Chapter 4 4

"Let it go, don't react to them. You're already an adult and can handle these situations well. If it's not important, don't dwell on it and don't respond. Come on, let's have lunch before class starts."

Devya nodded, still visibly upset with the girls who had insulted her.

"Don't react, just eat," Mora said, as she continued to enjoy her meal.

After returning from campus, the girl was still very upset about what had happened at school.

"Devya, watch out in front of you!" her mother shouted, trying to prevent her daughter from knocking over a flower vase.

Devya didn't hear her, and she continued walking straight ahead, accidentally bumping into the flower vase in front of her house, causing it to fall and shatter.

"Devya..." her mother sighed in exasperation.

The girl just chuckled and walked past the fallen vase.

"Sorry, Mom."

"Maid Inah!! Maid Inah!" her mother called out to their household helper.

Maid Inah quickly approached her employer, who pointed to the vase, now in pieces on the floor.

"Oh my, again, ma'am?" Maid Inah asked, looking very saddened.

"That's how that child is, sometimes I need to teach her a lesson," her employer said, sighing and massaging her temples.

Her employer took out her phone from her pocket, dialing a number while rubbing her throbbing head.

"BDUMP!!" A loud crash from inside Devya's room startled her mother, and her aunt rushed into the girl's room.

"What's happening, miss?" Maid Inah asked.

Devya was rolling on the floor, clutching her leg in pain, crying as her leg was bruised.

"I hit the wardrobe, my leg hurts so much."

The girl cried, holding her leg. The two adults in the room quickly helped her up and onto the bed with her leg straightened out.

"Devya, straighten your leg for a moment, dear. I'm calling the doctor for you," her mother requested, panicking as she held her phone.

Devya grunted in frustration and slammed her desk, startling Maid Inah.

"All of this is because of that Edgar!! The scoundrel who makes me lose my temper in the morning," Devya complained.

"So, Miss Devya just got dumped by her boyfriend, right?"

Devya slammed her desk again, giving Maid Inah a sardonic look.

"He's not my boyfriend!! It's disgusting to date a guy like that. Besides, I don't even know him," Devya said, huffing in annoyance.

Maid Inah furrowed her brow, puzzled by her employer's child who had been angry all morning.

"You don't know him, but why did you go berserk, charging at everything in front of you like a bull about to be slaughtered?" her mother asked in confusion.

"I did not intentionally hit everything, Mom. Besides, those things were blocking my way," Devya said, clearly annoyed.

"Enough, don't blame the objects. You're an adult, you should be able to use your common sense, not act like a child, Devya!"

The girl remained silent, playing with her phone. She saw a message from her friend Layla.

"I'll wait for you at the café tonight, don't be late."

Devya immediately got up from her bed, causing the two adults to panic.

"Uh, Devya! What are you doing? Your bruise is still bad, you shouldn't go out!" her mother exclaimed.

"I have a meeting, Mom. I'll be back later. Goodbye," Devya said with a smile as she walked out of her room.

"Hey, but what about your bruise, Devya!"

"It's just a bump on the table, Mom, nothing serious. Bye now."
