Chapter 3 7.5 Yuan

Stung by her conscience, Nora sneaked back to the former room to fetch her handbag.

In her collet, she only found a bank card and 7.5 yuan. As payment, she left the man the loose change and a note before slipping away.

"What happened? Nora, why are you dressed like this?"

Nora was only wearing a shirt, and her neck was dotted with hickeys. Without doubt, something terrible happened.

"I was set up by my stepmother. She drugged me, arranged a stranger to rape me, and told the reporters to take pictures. She aimed to bring me into disrepute."

After a long time, she finally sat down and talked with Emery again. At the sight of the concern in Emery's eyes, she couldn't help but shed tears.

Emery felt sorry to see her best friend crying. In distress, she pulled out the tissue to wipe her tears and gave her a comforting hug.

"Sounds like a plan. I'll ride you to the airport right away. Many programs are holding me back, but I promise I'll visit you in M Country when everything is done."

Emery knew about her terrible situation back home, but it was not safe for Nora to stay in her apartment, either. There were too many paparazzi out there.

"Okay, I'll wait for you. Can I use your phone to give Zoe a call?"

Nora couldn't hasten to M Country like this. There was an item she needed.

"Huh, why?" With a question mark in her mind, Emery handed her phone to Nora.

"You'll know." Nora smiled mysteriously, got up, dialed Zoe's number, and muttered for a long time.

In White's house, Zoe was the only person she could trust.

The housekeeper, hired when Susan was alive, had always been loyal to Nora.

Two hours later, the door was knocked. In Emery's newly-bought high-collared clothes, Nora went to get the door.

"Miss, why do you ask me to bring the diamond necklace here?"

Zoe came in, relieved to see the young lady unscathed. Her eyes measured Nora, head to toe.
