Chapter 7 FIRST MEETING

Shin Alexandra already finished fixing herself – she is already wearing the dress that she choose and also she already put her make-up on. Although she said a while ago that it would be quite a hassle if she is to put concealer all over her face to cover up all the bruises that she has, well, in the end, she still did because she cannot go to the university acquaintance ball if she didn't cover it all up.

Of course, all the students there do not exactly know that she is the type of girl that would create a scene and punch someone in the face whenever she is annoyed as hell. She is known to be mysterious, quiet, and doesn't give an f-ck type of girl. She also never socialized with anyone in the university and that is because she always thought that it is quite troublesome if she socialized with any student not to mention that it will not even be long before she leaves the place so there is no use anyways in forming bonds or connections especially the fact that she doesn't need any of those.

She gave herself another look in the mirror and when she saw herself, she then cannot help but let out a smile because of how gorgeous she looked. Well, she is always gorgeous but she is different right now because she finally got a chance to put on some makeup – a look that is for a ball because she does not usually attend such events.

After giving herself a last look in the mirror she finally grabbed her bag together with her phone and she immediately walked out of her room. The moment that she stepped out of her room, she saw something on her doorstep – it is a tray that has food on it, medicines, and even a note.

"Tch, they don't have to do this because I am not going to accept it anyways" that is what she thought and she just went past the tray on her doorstep – not giving a single f-ck about it. She is pissed off – totally pissed off with the people around this household where she is staying, if really, she could get out of this household and live alone, she would but that man who is called her father threatened her and that threat is deeply engraved on her mind and heart. She will not forget it for the rest of her life, not to mention the fact that this is the first time in her life that she was threatened and that she has been left with no choice but to adhere to what the one who threatened her is saying.

But of course, she does not regret everything that she did up until now because she has assured the safety of her friends also, she was able to protect her identity up until now – her identity that she is not planning on letting anyone know because it is not yet the time.

Shin continued walking and then when she went down, she cannot help but let out a sigh of relief because there is no one around, and because of that she will be able to leave without a single problem. Well, because she felt that anytime now anyone of them will be coming down to the kitchen she walked fast towards the exit – she knows too well that she will not be able to leave as soon as possible if she is to encounter either of them and she is running late.

When she got off the house, she immediately went to her car, got inside, and started the engine. Even though she is wearing a pair of heels she can still perfectly drive – well, because she is already pretty used to it driving - although wearing heels that is.

After about more or less thirty minutes, she finally arrived at her destination – the prestigious university where she is studying for two years now. Well, even if she has been studying in the place for two years now there are a lot of things that she still does not know and one of those is the mission and vision statement of the school, some students most probably have it already memorized or even familiarized but she, on the other hand, is perfectly clueless about those things.

There are also building names that she does not know and there are also places in the university that she is still completely clueless about to the point that she even asked once her classmate if that place already existed in the past.

"That annoying guard – well, it is a good thing that he still let me out" that is what Shin hissed the moment that she got out of her car. The thing is before she was able to get out of the house, a guard of the house stopped her to the point that he didn't even open the gates for her to be able to get out. The point of the guard is that they have been given an order not to let me out by their boss which is none other than the man that is called her father.

But lucky enough that the guard can be reasoned out and she just simply reasoned that she needs to attend a ball that is hosted by the university – she even showed the invitation that she had that stated the truth that she is indeed going to attend the ball. However, what pissed her off is the fact that the guard was about to still call that man to inform him that she is going out but regardless, she was still able to stop him and she only said that she is already running late.

"A lot of things happened today and I am no longer enjoying it" she whispered to herself as she fixed her dress and hair in front of the car's window to make sure that she still looks presentable and not stressed out or annoyed. Well, as much as possible she does not want to bring everything that stresses her out in the university because if she does then more or less little things will surely annoy her and when that happens, she will easily burst out and that is not good because she will surely cause trouble.

She may not look like it but she is maintaining as well an image in the university – it is safe to say that she is keeping a low profile, away from the eyes of those kings and queens that rule over the university but of course, that does not mean that she will be quiet when those people started targeting her.

Of course, if they tried to target her, she will immediately fight back but as long as they are not doing anything then she will keep her mouth shut. Well, she doesn't like those people – they are individuals who think highly of themselves but they just rely on the power and money of their parents, they haven't accomplished anything in their life so far.

After she already ensured that she still looks alright that is the time that she already walked towards the entrance and of course, she is walking with her head held up high because she is confident about her looks even if her face is bruised. Well, she is just really lucky that her concealer is potent in hiding such marks.

Shin then reached the place where the invitation is being shown and there, she saw a few individuals who are assigned to check the invitations. She walked towards one of them and she immediately showed her invitation – the person was then about to say something but the moment that his eyes saw her, she kind of froze in his position.

"Good evening may –

He is completely mesmerized by Shin Alexandra's beauty.

Shin Alexandra then cannot help but let out a sigh as she waved the invitation right in front of his face and finally at the moment he finally returned to reality and he also was able to regain his composure.

"Oh yes, you may come in already" that is what the guy said with a smile plastered on his face. After that, Shin put back the invitation inside her bag and without hesitations, she walked following the red-carpet path which headed to the place where the ball is going to be held.

As she followed the path, she cannot help but to notice that there are honestly quite a lot of individuals who are looking at her from toe to her face – obviously examining how she looks. She is an individual who is not that famous on campus however right now she kind of had the feeling that this night will surely change her university life.

"Shit, why did I attend this ball in the first place? Oh yeah, they said that we are going to have trouble graduating if we don't attend" that is what she to herself as she clicks her tongue in annoyance because she hates attention and now it is obvious that she needs to put up with it and be patient because there's nothing that she could do.
