Chapter 5 Wedding Night

Even Kaylee had to admit that Elijah's figure was exceptional. His muscles were well-defined and there wasn't a trace of extra fat on his lean body.

Kaylee was a few meters away from him yet she could still keenly sense the pheromones emanating from him.

She couldn't help but sigh at the fact that her new husband was devastatingly handsome and irresistibly sexy.

When Elijah saw that there was a woman lying on his bed, he was so shocked that he subconsciously wanted to cover his half-naked body.

But when he thought about his public image as a playboy, he could only hold back his instinctive reaction and force a frivolous smile. "Have you seen enough? How about I go to bed and let you get a closer, better look?"

Upon seeing that the attractive man was getting closer and closer to her, Kaylee's mind went blank. It took all her willpower to pretend to be calm, saying, "Sorry, I didn't know this was your room."

As she spoke, she hurriedly climbed out of the bed.

But Elijah stopped her before she could make a run for it. With a charming smile, he teased her, "It's not that easy to just leave my room."

Strangely enough, although Elijah was clearly provoking her, Kaylee didn't feel disgusted with the way he looked at her.

Elijah couldn't help but think of the birthmark that he caught a glimpse of earlier.

He deliberately took two steps closer to Kaylee, his tall and strong body looming over the petite woman in front of him.

As soon as she smelled the fresh scent of his pine-flavored body wash, Kaylee felt that the distance between them was too close for comfort. Without hesitation, she took two steps back.

But Elijah kept approaching her, and she kept retreating, until her back was against the wall. Elijah looked down at her, eyebrows raised.

Kaylee had nowhere to run. She had no choice but to glare up at him, demanding, "What on earth do you want?"

Elijah's hot breath sprayed on her face. He said in a low, hoarse voice, "Isn't today our wedding night?"

Kaylee's eyes went as wide as saucers. "You... Are you saying you want to sleep with me?"

Elijah was supposed to be a playboy who surrounded himself with countless beautiful women. How could he want to sleep with someone as ugly as her? Kaylee couldn't help but touch the fake scar on her face to make sure they were still there.

Even she couldn't even bear to see her own "ugly" face.

Elijah neither confirmed nor denied her question.

Seeing that he was getting closer, Kaylee pressed her palms against the man's broad chest and pushed him away. She was shocked by the man's lust. She spat, "It seems that you're not a picky man at all."

Elijah looked her up and down slowly and smiled meaningfully. "You have a nice body. I can ignore the scar if we turn off the lights."

Then, without warning, he lifted her up and threw her on the bed.

Then, he climbed on top of her and reached out to lift her clothes. He was determined to check the birthmark on her back.

Kaylee didn't want to conceal her true feelings anymore. It was true that she had agreed to marry into the Stephens family as Gemma's substitute, but she didn't want to give her virginity to a man she had only met today.

But unexpectedly, her struggle was futile. Elijah easily pinned her down.

Kaylee's expression darkened. She was surprised to find that the seemingly frivolous playboy was just as good a fighter as her.

It seemed that Elijah was not as incompetent as people said!
