The large wolf man staggered backwards as its arm bled profusely. It used its left hand to pick up the severed limb, and reattached it quickly. "You again?" Emma said as she saw the guy carrying her. As the monster roared loudly, she quickly jumped off Daniel's arms and hid behind him.
"What do you plan on doing to that... thing?" Emma asked, shivering behind Daniel's back. Daniel stared at the monster's crimson red eyes and replied, "That thing you see right there is a Demon from the depths of hell, it's here specifically for you..."
"Why me? what did I ever do wrong?" Emma asked. Daniel heard the question, and let out a sigh, "It's not what you did wrong, it's what I did," he said softly.
"What did you say?" Emma asked him as she didn't hear him clearly. "Nothing..." Daniel replied, then continued, "Right now the only way to kill it is to slice off its head, once the brain is detached, it loses its ability to regenerate or heal."
"And how exactly do you intend to do that?" Emma asked, staring at the monster as it growled at them. "I'll do it how I've always done it..." Daniel replied, then pulled out his sword.
His silver eyes gave off a fiery glow and both the arm he used to hold it and his blade were instantly enveloped by magical golden flames.
"Did he just catch fire out of nowhere?" Emma questioned as she watched Daniel approach the monster. "I didn't notice it before, but... Is he wearing armour?" Emma asked again, as Daniel's glorious image displayed in her eyes.
Daniel was clad on a silver dark grey armour and a black cape. His armour had spikes around the shoulder and chest area, and it looked really heavy.
Daniel launched himself toward the monster and it did the same. As they approached each other, Daniel leaned forward to avoid the monster's claws, and swung his sword at its left leg, slicing it clean off.
The monster fell to the ground, bleeding endlessly. Daniel stood up straight and turned around, placing his blade on his shoulder, "Maybe I've gotten too used to this, it's kinda boring now..."
"You mean you've done this many times before?" Emma asked with her eyes wide open. Daniel turned to her, then asked his own question, "What came to your mind when I took a bullet to my heart and survived?"
"That you... Probably aren't human?" Emma replied, sounding unsure of what she was saying. "Very good, now you're catching up. See I've gone through this process again and again for years and I've gotta be honest with you, this story never ends well..."
Daniel kicked the severed leg back at the monster as Emma asked, "What do you mean by that?"
As the monster reattached it's leg, Daniel answered, "Don't worry about it, it's really no big deal..." The monster launched itself at Daniel again, and with speed like the wind, Daniel sliced through its chest, turned around and swung the sword at its head, slicing it off completely.
The Demon fell to the ground, and both its body and all the blood it had spilled, turned into black dust and faded into the atmosphere.
Daniel turned to Emma, and said with a Stern look, "Listen very carefully, more of these things are going to come after you because by all means, they want you dead..."
"But... You'll be there to fight them off right?" Emma asked, Daniel let out a sigh, "Maybe I will, Maybe I won't. It all depends on how my fate and yours play out..."
As Daniel turned around to take his leave, "Your house is just around the corner, better hurry, these things are never alone..." He said. "But why are they after me? I don't even know what the hell is going on here..." Emma yelled.
Daniel turned back to her, then replied with a soft voice, "Don't worry, with time everything that confuses you now shall be clear as day. For now you should just try to be safe..."
After Daniel said that, he vanished into the darkness of the night, and Emma stood there, completely overwhelmed.

Emma's eyes swung open as the sun rays from her window hit her face. She was very tired, but the memories of the events of the night before seemed a little hazy in her head.
"Was all that just a dream?" She asked herself as she sat up on her bed. Every other detail of what happened the night before had faded away, but for some reason, the image of the suit of armour Daniel wore remained in her head.
Emma got out of bed, and headed to her bathroom, she brushed her teeth and washed her face, then moved to the shower.
During the long warm shower, Emma got an idea. "BINGO!!" She exclaimed, then suddenly slipped, landing on the ground with a loud thud. "Oww... Bathroom accident," she said then quickly reached for her towel. Emma hurriedly left the bathroom, and rushed to put on some clothes.
She wore blue baggy jean trousers, and a large white T-shirt. She combed her beautiful silky hair, then tossed the brush in the drawer, Emma never liked makeup, she would just apply lip gloss to prevent her lips from getting chapped then leave the rest to natural beauty.
Emma hurried out of her house to an art studio that was about 8 blocks from her. She got a seat that was specially reserved, and all the equipment she needed to do her work were there waiting. Emma picked up the pencil, thought for a moment, then began.
The art studio was an open place anybody could come draw, It had different boards of different shapes and sizes in different areas, it was a sanctuary for all artists in the city.
After a few hours creating a new dress design, Emma was finally done. Emma pushed out a breath of relief, then said, "Thank goodness this came out good..."
As she said that, two people walked into the studio. One of them was someone she never expected to see again in a very long time, and the other was an old enemy of hers.
Jaden walked into the art studio with a girl from Emma's high school days, Tasha. Tasha used to be a bully to Emma during high school, and was one of the reasons Emma became the kind of girl she was today (capable of attacking someone with a wine bottle.)
Jaden suddenly turned towards Emma's direction. It was an act of instinct because he and Emma used to come here a lot. Emma hid behind the large drawing board to avoid him seeing her, but a part of her hair was Exposed. "She's here," Jaden said, then turned away. "What do you mean she's here?" Tasha asked. Jaden pushed out a sigh, then replied, "Emma. Emma's here..."
"Then let's go say hi," Tasha said, then pulled Jaden's arm towards the area Emma was in.
"Hey Emma, Long time no see!" Tasha said, waving at Emma. Emma raised her head, then replied shyly, "Hi... Tasha and Jaden..."
"What have you got here? Wow, this is really beautiful, Emma." Tasha complimented as she saw her drawing. Emma kept on staring at Jaden, and Jaden tried his best to avoid her eyes. Tasha soon noticed it, then walked back to Jaden's side and crossed arms with him. "Guess what? I and Jaden are now a couple, we got together a few days ago..." Tasha said with a sinister smile, and Emma replied with a Stern look, "Yeah, I figured, congratulations."
"We're going to go over there now, and do some drawing together if you don't mind," Tasha said, pointing to an area in the large studio. "No, not at all, be my guest. It's not like I own the place or anything," Emma said, resting her chin on the back of her left palm.
Jaden turned away from Emma after hearing her say this. He and Emma actually had plans of buying the place and they had already started saving up for it.
Emma stared at them as they walked off to the other side of the art studio, and as she did, a teardrop rolled down her cheek from her left eye. She placed her head on the desk in front of her, and cried her eyes out silently.
