Chapter 7 7

Following the subsequent morning, I woke up, because of the continual banging on the door.....

Who's that? Go check it out, Edna,".

I heard Hansel tap on my shoulders.

I struggled to leave, but since the thumping went on constantly, I walked to the door and opened it.

A maid stood in front of me.

"Good morning ma'am, please it's time for breakfast,". She said and left. I closed the door again walking back to the bed. I gently pressed my head against the fluffy pillows, forgetting what the maid came to tell me. .....

Hansel and I continued sleeping...

Immediately, I big bang on the same door had both Hansel and myself jumping up in fear. "Whoa, who the heck is that?".. Hansel screamed at the top of his voice. I watched him and listened to who it might be.

Just then, I heard Mrs. Sara speak, "Son! Wake up, it's time to get ready,". She said.

"Ready for what?". Hansel said.

A phone bussed. I looked at my phone, and Hansel did, I thought maybe mom might be calling, however, it wasn't my phone that bussed, it was Hansel's phone...

"Oh shit! It's a minute past eight". He rushed down from the bed running to the bathroom...

I was still in bed. Hansel came out, after getting dressed in an expensive suit. He brings out his suitcase under the bed and without as much as a word to me, left me alone.

I took my time to come downstairs after Hansel Left.

Everyone was at the breakfast table when I got there.

Mrs. Sara saw me coming. I wanted to seat right next to her. But she pointed out the fact that there was an empty seat right next to my husband. Hansel kept on pretending not to notice my presence.

I never thought in my wildest dreams, that the man whom I was betrothed to get married to, would leave me on the day of our wedding.

"Lupita, serve my daughter-in-law some delicious breakfast,"..... She says... Hansel's mom...

I pick up my fork and spoon, waiting to be served and in a short hour, a lady walks in, she screamed Hansel's name, hurriedly approaching where we were. The breakfast table... At the table, mom immediately screamed in amazement.

" oh my God, my baby is back,"...

She got up from her chair and went to her. She wasn't the only one.

Hansel joined in, after his dad.

They were all In a happy mood, and I was alone, seated to at least have someone explain to me what is happening. Who is she?..

"Hello, sister, Muna, my baby sister,"

Hansel clears my confusion.

Oh. She's the daughter of the Rutherford family. Also my sister-in-law.

Mrs. Sara pulled her to the chair at the breakfast table, she asked Lupita to get an extra plate from the kitchen.

The atmosphere got a little darkened at the entrance of a man.

We turned at the same time to see a man holding two pieces of luggage in his hand.
