Chapter 10 Business Talk

Joaquin shivered, "Didn't we see each other yesterday? Don't be so enthusiastic. I'm scared."

Violet laughed and scolded, "Fuck off."

"Oh, that's the Violet I know."

Violet rolled her eyes and pulled out what she had prepared.

Joaquin reached out to take it and burst into laughter when he saw what was inside.

"Violet, what do you mean? Why did you give me a bowl?"

After a moment, he realized something wrong. His brow furrowed, "You suspect someone has poisoned you?"

"It's Julian's bowl, and I have things to do. So... can you do me a favor?"

"You..." Joaquin looked at her in confusion.

Violet smiled, "I've broken up with Liam, the scum you keep telling me. I want to do something for Julian."

"How are your eyes not blind overnight? Yesterday you even hit me because I told you Liam wasn't a good match," exclaimed Joaquin.

"You say one more word, and I'll beat you again." Violet swung her fist.

Joaquin put his fingers across his mouth in a zipper-up gesture.

"Bye." Violet waved at him and drove to the west entrance, located in the most isolated school.

There was a pharmacy not far out of the west gate.

The shop was not big and had a casual name, A Pharmacy.

Violet smiled, pushed the door open, and walked in.

A woman of about twenty-three, clad in a white coat, was standing behind the counter.

When she heard someone come in, she greeted airily, "Welcome, what can I do for you?"

"Audrey," Violet called out.

Audrey Foster had taken over the pharmacy two years ago.

Once upon a time, Violet went shopping for medicines for the laboratory. Out of the west entrance, the first thing that came into her sight was the name of the pharmacy, which aroused her interest.

When she walked in, she found that the boss was to her liking, both in looks and personality. She frequented the shop and became familiar with Audrey afterward.

In her previous life, she had learned that Audrey was her senior when she was apprenticed to a master at Country M.

Violet decided to visit her master and be apprenticed to him once more when things were over here.

"Violet." Audrey immediately looked up at the sound of her voice, a face of aggressive beauty.

"Why do you look more beautiful without makeup? Tell me the secret."

Violet rested her arm on the counter and rolled her eyes gracefully, "Give me some pen and ink. I need to get some medicine."

"At your service." Audrey obeyed kindly.

Violet quickly wrote three prescriptions and handed them to her, asking rather smugly, "How's that?"

"Wonderful. You're like a peerless medical genius in the world."

"That's an exaggeration. I have a business to discuss with you. Are you interested?" Violet giggled.

"Shoot." Audrey turned off her phone and looked at her with a smile.

Violet pointed to the prescriptions for skincare and detoxification, "I've got plenty of those, including the cure of spots and acne. Why don't I work here as a medical practitioner?"

"Sure, I'll supply the medication. How about splitting the profit into 40/60?" Audrey agreed quickly.

"50/50. I can only put up an investment of 50,000 yuan at the moment. We'll run it together, but this is just the beginning. If we have enough money later, I want to set up a cosmetic brand. I've got a name for it, Violet & Audrey."

Audrey rubbed Violet's head, "How provident you are. Thank you for choosing me."

"Well, don't touch the top of my head like that. I won't grow taller."

Violet took her hand away and chuckled, "The biggest reason is that I don't know any other drugstore owners."

Audrey jokingly ruffled her hair again, "Naughty. Let's talk about the details of the partnership."

Violet helplessly tidied up her wild hair, "Get my medicine first and talk while we make it."
