Chapter 6 Something to Rekindle

After a deep breath Mia sighed. "Hello, Nate. Did you buy our drinks?" Nate quickly responded. "Actually, I wanted to but No I did not. Your waitress said it had been paid." Sara laughed and said "Oh Mia, you're stunning and some gentleman probably thought he might have a chance since you're the one without a ring on!"

The sisters both laughed together. Nate stared at Mia because he couldn't help but admire the woman she had became.

"Your sister could be right!" He smiled. "Are you seeing anyone Mia? Are you finally moving back home?" Mia looked at Sara unsure of what she should say. Nate wanted to marry Mia out of high school and make her a house wife and they were madly in love but she couldn't come to terms with not having a career and life of her own.

Sara soon spoke and told Nate that she invited Mia to celebrate her engagement and asked her to be her maid of honor. She wasn't moving back just visiting. Meanwhile Mia put her chin in the palm of her hand and stirred the straw in her drink repeatedly.

Mia then said "Thanks for speaking for me sis! And also, not currently seeing anyone Nate. How about you?" Nate's smile grew ear to ear and a slight blush showed on his tan skin.

"Can we get lunch tomorrow before you head back home?" Nate wanted to spend time with her. Mia said that would be fine! Sara glared daggers at Nate. She always liked him for her sister but didn't agree with him trying to hold her back out of school and not being supportive. That's why they broke up..
