Chapter 2 2

For a moment Lydia thought she was hallucinating. She didn't moved from the spot, since her fooster dad made the sentence.

"Have you lost your ears?" Dylan asked, realizing she didn't moved away from the spot. After a few minutes, Dylan attempted to forcefully push Lydia out of the living room, when the door bell began to ring. Lydia perceived a great smell and for a moment, her wolf Nina erupted into joy and Lydia couldn't tell the reason.

Kelly went to get the door and in came Elvis; the young Alpha of the pack. The moment Elvis laid eyes on Lydia, Nina began to tell one single word that would prove rather much of a shock to Lydia; 'mate'

Apparently Elvis had been a good friend to Lydia. Everything changed when they both began to grow up and several stories about Lydia from her parents changed his narrative about her.

"Good to see you here Alpha." Lydia stared at Elvis as he reciprocated. Both Dylan and Amara, alongside Kelly couldn't fathom the situation.

"How can you be my mate?" Elvis asked in disbelief. His hatred for Lydia had increased over the years that he barely didn't want to see her.

Lydia on the other hand, felt hurt by his statement. She could easily ascertain the mate pull has began to take it's due course on her.

"What are you talking about Alpha?" Dylan asked, looking from Lydia to Elvis.

"The moon goddess has chosen her to be my mate." Everyone in the room became silent. Lydia could feel the hatred and raw envy emanating from the eyes of Kelly and even Amara her fooster mother, who had high hopes for their daughter being of royalty some day.

"You don't deserve to be my mate. With what you have done to your parents, your acts would only diminish my reputation as Alpha. Which is why, I Alpha Elvis reject you as my mate." The words Lydia had been expecting struck her like a knife to the chest. While she watched Elvis walk away, Nina became completely sober as herself.

Lydia couldn't hold it anymore, she ran out of the living room and went to her room, curled herself up in her bed and began to tear up. Slowly, she was recounting how misrable her life had become and above everything, how she desired to die a slow painful death.

She heard the door creak open and when Lydia looked at the direction, she gasped seeing the sight of a rather much familiar face; Gavin.

Apparently, Gavin was the right hand member of Elvis and it was rather strange to see him in her room. "I have waited for the time, where I would be able to explore your amazing body." His assertion only fueled irritation to Lydia as she realized he was the man that had paid for her to be slept with.

Gavin walked towards the bed, while Lydia moved further to the wall. He slowly unbuckled his belt. Lydia became alarmed as she realized slowly what was about to happen. It almost looked there was no means for her to run out.

Gavin dashed into the bed and right before she could grab hold of her hands, Lydia kicked him in the nuts, neutralizing him temporary and dashing out of the room. Lydia was aware that her parents would be overly pissed with her act. She couldn't stay in the house any longer, thus she used the exit door as a means of escape.

Lydia ran as fast as her leg could take her, sucking in her breath in the process. There was no way she could stay for another time with her fooster parents, which she considered a depiction of evil.

After running for almost an hour, Lydia arrived at the water fall. Standing on the edge, several thoughts ran through her mind. Lydia believed there was no point of living, considering she had been rejected by her mate. She couldn't go back to the hardship her fooster parents made her faced. Lydia believed the only means of escaping the pain she was facing, was to drawn herself in the water fall.

As she took one step, Nina attempted to caution her over her action, but it proved futile as her mind was already made up. In one heartbeat, she jumped into the water fall with her eyes closed in the process.

Meanwhile, Gavin stepped into the living room with Dylan and Amara having a little conversation. He was hoping they would have caught up with her and was rather shocked to find out Lydia was not there.

"How did it go?" Dylan asked with a smirk.

"Didn't she stepped out through the living room?" Dyalna and Amara stared at themselves for a moment, wondering what he was talking about. "I couldn't complete the task. She kneed me and took to her heels." The parents both got up to their feet and walked past Gavin.

. Dyaln rushed to the exit door and found the door completely opened. He came to the realization that Lydia had ran away.

"Quick, we need to find her." Dylan suggested directly to Gavin. While outside their apartment, they both changed to their wolf, making it easier to trace her scent. Dylan was able to catch up with her scent and they followed the path of the forest till they arrived at the water fall.

"She must have jumped over." Gavin indicated.

"That bitch!" Dylan was completely pissed. He had high hopes of marketing her body to several pack members who would wish to satisfy their urges. They returned back to the apartment, where Amara and Kelly were waiting.

"Lydia is gone. She drowned herself by the river." While it was rather much of a good news to the family especially Kelly, they knew they needed to come up with a reasonable explanation.

"I have an idea." Amara indicated. "Since Elvis is her mate, we would send Kelly to inform him about the death of Lydia and afterwards find a means to attract Kelly to him." It was a brilliant plan, one that Kelly hoped could work out effectively.
