepy, maybe I should take a quick one-hour nap and then continue with my campus work," Devya said.
She climbed onto her bed, lay down, and quickly fell asleep with the intention of waking up in an hour. Unfortunately, she couldn't work on her assignment because she was too tired and sleepy.
"I'm so tired. Maybe I'll do it tomorrow."
The alarm clock went off, and she woke up in a panic, realizing it was already 8 AM. She hurriedly showered, checked her empty campus assignment, and panicked even more. She quickly submitted all her campus assignments and rushed to campus.
"Mora!" Devya called out, waving her hand with a worried expression as she hadn't completed any of her campus assignments.
"Devya, where have you been? You haven't even submitted your campus assignment. I suspect you haven't finished it," Mora said.
Devya looked very worried and admitted that she hadn't done any of her campus assignments.
"I haven't done my campus assignment. Have you finished yours? Can I see yours?" Devya asked.
"Not anymore. I have to make you realize the importance of managing your time between friends and yourself. We can be good friends, but don't be foolish!" Mora said firmly.
Devya pouted, but she still defended herself.
"I just felt sorry for her, and besides, I made a promise."
"Before making promises, you should assess whether you can fulfill them or not. Don't let your promises harm yourself," Mora advised.
"Stop being so angry. Alright, I won't repeat my mistake," Devya said.
Mora walked alongside her, whispering, and handed her sketch to Devya.
"I've already done this for you, but you must promise not to exploit it. Consider this sketch as a favor, and you must repay it with improved behavior," Mora said.
Devya smiled happily and was touched by her friend's kindness.
"Okay, I'll definitely repay it. Thank you so much, Mora. I promise to be better," Devya said.
"Don't promise me, you have to prove it!"
Devya smiled and nodded, then entered the classroom with Mora.

Brakk!!!
A loud noise, like the sound of a table being slapped with paper on it, echoed through the room. The piercing gaze seemed like it could kill the girl who sat there, looking down with a fearful expression.
"Father, forgive me."
"Forgive?!! You're just like your mother, foolish!! Both of you are equally foolish!"
Devya clenched her fists at her sides and stared sharply at her father.
"You're nothing like Edgar!! He's a pride-worthy child, while you're just a parasite!"
Devya couldn't hold back her anger any longer. She erupted with all the words she had been holding back since earlier.
"Don't think just because you're my former father, you can insult my mother as you please!! I don't want a scoundrel like you as my father!"
"Ungrateful child, Devya!!" her father shouted.
Devya stormed out of her father's office, clutching Mora's sketch and with her eyes welling up with tears. She saw the campus courtyard bustling with activity, all the girls carrying chocolates and flowers, surrounding someone in the center. It piqued Devya's curiosity, and she approached the commotion.
