Chapter 6 Transferred Property

Miley ran away without looking back.

Only after running down three floors to the exit did she stop and take a deep breath.

Her neck still ached, but her heart was hurt more deeply. As if slashed thousands of times, her heart was shattering and bleeding.

With arms folded over her chest, she leaned against a wall and lowered her head until a white sports car stopped in front of her.

"Mrs. Shawn, shall I give you a ride?"

It was that "money boy" again! She glanced at the expensive car and had resistance written in her eyes.

"No. I have a car." She hid away her sadness immediately and walked to the parking lot with a straight face.

To her surprise, the man also got out of his car and caught up with her. "My car has just broken down. Can you give me a ride?"

"..."

Miley turned around and glared at him. "Mr. Money Boy, I warn you, don't bother me! Or I'll let others know that you are a corrupt and venal man and that you had sex with a woman without her permission, which is called 'rape'!"

After staring at her for three seconds, the man began laughing wildly.

To be honest, Miley had never seen a man like him who looked so attractive even when he doubled up with laughter. In this aspect, he was indeed a top-level money boy.

Finally, the man stopped laughing and revealed a naughty smile on his handsome face. "Mrs. Shawn, I should be the one to sue you for the second point. And please remember my name – I'm Morris Lawrence."

"Morris..." Miley uttered his name and sneered, "Quite a good name, though its owner is a jackass."

He raised a brow and looked as if he didn't care about her ridicule. "Actually, you don't need to be so hostile to me. At least I think I can help you and have no intention to hurt you."

"Help me? Are you kidding me?" She felt that the man was crazy.

"Yes, I can help you." Morris nodded very seriously. "I can help you as a doctor, can't I? Well, I can also help you satisfy your physical needs!"

Miley was almost choked by her saliva.

It took her a long while to calm herself down.

"Morris Lawrence? Right? All right, Mr. Lawrence, thank you for being so kind-hearted. But I feel excellent now and don't need your help. As for my physical needs, I'm sorry that I don't have such impulses recently. So please stay away from me. I'm leaving now. Bye! Oh, no, farewell!"

After saying that, she got into her car, started the engine, and then gunned the vehicle out. People nowadays were so strange! That doctor not only took bribes but also drove Aston Martin so blatantly. She believed he would be punished one day! When passing the white sports car, she spat on it in retaliation.

Morris stared in the direction she left and showed a faint smile.

Miley didn't go to the company but Winnie's home which was easy for her to find. She knew Winnie kept her pregnancy a secret, so she went specially to tell Winnie's parents about this.

As for whether it was immoral, she felt that "morality" didn't exist in her dictionary anymore.

When she arrived at Winnie's home, she didn't waste time on courtesy. Directly, she told Winnie's parents about two things: First, their daughter was pregnant; second, she was now in People's Hospital.

Only after saying that did she return to the company. Sitting down on her seat, she asked the accountant over right away.

"Miss Smith, these are the company's accounts for the past sixth months." Miss Bell put a large account book on the desk in front of Miley.

Miley turned the pages carefully one after another. The accounts in the first few months were all satisfactorily clear. But when it came to those in the last two months, her face became dark with anger.

"What is this? Why don't I know how the sum was transferred? And this one! Why was it transferred to this company's account? I don't even know what company it is!"

I have the financial transfer documents with your signatures. Mr. Shawn gave them to me when you were out on business. He said that you had signed them at home and that I didn't need to communicate with you. So I..."

"So you transferred the sums out? Two million..."

Miley was driven crazy. The accounts showed that the company was now no more than an empty shell. Within these two months, the circulating capital had all been transferred to different accounts for different purposes, and she had never been told about these at all.

It was three days ago that she discovered the affair between Roy and Winnie. Before that, she had never suspected the man who shared the same bed with her. It was a great shock to her that this man had begun transferring the property two months ago.

Two months ago... It might be when Winnie was pregnant. No wonder Roy was so confident when she discovered his "adultery" – he had planned well for his future and stolen all her things.
