Chapter 5 Meeting Charlie Flores Again

The woman's outfit was tacky, and she was wearing sixpenny glasses. Her skin was dark and yellow, and her thin body looked malnourished. The woman's appearance simply made Charlie Flores feeling quite uncomfortable.

Sophie lifted her hand to straighten the frame of her glasses and heaved a sigh of relief.

She did startle when the large dog pounced on her, but she immediately realized that it meant her no harm but merely wanted to show its favor of her.

However, she was not a dog person.

Fortunately, the Ethology she had taken on a whim while studying abroad had come in handy. Otherwise, she would not have known what to do with the dog.

Who on earth could have brought a dangerous Caucasian Shepherd dog into the principal's office?

Sophie immediately raised her head when she felt someone cast a sizing glance at her.

The moment she looked into the man's eyes, her heart was immediately taken over by shock and amazement.

She quickly regained her composure in a second.

"It is him!"

"Charlie Flores!"

Despite complicated emotions surging up in her heart, Sophie somehow managed to put on a calm face, trying not to be recognized by the man. Fortunately, she was now in the disguise of another woman.

Therefore, Sophie's heart resumed its normal rhythm.

On the other hand, Charlie narrowed his eyes. When the woman looked into his eyes, he had the sensation of deja vu.

It was a pity that Sophie quickly averted her gaze.

"You..."

The man's mellow and magnetic voice shivered the woman's heart.

Although she tried her best to remain calm, and she was confident that the man could not see through her disguise, she still tensed up as it was Charlie Flores she was facing, a man powerful enough to shake the entire Eastern Mainland.

"Sir, is this your dog? Pets are not allowed to enter the campus." She stated in a professional and solemn tone.

With that, Sophie passed by Charlie and came to the front of the other man in the room. "Principal, why did you want to see me, please?"

Being ignored, Charlie was startled and annoyed.

He moved his long legs to walk over to the front of Sophie and said in a cold voice, "It was not him but me who wanted to see you."

Sophie was stunned for a second.

The principal, who had not yet recovered from what had happened earlier, suddenly felt a gloomy gaze fall upon him.

He lifted his head and looked into Mr. Flores's eyes.

"Excuse me. I will be waiting outside." The principal shot an encouraging glance at Sophie. "Miss Thompson, have a good chat with this gentleman, please."

Charlie lowered his eyes to look at the dog wagging its tail at the woman and frowned slightly, "Kim, get out."

The big dog was reluctant.

The look in its eyes was saying that it wanted to stay in the room.

Charlie then lifted his foot to kick Kim's ass lightly, "Get out!"

Kim had to walk out, unwillingly.

The principal closed the office door from the outside.

Therefore, there were only Sophie and Charlie left in the room, of which the atmosphere became kind of weird.

Sophie took a breath, lifted her head and asked gravely, "Sir, what can I do for you?"

In her heart, she was amazed at the man's power. Even the principal of Flowery City College had to follow his instructions.

Staring at the face before his eyes, Charlie felt it was ordinary and somewhat ugly. At usual times, he would not have looked at it for a second time.

However, that face was somehow familiar to him.

"Have we met each other before?"

"I don't think so," Sophie answered calmly, "May I have your name, sir? Are you a parent of a student here?"

She must never have anything to do with Charlie again.

She had spent the last three years hiding out of the country to stay out of his sight.

Even they had once slept with each other, and the man also expressed his intention to keep the woman a mistress, three years should have been enough to let him forget about her. Sophie had come back fully prepared to clear her name and make the people who had hurt her suffer the consequences.

She had not expected to meet him again before she could take any action. How dramatic!
