Chapter 7 Pregnant

They would wait for the results before going back.

Nora woke up slowly, checked the time on her phone, and found that it was already noon.

She quickly got out of bed, put on her clothes, washed up, and went down the stairs, only to find Andrew and her seven cousins sitting on the sofa solemnly.

"Good morning, Grandpa... and everyone..."

Nora greeted them. Usually, they would respond cheerfully. Today, however, they just glanced at her silently.

"Girl, don't stand there, come and sit over here."

Andrew loved her dearly and even feared that she would be exhausted from standing.

"Grandpa, what's wrong? Why are you so silent today?"

Unable to stand such an atmosphere, she asked curiously.

The six brothers involuntarily looked at Brook, urging him to explain.

"Nora, the examination results have come out." The heavy burden on his shoulder made Brook sigh, and then he said firmly.

"So soon! Brook, everyone looks pale today because of me?"

Nora paled at his speech, thinking that she was terminally ill. That was why everyone looked so gloomy.

"Yes."

Brook nodded. The gloomy atmosphere indeed arose from the results of her physical examination.

"Brook, tell me the truth, is it cancer?"

Nora no longer dared to look at their faces and simply closed her eyes to wait for the death sentence.

"Cancer? Says who?" Ryan jumped out to deny it.

"Your gloomy faces? Isn't it because of my incurable disease?"

Startled by Ryan's sudden remark, Nora opened her eyes and realized that she didn't have cancer.

"Of course not, you are pregnant, not sick." Ryan blurted out, which stopped her wild flights of fancy.

"Pregnant?"

This was more overwhelming and surprising than cancer.

"Yeah! Why are you more surprised than us?" Ryan raised his head and looked at her ashen face wonderingly.

"Nora, you have been pregnant for two months, and your vomiting yesterday is a normal pregnancy reaction."

Brook raised his eyes, detected her uneasiness, stood up, walked to Nora, and hugged her stiff body.

"Brook, I..." She stroked her nose awkwardly and lost her tongue.

"Girl, come here." Andrew detected her embarrassment and beckoned to her.

"Grandpa." She obediently got out of Brook's arms, walked to the old man, and sat down.

"Girl, tell me, who is the father of the child?"

Andrew smiled gently and asked in a casual tone.

"Grandpa, sorry, I... I don't know." She shook her head guiltily but really knew nothing about that man.
