Chapter 4 He threatens

I ran into the elevator, before my shift process alarmed. Luckily, that didn't happen until the automatic door closed. I huffed, glancing at the metallic walls that caged me to the left and right while rubbing my chest to ease my nervousness. I was thinking about the possible punishment I would receive from Alpha tomorrow. It's my birthday and I hope that my shift will be fulfilled so that there is a chance for me to heal immediately if he physically punishes me.

Opening the door, I saw myself rushing out of it. I am so glad that I was given the mercy of the shift process and that it did not put me in trouble, especially here in a public place. Just as I was about to leave the Hildart building, I remembered the text message on my phone. My shoulder sagged when I read that it was from my aunt. It is said that I have to come home early so that I can wash the uniforms of her daughters.

Thinking about my tasks, I'm absolutely slammed, and I'm sure there's only a few hours left for my sleep; I'll be washing the dishes after dinner and cleaning the kitchen plus, I also have to wash my clothes but that will be in the last batch because I need to prioritize theirs.

Why is the life of an omega so hard and boring?

Walking on the side of the road waiting for a taxi to catch, to get home sooner, a yelp flew from my mouth as the bones from my back cracked. Goddess, not on this place, please!

I caged the strap of my shoulder bag in my fist, feigning okay for humans not to notice my situation. It was just a cracked one, and settled right away. I quickly stepped on my feet while my eyes flittering at the buildings, big cars and illuminated poles around feeling like there are a lot of pair of eyes were looking at me.

I'm overthinking...

Glancing at the night sky, staring at the moon, I mentally begged to the moon goddess not to let me perish in this situation. I want to have a wolf but I don't want it this way. I cannot disparage the Dark moon pack. Especially since the gossip about Alpha's odd action to his former secretary seems to be spreading.

I got to the shed, on the side of it, there was a flickering bulb that didn't seem to draw electricity. The other side of it also seems broken. This place worked in my favor, dark, that even if the shift process attacked me no one would notice. I have faith in the Taxi light just in case, there is one.

I was about to sit down when my hip bone suddenly cracked. I also broke a bone in my knee which caused pain to shoot through my whole body. I fell to my knees, instead of sitting on the very seat of the shed. I grabbed the rough pavement I was standing on and couldn't help but cry.

I tried to stop myself from screaming, especially now that the situation seemed worse. Humans can't hear me. In my situation, they will definitely think of a hospital as the solution to help me. That can't happen, humans see how I shift; a woman who turned into a wolf and I'm sure they will think of me as a monster.

Holding my belly, I tried to support my knee but, my back bone cracked again, seeming to grow and rise. I groaned, trying to look around as my tears rolled down my cheeks. Of all the shift processes that have happened, the one I'm going through now is the most complicated. My arms folded like the front legs of a wolf, she seemed to be trying to get out right away, so I told her, under my groan, "Not now!" Then it retracted.

Currently fighting the pain whilst crying, I heard a man's voice that made me startle, "Sophia? What the-" He rushes towards me. I panicked mentally and had no choice but to close my eyes tightly. I just want to make sure he doesn't see the possible glow in my eyes.

I know him, he's Ethan's, Bella's and mine's boy bestfriend. My whole thought was that he had already gone home, especially since I had timed out overtime.

I felt his warm palm on my arm, while the pain in my belly slowly drew around my hip. I groaned trying to bear it as my belly clenched. I lay on the floor while Ethan started to panic. "What the hell is happening to you? Fuck!" He lifted my arm and I felt his little hair in his nape pricking into my arm skin. "I'm going to take you to the hospital."

I automatically protested, "Don't!" I groaned, as if the pain was like a laser drawing through my leg as well, luckily my bones didn't crack this time because he would be surprised for sure if that happened.

"Bloody hell, you're not okay, Sophia come on!"

I want to open my eyes but I can't. I just felt his arm on my back and his hand clenched around my waist to yank me upright but I still protested. "You don't know what you're doing, Ethan. Let me go!"

We can't last like this. Maybe my bones will crack and he will hear. I don't know what to do then. How can I escape from his grip? He can't know what I really am. "Oh my starts and garters! Is paying the hospital what you're worried about? I'll provide it for you. Help yourself! Get up!"

I have to be tough. I will not go with him! But how can I get away from him if he tries to carry me like this? He's struggling but he doesn't seem to have any plans to give up. He yelled under his grunt, "Come on, Sophia!"

I screamed as the sharp pain rose to my back. "Put me down!" I keep struggling from his grip.

He started to get confused by what I was doing causing him to ask, "What the hell is going on with you? Why don't you want to go to-holly shit!" That's when my back bone cracked. "W-What is that?"

I whimpered and tried to push him away. "Leave!"

But he yanked my arm closer to him and muttered despite his breathlessness, "Weird but, I can't leave you here. Come on!"

"No! Ethan, go!" I have no choice but to do this. I pushed him forcefully and my knees fell on the rough concrete.

"I'm sorry Sophia, but I won't!" As I expected, I feel him crouched in front of me to force me to stand up again.

"Stop!"

"No! I don't know why, but you're not okay, Sophia! Don't be stubborn come'on!"

"Let her go." My heart rates dangerously skyrocketing. It was Alpha Eros' voice and he was actually standing behind me.

"S-Sir." Ethan feigned a chuckle trying to hide his fear. "S-She's in trouble-"

"I can handle her." Alpha's voice was cold, demanding and seemed threatening. I felt tense in his presence as if telling me to prepare myself for his punishment later. It seems that it will increase owing to what is happening now. I was also worried because Ethan heard my bone cracking. I tried to endure the sharp pain in my stomach reacted again.

I just whimpered while listening to the Alpha's demand to my human friend, "Now, leave."

It seems that Ethan doesn't want to leave because of worry. I understood, he was just a really good friend and he actually said, "B-But-"

But the Alpha cut him off, "I said leave." There was a mixed roar but only in a faint way, enough to dominant his demand on Ethan.

Ethan forced himself to stand up, and backed away from me and said, "O-Okay sir. T-Thank you. And uhm... hey Sophia..." I felt him look at me. "Call me when you're okay. It's hard to worry, you know that."

I just nodded, until I heard his footsteps go away. Opening my eyes, I breath a sigh of relief. Watching Ethan running away, my fist clenched on the cement when I felt the Alpha step in front of me. "Get up."

I don't want to make an excuse to make him even more pissed off. Even though I was struggling, and was losing all of my body, I tried to get on my feet. My hand was still on my belly, but I feigned fine in front of him, despite the pain. I tried to look at his clenched square jaw while his eyes had a slight glare. He approached me that made my heart skip a beat.

My mouth let out a gasp when he yanked my arm and suddenly scooped me up going to what was probably his car. My arms automatically wrapped around his nape still mentally asking why he was doing this. Our rank gap is far from each other for him to do this to me. I'm just a lowly omega while he's a respected Alpha.

He dropped me right in front of the car door, and he actually opened it for me. My astonishment remained despite the alarm in my bones that he could also hear. I can only tolerate the pain because it is not as bad as before.

"Get in."

To lighten the intimidating situation, and avoid anger building in him, I did what he said without showing any hesitation. The conditioner filling inside the car immediately hits my nose when I got in. I expected him to go to the other side of it where he would just hop in the driver's seat, but he bent down and suddenly grabbed me by the neck.

I whimpered as the fear shot through my whole body manifesting him not to bury his claws into my flesh. Staring into his eyes, the fiery hue of his eyes flashed. Gnashing his teeth, he hissed right on my face, "When you shift, keep yourself away from humans. When the pack will put on danger because of you, I will rip out that rat heart of yours out of your chest. Do you understand?"

My throat was dry, I was terrified, and as a promise-I wasn't sure if I could keep-I gave him a series of nods and said louder than whispered, "Y-Yes Alpha."

"Good." He let go of my neck in a pushy manner and left in front of me, slamming the door closed that made me startled as my heart thundering inside my chest.
