Chapter 6 6

Her mother just touched her forehead and sighed heavily, feeling exhausted dealing with her stubborn and headstrong daughter.

"Oh my, that child really drives me crazy."

Devya left her house and got into her car, heading to her friend Layla's newly opened café. During the drive, she called Mora.

"Mora, I'm waiting for you at Layla's café."

"Sorry, I can't make it today. I have to work on a design project. Hey, Devya, you also have a design project, why don't you work on it? Get to it quickly, I don't want to help you again!" Mora replied.

"I already made plans with Layla. I promised to help her at the café, her co-worker just got admitted to the hospital," Devya explained.

"Devya, but you also have to think about yourself. You need to manage your time wisely, time for yourself and time to help friends."

Before she could finish speaking, Mora's call was abruptly ended by Devya, which left Mora annoyed.

"Oh my goodness, she never changes. Putting her friends' needs before her own, she doesn't realize that there's no one truly selfless in this world. Oh, that girl."

Mora sighed in frustration, shaking her head. She then retrieved a sketchbook from her closet and diligently worked on her assignment.

"I need to finish this before it gets too late," she thought.

Meanwhile, Devya had just arrived at her friend Layla's café.

"Oh, thank goodness you're here on time. I was getting worried you wouldn't come to help, Devya. Thank you so much. Now, let's get you changed into your employee uniform," Layla said.

"But, is it okay?" Devya asked.

"Don't worry about a thing. Come on, we need to hurry."

Devya changed in the dressing room, putting on her employee uniform.

"You look lovely. Now, let's go meet the customers and provide them with the best service," Layla requested.

Devya assisted Layla diligently, completing her tasks with great care and leaving customers happy with her friendly demeanor.

"You're a very friendly and kind young lady. Thank you for your service," a customer complimented.

Devya smiled with delight and then headed back to the kitchen to continue her work.

"Is every day like this for you?" Devya asked, massaging her sore shoulders.

Layla chuckled, nodded, and joined in massaging her friend's shoulders. "Cheer up!! You're still new, so it's normal to feel this way. Later, I'll treat you to some gimbap or ice cream, your choice."

"No need. After work, I'll head straight home."

"Alright, thank you so much for helping me, Devya. Now, let's get back to work. Stay motivated!"

After finishing work, Devya quickly changed her clothes and decided to head home.

"I have to go now," she said.

"Are you sure? Don't you want to eat something or ask me to do something for you?" Layla tried to persuade her.

"No, I just want to go home. Goodbye," Devya said.

She started her car, intending to drive back home, but then disaster struck. Suddenly, her car broke down in the middle of the road.

"Oh my God! What's happening now? Why did my car stop suddenly? What am I going to do?" Devya panicked.

Devya looked extremely anxious and panicked. "Mom, Dad, please help me. Don't let my car break down like this before I can make it home. Please..."

Not only was her car broken down, but heavy rain also prevented her from leaving the vehicle.

"My life is so unfortunate, not only is my car broken down, but it's also raining. What should I do now?"

In the midst of the panic that engulfed her due to the mishap that had befallen her, she suddenly heard a tapping on her car's window, which startled her and made her turn to look at her car's window. She saw a man on a big motorcycle with a helmet and mask knocking on her car window.

"What's going on?" Devya asked.

The man signaled for her to get out of the car, and Devya rolled down her car window to talk to him.
