Chapter 2 The Koi Pond

The Butler was pulling the beautiful news anchor for a local station Chloe, Noah's brother Braxton Macari's wife from the pond.

Chloe's blonde hair had green plant leaves in it and was shivering from the cool winter breeze. She looked wretched and her being soaked from the water screaming "Alyssa just tried to end my life why did she push me into the pond? Alyssa must be out of her mind".

The maid was helping Alyssa out of the pond and didn't say a word. Alyssa looked up and saw Noah comforting Chloe his brother Braxton's wife and giving her his coat. While Noah was walking the hysterical Chloe inside to the warm mansion he quickly glared at his wife Alyssa as she stood there freezing and felt the maid ushering her to go inside and warm up.

Alyssa took a glance across the yard towards the infinity pool witch overlooked the city and wished things for her were different.

Alyssa took a warm shower and let the warm water run on her body to warm her up as she was lost in thought she snapped back and proceeded to scrub her hair and body vigorously.

When she got out Alyssa wrapped herself in her pink fleece bathrobe drying her hair on her way out to the bedroom to grab clothes from her closet. Noah was sitting on the bed and did not look his wife in the eyes exuding a terrifying vibe and said "Grandpa Macari wants to see you in the study once you are dressed" then he stood up and walked out of the room.

Alyssa looked at Noah's retreating back and said in a low voice "I didn't push Chloe into the pond". Noah stopped turned around and looked at Alyssa indifferently with a chilly glare and said "mmm" turned back around and proceeded down the stairs.

Alyssa was hoping Noah would take her side or even ask what had happened but it turned out none of the Macari's wanted to hear her side of the story and Alyssa was used to the indifferent treatment from the Macari's since getting married to Noah 2 years ago.
