Chapter 6 Logical explanation

Athena found herself inside her room lying on the ground. She stood up, and looked around wondering how she had gotten back in here. What happened? Yeah, she was returning back home when...

They got kidnapped! They wanted elena and she had gotten mad, and...

Athena gasped! Did...all that really happened?

She...evolved into a werewolf? And had even opened a portal and went to the secret submit of the alphas? And she...was the dominant one in the gathering?

What?

She recalled opening up another portal and came back to her room, and that was when she had lost consciousness and fainted. How long was that? What has happened after then?

Her room was inside the den, and was the smallest room anyone ever stepped in. This is where she had grown up alone, inside the small place which always freaked her out, but she always distracted myself with the novels she usually read, which were piled up beside her bed right on the floor. But at least it wasn't as small as an elevator right? She needed to know what was going on out there, what's happened after then.

It was night fall, and she was very hungry so she headed for the kitchen to find something and eat. No! Should she just run away? What if Alpha Gerald shows up and tries to kill her? Or worse, alpha Samuwa? Athena was freaking out. She should probably run away right?

Athena sprinted across the den, heading straight for the kitchen. There was no one around at all, even when she found some good and gobbled them all up till she was full. No one at all was around, what exactly is going on?

And then, she heard...noise.

People were talking from somewhere, and she followed the noise till she came to the eating hall. Everyone was surprisingly there, and a lot of beta's had gathered around Elena while she just stared at the wall, quiet and frozen. They kept nudging and asking her different questions which Athena could hear very clearly.

She could hear what they're asking her from this distance??

But it only lasted for about ten seconds, and then she couldn't hear them anymore. Except the normal muttering, and giggles that always heard. This is crazy? Were her powers coming on and off?

Athena shouldn't have. She should have ran away now, but her body was moving on its own, and she was walking into the Hall where everyone was. No one noticed her at first, and she took an empty seat. The girl sitting at the next seat close to her was the first person who saw her, and in the next five seconds everyone was staring at Athena. Every single person in the hall had gone quiet, and was just staring at her.

So it's true? She really did...fully awakened as a werewolf?

Does that mean they would stop bullying her now?

"Well, well well. I don't believe a word anyone is saying about you!" Neil spoke up, walking towards Athena. This time his friends weren't with him, it was just him.

He banged his fists on Athena's table, making everything on it jump as he glared at her with his Golden eyes "You're no alpha. You were never a Werewolf!"

"I am!" Athena always talked back at him, she wouldn't stop now.

"Then what're you waiting for? Prove it!"

And then, he grabbed her face and squeezed, like he usually did.

He was applying much more pressure this time, and it was very painful. But, Athena smiled.

When she had decided to step back into this place, she knew exactly what she was signing up for.

Athena didn't move, neither did she glare back at him, and she also tried to keep the pain from showing on her face.

She was a werewolf, She was no human.

They should have treated her with some respect at least, no matter what she was. She tried to keep her anger in check, but it seems it wasn't working,

"Why on Earth..." Athena grabbed his hands and effortlessly pulled it off her face. He looked stricken as he changed into his wolf-man form, trying to get out of her grip but she tightened her fists around his hands till she heard his bones snapping. He groaned in pain, but Athena didn't care.

'Have a little taste of your own medicine, for bullying me for as long as I can remember, for making me feel like I wasn't worth it.For making me think I am human!'

Athena twisted the hands side ways like she was playing with an elastic toy. He screamed as his wrists snapped, while she calmly stood up from my seat like it was nothing at all. Everyone was shocked, and quiet. The only noise you could hear was the one of Neil begging her to let go of his arm.

"Do you believe them now? That I'm a Werewolf just like you?" She asked softly, but everyone could hear the steel deadlines in her voice.

"Yes, yes I do." he was shaking his head so fast, his face red with pain.

"Is there something you've got to say to me then?"

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry Athena!" He cried out, tears forming in his eyes. If she made one more twist,. Athena was gonna turn his hands Into a complete a hundred and eighty degrees, but she refrained from doing so, even though her inner wolf was encouraging to just rip the complete arm off his shoulders, that she should teach him the lesson he would never forget. Let him serve as an example to others.

"Are you saying this because you mean it, or you just want me to let go of your arm?" Now she was playing with him. This werewolf thing was really overwhelming. Athena could smell the entire food in here and the entire den itself from where she was standing. She could hear birds chirping too, and she knew it was several miles away.

And she felt like if she wanted to transform fully into a wolf, she could do it!

"I mean it, I swear!"

Finally, she let go of his arms, and he clutched it softly as he ran out of the room. He shouldn't be that worried, it's gonna heal before the day ends. Athena just stood there staring at the door where he had ran out from, unmoving. Up till this moment, no one had moved a muscle at all, and I doubted it if they were even breathing.

*Don't be such a scaredy cat, go rip all their heads off* Her wolf grumbled inside her head.

*why?*

*Why are they staring at you like that? It's irritating* the wolf replied.

*Isn't it?*

*We should kill them, it'll be quick*

*anyways, what're you again?*

It was silent for a while *Idiot, I'm your wolf. Call me Aurora*

*you have a female name, but you have a manly voice*

*Shut up!*

*but you're just my subconsciousness aren't you?* Athena asked to be sure.

Athwny would have sworn Aurora felt it smirk *sometimes...*

And then, it was gone again.

Her powers had went off, and everything felt normal like it's always been. Does everyone has a talking subconsciousness who claims to be their wolf inside their head? Athena had no time to dwell further on that instead she turned to Collins who was standing very far away from her - actually he was just the first person she saw when she turned sideways. As soon as their eyes met, he swallowed looking scared and his legs trembled.

"When is Alpha Gerald arriving?" She asked.

"I...I don't know. No one does. They're a lot of dens around America, and he could be at anyone right now. I just don't know so please..."

Athena scratched her head in confusion from the way he spoke. That's a first time for her.

"Okay thanks," she replied, before hopping out.

Athena got back to her room, and as soon as she locked the door shut she jumped on the bed releasing all her pent up confusing and shock. Athena screamed Into pillow, finally registering all that happened in there. "I'm stronger than Neil...I made everyone scared of me and last but definitely not the least...I have a talking subconsciousness!" She yelled at no one in particular.

This is too much to process..Her brain was about to explode. Could she be coming up with a headache? Or is this all a dream? Athena was already pinching myself over and over again, but she wasn't waking up. Maybe there was a perfectly logical explanation as to why she was able to do all that, right?

Yes, a good and Normal explanation.

Suddenly, Athena got goosebumps all over her body, and she got chills everywhere.

That insane feeling gotten sometimes when you feel as if someone's watching you? Yeah, that's it. Athena was eerie and dubious, and she couldn't help but look around her small room.

"Who's there?" She stumbled out softly.

No reply.

"Show yourself, and stop hiding. It's creepy,"

"Can you... handle it?" A Husky spoke out of nowhere, and her heart thrummed. It made her jump, and Athena grabbed her pillow hugging it like it was gonna protect her from whoever was giving off this overwhelming aura.

"Sure.." she muttered.

"Of all the people in the world. It had to be You, why you?"

Athena hugged the pillow even tighter. The voice was deep, manly but scary.

"Why me what?" She slowly let go of the pillow. She wouldn't let the fear take over her, it's better to face whoever it was head on! And she's never backed out so she was not gonna start now no matter how scary it gets.

Just as it came, the eerie feeling was gone again. And her goosebumps vanished too.

Whoever it was had left.

Athena held her chest, to calm herself down once again. Everything is just too overwhelming for her today, and she didn't know what to do. She didn't get much sleep that night.

She couldn't help but think about everything that had happened so far, including the CEO of XA empire. Athena found myself touching her small neck, where she had been licked, her cheeks reddening.

She slapped herself hard on the face. She was just gonna have to avoid that man, because she having a really bad feeling about this.

The next morning, Athena walked into the eating room, and served herself before sitting down to eat. The place had gone as silent as a grave, as she once again could feel everyone's gaze on her back. No one dared spoke, for fear that she would hear whatever it was, but she couldn't.

Because the powers hadn't came on.

At least they did know that, and she would keep it that way.

Athena had the first peaceful breakfast that morning, and absolutely no one disturbed her. Neil had his eyes buried inside his food, he couldn't even look up to meet her eyes. She looked at his wrist, which looked perfectly alright now. Normally, he would be laughing with his friends, and then when they see her walk in, they would all get up and the bullying would commence. Things had really changed, and hopefully... For the better.
