Chapter 6 Sick

While midnight was approaching and the moon is high up in the sky shinning in its splendour, the time for the mating ceremony had come, all eligible ladies stood at the center of the mates ground where the mating ceremony is held with males surrounding them forming a circle , showing their respect to the Moon goddess while every other person witnessing the ceremony were standing 200 meters away from them....

Most times there's a ceremony held to get mates but certain times you might just meet your mate on the way or at office, but this special ceremony was held because the brother to the king alpha Arix was about to get his mate.

When the moon reached the highest level it could be in the sky , the king alpha started off by howling to the moon followed by the wolves indicating that the mate searching begins, they normally get their mates from 80 years of age because they live up to thousands years of age and searching for their mates need the use of smell, although they are more sensitive to smell than other beings excluding the vampires, but when they meet their mates there is a subtle throbbing in their heart with the sweet smell emanating from the person lets them know their mates, then when they are connected to their mates by having intimate sessions, they will get a mark on their necks for the female while the males gets the mark of their mate on their wrist , they feel everything and hear the thoughts of anyone they marked and also become stronger, certain times when someone didn't get a mate and have a female or male they fancy after mating they still gets the mark, feel and hear the thoughts but don't get stronger, so most male and females wants their mates but those naturally stronger don't need to think too much about it.

After the howling the search begins while the witness go back to their various house waiting for the news of those who got their mates at dawn.

Armie got to his bedroom went to the shower and let the water run over his body while remembering what his ceremony was like, also hoping his brothers ceremony wont get to be like his, when he got out from the bathroom,he saw his father and mother sitting on the chair in his room waiting for him.

"Armie, have you thought about what we said earlier, you need to get married you are the king to stay in your position although you need strength, you also need a queen"; said Armie's father

"Listen to your father Armie, that girl Selina grew up with you, she also doesn't have a mate, you guys can be together "

" Mother, you know i don't like her that way";

" Is there anyone you like that way, bring the person here then, listen to your father and get married";

Armie exhaled and said" alright i will think about it";

"What are you still thinking about since years now"

Armies mother held his father hand to calm him down and said you are not getting any younger or don't you want me to get grandkids.

"Alright i have heard you after i have seen Arix mate i will work towards it" Armie thought i might just give the throne to Arix after all he is a lycan too.

Armies father left infuriated while the mother was consoling him and calming him down telling him that Armie knows the right thing to do.

Armie laid down exhausted then slowly fell asleep.

Lucy laid down on the bed sick of the flu, her phone rang continuously but without the strength to pick the call it ended on its own, Eva at her home started wondering if she got the date wrong about when she was supposed to go to the shopping mall with Lucy, she continuously called Lucy without any response, so she made her way to Lucy place, knocking on the doors but no one answered after knocking for sometime she was about to go when it opened a crack showing Lucy covered from head to toe with a blanket looking haggard, "whats wrong are you sick? No wonder you didn't pick when i called and when i was knocking no one opened the door" come in and lock the door behind you Lucy answered with shaking voice and trembling limbs, Eva immediately closed the door and helped Lucy to the bed letting her lie down , asking her series of questions about when the sickness started, if she had taken her meds, Lucy groaned and said " shut up my head is almost breaking down"

"Oh sorry, but have you taken your meds"; Lucy pointed to the table showing her drugs and indicated that she had taken them.

Eva stayed with Lucy helping her clean her sweat and changing the water used to wipe her down tried to make her eat on time and also gave her meds when it was time, by the time it got to 6pm Lucy was feeling better and sitting up on the bed gisting with Eva they were talking about the latest song by BTS and laughing about it, " i have already gotten my gown and shoes when would you go get yours"; Eva said, Lucy looked at her and feigning sadness said while pouting "wicked girl you went without me Where's our friendship going to be placed then"; Eva hit her hand then said " what do you mean by this, if i wasn't your friend you would have died by now with how high your fever was"; Lucy burst out laughing and said " don't mind me i was just joking with you....

Lucy sent Eva to the door before 7pm so that it wont be too late for her to get home and also thanked her for coming and taking care of her, "what are friends for "

"i will go get my dress and shoes next week Wednesday , don't worry";

"Alright, take care when going home and call me when you get home ok..."

"Alright mum";.Eva said jokingly.
