Chapter 6 FLASHBACKS

"Shin Alexandra! Don't turn your back from me I am still talking to you!" that is what a man who is aged fifty-five yelled. His face has turned red and the veins that are on his forehead are already visible to those who could see him with that, anyone could easily distinguish that the man is fuming mad at the lady who goes by the name Shin Alexandra.

Well, the neighborhood will surely fuss over what is going on and why the man is actually yelling at his own daughter if their home is not sound proofed.

"He will surely not yell at me if we are in public – of course he values more his image in front of other people" that is what the twenty-two-year-old Shin Alexandra Ferrell thought as she wipe her lips that is already bleeding because of the slap that she received a while ago from her own father. She then cannot help but to comb her hair with her fingers as she let out a hiss because the annoyance that she is feeling right now.

This is not the first time that her own father slapped her in the face that hard – well, in fact she is not sure herself if the man is still worthy for her to address as father because after everything that happened to her and to their family a lot of people will definitely agree with her when she said that the man that slapped her and was yelling at her a while ago is really not worthy anymore to be her or rather their father.

She was then about to enter her room in order to finally freshen up and to be able to get ready to leave the house when suddenly she felt two familiar presences near her and just then she already heard their annoying voices.

"God! Shin, are you alright?"

"Hey your lip is still bleeding, let us put some medicine on it."

The two exclaimed as they finally reached her, the one who asked if she is alright then was about to touch her lip when she immediately shoves away his hand.

"I don't remember allowing you to touch me, Sky" she said coldly to the man and the man no longer looked surprised with the reaction that he got from his twin sister. Well, in fact they are triplets – him, Shin and Shen. However, even if they are triplets, they really are different from each other – or to be precise Shin is the one who is different from the two of them however, both of them completely understand the reason behind that difference and they cannot blame their sister for it because she does not know the truth yet.

And even if she does know it, they have already come into terms the fact that there is no longer a chance for her to change her attitude because of what she probably experienced – their twin and only sister grew different from them.

"We are just concerned about you, Shin. You know that we don't like you to get into trouble with our father – he is also just worried about you" Shen said and that made Shin immediately let out a snort, it was actually like something irritating entered her ears or that what her brother – if he really is her brother – said triggered an allergic reaction to her whole system.

She cannot believe what she heard from her brother's mouth and that she really didn't expect him to say such a thing because to her he pretty much sounded like an enabler of what their father has done to her. In the first place, even if a child has committed something wrong a parent shouldn't resort to physical punishment such as slapping the child – hurting someone is never considered as a good thing and saying that it is because the parent is worried about the child is also not a good enough reason to do such a thing.

"Is this really my brother? Such a mentality tch is this what they learned from that so-called father of ours? If that is the case then it is obvious that they are going to be like that man in the future" that is what Shin thought and automatically her facial expressions turned into something even colder than it is already is.

"If you have nothing good to say then you better just shut your mouths and don't talk to me. Even if we are in the same house, it is not that I care about you that much so I hope that you will not care for me that much as well. Remember, I am just here in order to save my friends ass from that bastard and if I would be given an opportunity, I wouldn't really be coming back here in the first place" that is what Shin said, and even if she hates to say a lot of things, she was still able to say a lot because she is really pissed off with the remarks of her twin brother – or is he really her twin brother? Him having a different mindset makes her think that they are not even related in one way or another.

After she said those words, she saw the shocked expression plastered on her twin brothers faces and before they could even react Shin already grab the door knob of her room, opened it and without hesitations she already went inside and close the door in order to not anymore have an interaction with her twin brothers because she knows that she is going to be further annoyed if she is going to interact with them more.

"How come that I really have such brothers? Are they not using their brains? Tsk stupid" that is what she said as she once again run her fingers through her hair and at that moment, she was able to see a glimpse of her face on the whole-body mirror just across the room and she was able to see a clear and full look of herself right now.

She is wearing her denim tattered pants, some combat boots that she just bought recently, black shirt that is all dirty – specifically it is filled with mud because it heavily rained last night, her hair is also quite messy but even if it is messy, it is still smooth, other than her bloody lip right now, she also has a few bruises on her face which is caused by the people she encountered last night inside the bar that she went to in order to cool down her nerves but instead of cooling down her nerves she got even more annoyed and because she can no longer handle it, she already started a rumble in that bar

Well, there is nothing wrong in starting a rumble anyways because the owner of that bar is someone that she knows and everything that was broken was immediately charged to her account and the owner of the bar does not have to worry if she cannot pay or what because she can always pay – she has her own money and she is not depending on the money that is earned by that man that is unfortunately the reason why she is born in this world in the first place.

"That man, he already saw me in such a state – my face is already bruised and yet he still dared to slap me that hard tch I don't even know what exactly my mother saw in that guy that she married him" that is what Shin thought as she walked towards her restroom because she needs to freshen up already and that she is still going to go somewhere later to attend an event and even if she has been ordered not to leave the house because she is grounded and there is really nothing that could do.

However, the thing is that they are not the boss of her and they will never be. Also, that event is important and because of that she knows that no one in the house will be able to stop her in one way or another.

After a few minutes, Shin already finished taking a bath and now she is looking at herself in the mirror – she is already wearing her undergarments and she cannot help but to examine herself from her feet back to her face. Well, she is actually thinking right now on how will she cover up the bruises on her face – using a concealer in order to hide everything would be quite a struggle and a waste of concealer because there is really a lot to hide.

While she is looking at herself in the mirror, her eyes then focused on her chest – left chest to be specific and there she saw the tattoo she had ever since she is around the seventh grade, still young but even if that is the case, she was still allowed to get a tattoo – or rather she forced the tattoo artist to actually ink her and although her memory of that incident is quite vague to her now, she still can remember a portion of what happened.

"Now what should I wear?" she asked herself as she walk towards her closet in order to look for clothes that she is going to wear for tonight. There is actually a celebration at the school where she studies and all graduating students are required to attend, honestly, if it is not required then she wouldn't really join them in the first place well, it has been announced that those who didn't attend the event would have a hard time in graduating.

And of course, she doesn't want that to happen because she already wants to graduate in order to finally settle her deal with that man which is the reason why she was forced to go home anyways to the point that her friends' lives were even threatened because they know that she will not be forced in going home without having an ace on their sleeves.

After a short while of going through her clothes, Shin finally got the clothes that she likes and she will be comfortable to wear in that event and not to mention that she knows as well that she is going to look good.
