Chapter 4 The bar

While Serena a slender beautiful girl with long flowing chestnut coloured hair and green eyes looked longingly at Arix ,she has loved Arix for a long time and have been praying that he would be her mate.

Oris looked towards Arix that entered the door " Hey, you're late what was the reason you just came now when the time was set for 7pm its 8:30now so you are approximately 1hr 30 minutes late, hmmm common tell me was it Jessi that brunette you met at the club last time" Arix kicked Oris in his shin after sitting heavily on the sofa next to Oris " what do you mean brunette you meant hottie right?" Both broke into guffaws while shaking hands then Arix greeted everyone around then sighed heavily, its my big bro, you know he has always believed he would get a mate but it has been hundred years now, no mate and you know with our mate we get stronger too but it doesn't necessarily mean we need one, it just that the situation calls for him to get married am very sure my parents are on their way back from the trip and will pester him like always to pick someone and get married but i know my brother still believes that his mate will come even though he never shows it on his face, but the issue this time is big so he would have to eventually get married and it might happen this year ending.

Selina while listening at the side her eyes lit up flickeringly with a scheming undertone, inside she thought so i just need to meet Armies parents and persuade them to let Armie marry me ,well we both don't have mates, the rest that don't have is because they are not of age yet, with this plan in mind Selina became much more happy and drank more while smiling to herself.

Serena eyes has been on Arix since he entered till now, but no one noticed it except Oris who has also been watching her from the sidelines, he has been in love with Serena for a long time but didn't confess because he didn't want things to be awkward between them if he tells her he has always loved her, so he kept silent and have been protecting her covertly by her side like a monk.

The witch Asa that have been with them just kept on drinking while watching them and shaking her head thinking " what a triangle of love, wonder what will happen when arix gets his mate, she sighed and kept on drinking.

After the meeting at the bar Arix and the others went to their various homes, when Selina got home she went to her parents intending to use their connection to Armie parents to bring up the topic of her and Armie getting married, Serena went straight to her room looking forlorn and lovesick, Selina tutted at her thinking what a coward then went straight to her parents room on getting there she started hearing ambiguous sound and stopped halfway thinking " hmm they are already old but still do things meant for the young ones, don't you know you are old, quickly come out and talk to me"; then she left to her room to think on how she would talked to her parents about the marriage and love of her life while giggling foolishly.

After one hour Selina heard her mother calling them to come eat, Selina rushed out saying "mum, dad i have something to discuss with you";

Selina mum asked " what is it? That you are grinning happily like that for?"

Selina said while smiling i heard that Armie might choose someone to get married to"; Selina's mom said and so? Selina looked at her mum flabbergasted and exclaimed saying mum what do you mean.. you know how long i have been waiting for this";

Selina dad said " yes its true you have always loved him but are you sure you will be the one he choose";

Selina looked angrily at her parents and said why won't he choose me am the one , the only one he will choose", she slammed the door and left the room.

Meanwhile in the palace, Armie laid on the bed thinking about what he would do concerning the issue of the raiding and killing done, he was angry that they were challenging him using the excuse that he didn't have a mate to insult his authority, he was restless and turning around on the bed then he suddenly stood up, he walked outside the palace majestically and transformed to his lycan form while running towards the fairies lot, in the south side or Aris, this is where most of the beings are missing almost 7000 fairies are dead or missing and it happens mostly at night, fairies are nocturnal beings and are most active at night that's when they hold their parties and events, so he went around the areas by the time he would check all over thousands of kilometres of area in the fairies lot dawn came, since he the investigation didn't get anywhere he left to go home, on reaching the palace he saw his brother running towards him saying "mum and dad are back, run run, if not they would disturb and pester you,"

Armie knocked his head and said " your shouting alone already told them i am here" Arix was dumbfounded and swallowing his saliva while looking at his brother's dark face said "sorry".

At the Jones house Lucy sitting in front of the computer waited while counting down the time to the results showing on her school dashboard, the same way every other person that wrote the exams.... She was sure she would graduate this year but she still felt anxious as everyone else, her mum and dad looked at her encouraging her not to be anxious that she has always been good at her studies then what is she afraid and anxious for, she breathed out a breath of air then said " ok am checking now,"

Lucy refreshed the dashboard then seeing her score she breathed a sigh of relief, and smiled saying " mum and dad i am graduating, then she screamed with happiness she graduated with flying colours, her mum and dad kept saying we told you that there's nothing to fear, Lucy smiled brightly at her parents.
