Chapter 6 You Want To Sleep With Me

Strangely enough, although there was a frivolous look in Elijah's eyes, the way he looked at Kaylee didn't disgust her.

Truth be told, Elijah was still thinking about his bride's birthmark.

He deliberately took two steps closer to her, his tall figure enveloping her completely.

Kaylee could smell the faint scent of pine from him. She felt that he was standing way too close to her, so she instinctively took two steps back.

With eyebrows raised, Elijah kept stepping forward until she was backed into a corner.

Her back was now pressed against the wall, so Kaylee could only raise her head and glare at him. "What on earth do you want?"

His warm breath blew against her red face. In a low, hoarse voice, he whispered, "Isn't tonight our wedding night?"

Kaylee's eyes went as wide as saucers. "You want to sleep with me?!"

As a playboy who had seen countless beautiful women, Elijah could pick whoever he wanted to sleep with. How come he wanted to sleep with an ugly woman like her?

Even Kaylee couldn't bear to look herself in the mirror whenever she had the fake scar on.

Elijah said nothing.

Seeing that he was just one step away from her, Kaylee tried to push him away. "Your sister said it herself. I'm disgustingly ugly. You really want a woman like me?"

He looked her up and down slowly. Then he cracked a meaningful smile. "You're pretty hot from the neck down. I can just turn off the lights while I fuck you."

Then without warning, he scooped her into his arms and threw her on the bed.

Then, he climbed on top of her and reached out to lift her clothes. He just wanted to get a closer look at the birthmark on her back.

Although Kaylee had agreed to take Gemma's place as Elijah's bride, she didn't want her virginity to be taken by a man she had only met once. So she dropped her weak facade and took action.

But as soon as she raised her leg to kick the man, Elijah grabbed it and easily subdued her.

Kaylee was surprised. This seemingly frivolous man actually had great reflexes.

It seemed that he wasn't as incompetent as people claimed.

Just as he was about to rip off her clothes, there was a light knock at the door.

A servant's voice sounded from outside. "Mr. Stephens, your father wants to see you in his study."

Impatience and annoyance flashed through Elijah's eyes, but he had no choice but to set aside the matter of checking the birthmark for now. He reluctantly let go of Kaylee, got dressed, and went to the study.

Ezra Stephens-Elijah's father, wasn't the only person there in the study. Haisley was standing next to him.

As soon as Elijah entered the study, he went straight to the sofa and lay down.

Ezra was furious to see him act like this. He scolded, "Sit up! Why do you always act like this?"

Not only Elijah refused to sit up, but he even closed his eyes lazily. "I've always been like this, haven't I?"

"Elijah! Don't talk to Dad like that!" Haisley hurriedly snapped at her younger brother.

Ignoring her, Elijah asked impatiently, "Why'd you ask me to come here?"

Ezra didn't know how to discipline Elijah. He had scolded and beat Elijah countless times, yet his son refused to learn his lesson.

He had no choice but to drop the matter and go straight to the point. "Both of you should contact your friends and see if anyone knows Tide. Mr. Reynolds is seriously ill now. If we can pave the way for his cure, cooperation between our two families will go more smoothly."

Despite the seriousness in Ezra's voice, Elijah yawned and stood up to leave. "Are you done yet? I'm going to bed."

Ezra was so angry that he picked up the ashtray on the table and threw it at Elijah. "Stop right there! How did I end up with such a useless son like you?!"

Elijah dodged the projectile without flinching. Turning a deaf ear to Ezra's anger, he said indifferently, "Didn't you say that all my friends are nasty people? How could they be of any help to you? You'd better just ask someone else for help."

Then he left. Ezra shouted at his back angrily.

It seemed that Elijah was determined to maintain his image as a hopeless playboy. On his wedding night, he went straight to a bar.
