Chapter 7 The Younger Generation from the Rich Is Difficult to Discipline

Although Sophie Nelson's expression was calm, she felt a little annoyed inside. Charlie Flores's unexpected appearance upset her mind.

Sophie wondered, "Why is he here? Will I meet him again? I must avoid this situation..."

"Next week, the crew of The Melodious Youth will officially enter our campus. They will take pictures here. I have discussed with the director team and agreed that the shooting would not affect the daily order of our teaching and learning. That will require the help of all our teachers. The director of administration arranged the work orderly, and the rest of the teachers looked excited. At this moment, however, Sophie secretively clenched her hands, which were resting upon her knees, her knuckles turning pale.

She then lowered her head to conceal the gruesome smile upon her lips.

Jade Brown and Jeremy Clark were the reason why she had joined Flowery City College.

"That's it. Please hold a class meeting later and tell the students about what's going on and ask them to behave well. We must make sure nothing unwanted will happened." The director said.

The teachers walked out of the conference room one after another, and Sophie followed up. The director looked at her and smiled, "Miss Thompson, you've just joined us. One thing I want to remind you is that you must get on well with your students, who are from rich families and are not easy to handle."

The director's tone of voice sounded sort of sarcastic.

"I see." Sophie nodded and walked away.

Following her superior's advice, Sophie then held a class meeting to get familiar with the students.

"One student is not here?" Sophie found that there were only 29 people in the classroom, while the number was supposed to be 30 in line with the name list.

"Miss Thompson. Josh Miller said he had a stomachache, so he went to the hospital."

"In that case, we will begin without him." Sophie nimbly caught that the girl was trying to hide something from her, but she was not in the mood to look into that.

The class meeting was incredibly dull for the students. The only point that could arouse their interests was that the vulgar appearance of the new guidance counselor was totally out of tune with Flowery City College, which made them want to make fun of her.

After the presentation, Sophie planned to leave, carrying a pile of documents, but some of the students stopped her.

"Miss Thompson, I'm Laure Scott, the monitor of our class." Before Sophie's eyes, there was an elegant-looking young lady whose voice was soft and gentle. "We students have discussed and decided to throw a welcome party for you."

Looking at the girl and the others next to her, Sophie let out a light smile. "It's very kind of you guys, but that's not necessary."

"It's rare for our class to hold a party. Could Miss Thompson not throw a wet blanket over it?" Laura asked with a disdainful look in her eyes.

In Laura's view, the new guidance counselor who was standing before her was totally a joke. How could this ugly woman even take seriously of herself?

"Okay then, if it's going to be a party for the entire class, make sure to inform every student."

"I will inform everyone right now." Laura and the other students left with an expectant look.

Sophie smiled. The kids from wealthy families were indeed not easy to handle.

Golden Pavilion was a famous entertainment club in Quinn City.

It was not a surprise to Sophie that her students who were all young ladies and masters of rich families had chosen this place to throw the party.

Sophie walked into the magnificent hall, and her stodgy dress made her seem out of place with the surroundings. The waiters around could not help but cast a puzzled look at her.

Laura, the initiator of the so-called party to welcome Sophie as their new counselor, was whispering with several classmates at the moment. It seemed that the students did not mean it, but none of them was walking beside Sophie, clearly intending to isolate her.

Therefore, the existence of Sophie and her humble appearance were intensified.

"I bet that bumpkin has never been to such a place before!"

"Ha-ha, just look at that timid expression on her face. Will she be scared out of wits? I am looking forward to what's going to happen."

Throughout the process, there was no fluctuation in the look in Sophie's eyes at all.

As for that note from Charlie Flores, she had thrown it into a shredder.
