Chapter 7 7

"You're a very friendly and kind young lady. Thank you for your service," a customer complimented.

Devya smiled with delight and then headed back to the kitchen to continue her work.

"Is every day like this for you?" Devya asked, massaging her sore shoulders.

Layla chuckled, nodded, and joined in massaging her friend's shoulders. "Cheer up!! You're still new, so it's normal to feel this way. Later, I'll treat you to some gimbap or ice cream, your choice."

"No need. After work, I'll head straight home."

"Alright, thank you so much for helping me, Devya. Now, let's get back to work. Stay motivated!"

After finishing work, Devya quickly changed her clothes and decided to head home.

"I have to go now," she said.

"Are you sure? Don't you want to eat something or ask me to do something for you?" Layla tried to persuade her.

"No, I just want to go home. Goodbye," Devya said.

She started her car, intending to drive back home, but then disaster struck. Suddenly, her car broke down in the middle of the road.

"Oh my God! What's happening now? Why did my car stop suddenly? What am I going to do?" Devya panicked.

Devya looked extremely anxious and panicked. "Mom, Dad, please help me. Don't let my car break down like this before I can make it home. Please..."

Not only was her car broken down, but heavy rain also prevented her from leaving the vehicle.

"My life is so unfortunate, not only is my car broken down, but it's also raining. What should I do now?"

In the midst of the panic that engulfed her due to the mishap that had befallen her, she suddenly heard a tapping on her car's window, which startled her and made her turn to look at her car's window. She saw a man on a big motorcycle with a helmet and mask knocking on her car window.

"What's going on?" Devya asked.

The man signaled for her to get out of the car, and Devya rolled down her car window to talk to him.

"My car broke down, and with this heavy rain, I can't get out of the car," she explained.

The man removed his mask, revealing a handsome face that left Devya completely captivated.

"Am I in heaven right now?" Devya wondered aloud.

The man waved his hand in front of Devya's face, snapping her out of her reverie.

"Yes, can you fix it now?" Devya said.

She retrieved an umbrella from her car and approached the man, who was opening the car trunk to get the spare tire.

"Can I assist you?" Devya asked, feeling somewhat uneasy because this kind stranger was helping her.

"Yes, please hold my helmet," he said, handing her the helmet.

Devya held the helmet with a smile, keeping the handsome man company as he changed the car's tire.

"Driving a car is not the only important skill, you should also know how to fix it yourself. In situations like this, you won't panic," the handsome man said as he finished his work.

"Y-yes," Devya stammered.

"Done," the handsome man announced.

Now, they were locked in each other's gaze. Devya was once again captivated by the man's stunning looks, his face resembling an angel's, making her wish she could marry him.

"Now, you should head home. I need to get going too," he said.

"Oh, here's your helmet," Devya offered, handing it to him.

The handsome man smiled sweetly. "Thank you," he said.

"N-no, I should be the one thanking you."

Devya watched as his perfectly sculpted figure mounted his motorcycle and put his mask back on. The handsome man smiled once more before driving away on his motorcycle.

"He's incredibly handsome. I feel like I'm in heaven," Devya said with a delighted smile.
