Chapter 9 The hot sexy boss

. "I've received a complaint from a colleague that you've been slacking off at work and not completing your tasks," he said, his eyes fixed on hers.

Sarah felt a flush creep up her neck. "I haven't been slacking off," she protested. "I've been working hard, just like everyone else."

"I'm not saying you haven't been working hard," Hayden said, his voice softening a little. "But the complaint specifically mentioned that you've been spending a lot of time reading love letters instead of doing your work."

Sarah felt her cheeks start to burn. "That's not true," she said, defensively. "I have been reading during my breaks, but I always make sure my work is done."

Hayden leaned forward, his eyes suddenly intense. "Sarah, I need you to focus on your work. We have a lot of important projects coming up, and I can't have any distractions."

Sarah nodded, but her gaze had shifted to Hayden's body.

She couldn't help but admire the way he looked, even as he was scolding her.

"I understand," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Hayden stood up and walked around the desk, standing just inches away from Sarah. She could feel his breath on her neck, and she shivered involuntarily. "Sarah, I need you to listen to me," he said, his voice low and intense. "This is important."

Sarah wanted to listen, but she couldn't help but be distracted by the way Hayden looked. He was so sexy, with his dark hair and piercing eyes. She wanted to reach out and touch him, to feel his hard muscles under her fingers.

Without even realizing what she was doing, Sarah reached out and touched Hayden's arm. He flinched, clearly surprised by her sudden movement. "I-I'm sorry," she stammered. "I didn't mean to-"

Hayden interrupted her, his voice suddenly husky. "Sarah, what are you doing?"

Sarah could feel her heart pounding in her chest. She wanted him so badly, but she knew it was wrong. Hayden was her boss, and he was already irritated with her for not doing her work. She needed to get a grip and focus on what was important.

"I'm sorry," she said, pulling her hand back. "I-I don't know what came over me."

Hayden took a deep breath and composed himself. "Look, Sarah," he said, his voice back to its usual professional tone. "I appreciate your passion, but you need to focus on your work. We have a lot to do, and I need everyone to be at their best."

Sarah nodded, feeling embarrassed and ashamed. She had let her attraction to Hayden get in the way of her job, and that was unacceptable. She needed to focus and do better in the future.

"Okay, and I apologize", she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I'll do better."

However, her apology fell on deaf ears as Hayden coldly told her to go back to work and gave her a stern warning. Sarah hardly paid attention to his words she was too captivated by his piercing gaze, his full lips and the way his hair fell casually over his forehead. She couldn't help but look at him with a mix of longing and desire.

Hayden must have noticed the way Sarah was looking at him because he suddenly got up from his desk, his eyes narrowing in anger. "Get out of my office, Sarah!" he barked, his voice filled with anger.

Sarah's cheeks flushed with shame and she quickly turned to leave his office. But as she walked away, Sarah couldn't help but think of Hayden and how badly she wanted him. She knew she shouldn't lust after her cold, controlling boss, but she just couldn't help herself.She knew she needed to do better, but she couldn't ignore the way Hayden made her feel. She needed to find a way to balance her attraction with her work, or risk losing everything.

Sarah made her way to the rooming house excited to finally took off her heels. As she made her way to the kitchen, she noticed Emma - Max's girlfriend - cooking up a storm. Emma was an amazing cook, with a talent for cooking up a storm in the kitchen, and Sarah couldn't wait to try whatever Emma was cooking.

As Sarah entered the kitchen, she could smell the aroma of delicious spices and herbs coming from the pots on the stove. Emma, noticing Sarah, greeted her with a big smile and asked if she could help.

"Sarah, I'm so happy to see you! Do you want to help me cook? I'm making my famous spicy chicken stew," Emma said with a grin.

"Absolutely!" Sarah replied, excited to help and also eager to tell Emma all about what had happened earlier that day.

"I had the weirdest thing happen to me today," Sarah said as she grabbed a chopping board and started cutting up vegetables for Emma.

"What happened?" Emma asked, curious.

"Well, I accidentally touched my boss's hand when he called me into his office. It was so embarrassing, but also kind of...hot," Sarah said with a smirk.

Emma let out a laugh. "Oh my god, you have got to be kidding me. And let me guess, you're now obsessing over it?"

"Ugh, yes," Sarah replied, "and to make matters worse, my secret admirer hasn't texted me in days. He's not answering my messages."

"Wait, I thought you said he wasn't deceiving you, he was serious about you!" Emma exclaimed.

"I did, but now there's a new one. He sent me a love letter too at work and bought me a box of donuts," Sarah explained with a grin.

Emma let out a laugh. " You and love letters! She laugh .Well, at least that's something. Maybe your mysterious rich guy is busy or something. And as for your boss, I say go for it. Get your flirt on!"

Sarah let out a giggle. "I wish it was that easy. How do you even flirt with your boss?"

"Step one, dress to impress. Step two, make eye contact. Step three, don't be afraid to give a few compliments," Emma said with a wink.

As Sarah and Emma laughed and chatted away, Max and Jason walked into the kitchen. The girls quickly stopped talking, but it was too late - Max and Jason had overheard everything.

"What's so funny, ladies?" Max asked, a grin on his face.

"Oh, just girl talk," Emma replied, trying to play it cool.

Sarah nodded, still giggling. "Just catching up and talking about work," she added.

Max raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced, but decided to let it go. "Well, the stew smells amazing. Who's hungry?"

As they sat down to enjoy the stew, Sarah couldn't help but feel grateful for her housemates. She had alway seen Jason as her only trusted friend, not realizing she had found another two friends she could really connect with. And even if her secret admirer was playing hard to get, she knew she had Emma to give her all the best tips on how to seduce her boss - or at least give it a good try.
