Chapter 4 Weird Training

"Leila, just on time." Leonardo exclaimed as I approached him, back at the hallway we were previously at - again it still being pretty packed with people.

"So, where do you want me?" I said quickly, cutting straight to the point, self consciously pulling my skirt down and looking around nervously. I hated these revealing outfits.

"Well, usually I'd just have you in the main room with all of the other maids - but today I'm debating on whether or not to put you in private...or talent." he said with a mischievous smirk on his face, making immediate eye contact with me.

God, no. Not talent - I didn't mind private as that was usually for the extremely rich men who although would not treat you the best, would pay you the most and only five or six maids were allowed in that room - but talent was much worse.

It wasn't like it sounds, you know maybe doing some stand up comedy or making a dog dance, I wished. Unfortunately, no it was a room where you had to either sing a suggestive song or dance to a suggestive song.

"Pl-please can I go into private then." I suggested quietly, stuttering on my words.

Leonardo looked at me with an amused look on his face and for a moment and I had a gut feeling he'd go for the opposite of what I'd asked - fortunately today he was in a good mood, I suppose.

"Yes," he sighed "if you wish. Best behaviour though Leila. We have very important visitors today." Leonardo warned me. I sighed in relief that I wouldn't be forced into the talent room.

"Thank you," I said appreciatively "and who is it?" I questioned.

"Now, now Leila were you never taught that curiosity killed the cat?" he chuckled shaking his head patronisingly at me, then all of a sudden spoke quite seriously "It doesn't matter who they are, you just need to know to be extra...nice." Leonardo then said suggestively with a quick wink.

I knew exactly what he meant by that.

"Okay." I squeaked, nodding my head.

I nodded, although he'd already walked ahead, and quickly followed after him.

I really hoped the 'special guest' didn't choose me. When Leonardo told us to treat whoever was coming a lot more nicely, that meant they were usually very rich or very powerful - or a worst case scenario would be if they were both.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad...

I finished off placing a variety of food on the long table that was covered in a lace cloth, there weren't any seats at that particular table as it was mainly just for food.

There was a bar where the guests could order drinks and sit down at, and also a few tables and chairs scattered around - but like I said, it wasn't going to be very busy, so there weren't many needed.

Another area that was silver was where us maids had to stand when we weren't called upon. We each got a small, silver square platform to stand on - like a stage, and were made to clasp our own hands together and stand there quietly until ready to be bought or called for a favor.

I put the last platter of food down, before flipping my hair back out of my face as I bent back up from the table.

I began to take a step back and immediately realized I'd just walked into somebody.

"I'm so sorry-I..." I began, as I turned around to face a pretty blond girl.

I'd never been in there, but I'd overheard some girls who used to take part in it say it was horrendous. You'd be forced into tacky outfits and be basically humiliated in front of an audience of middle aged, perverted men.

"Good girl, now let's get going the guests will be arriving soon and you need to help the others set up and then get in your stand." he told me, as he began walking hastily towards the private room.

Luckily, they would only be in the private rooms and I'd never been taken there before.

The room was fairly small as not many maids, or guests, would be walking around as it was a more classy and obviously private room.

The interior design of the room mainly consisted of black and white marble, the bar was marble and so were the floors. Although, the table was silver and so were the shelves where the alcohol was kept behind the bars.

She was a few inches taller than my 5'1 height - 5'5 in heels - and her face was framed with a blond bob. Her eyes were dark blue contrasting well with her light hair, and the girl looked a couple of years older than me. She had her lips painted a deep red color, and wasn't wearing a lot of make up on her eyes. Her uniform was also quite similar to mine, although you could tell the difference. Instead of it being a one piece dress, the top was separate from the skirt and it was a few inches shorter. She also had on a higher pair of heels than me. The girl was very pretty to say the least.

"No, don't apologize it was my fault!" she smiled sheepishly.

I smiled tightly and nodded my head not really knowing what else to say, debating whether to walk away.

"I'm Bonnie." she said suddenly "What's your name?" Bonnie spoke cheerfully.

"Leila." I spoke simply, smiling back.

"It's nice to meet you Leila, I don't think I've seen you here before. Are you new?" Bonnie asked curiously.

"No, actually, I've worked for this company for almost four years. I've just been...bought for the past year." I said truthfully, looking around - not trying to be rude, but just feeling anxious, not having spoken to a girl around my age in a while.

"Oh! That's interesting," she said sounding truthful "I've only been working here for a year, and have been in and out of people's homes frequently. I mustn't be very good." the blond girl chuckled.

"I see," I said letting out a breathy laugh back smiling at her overly cheerful attitude "um...I'm not trying to be rude but why did Leonardo let you into the private room then?" I asked quietly.

"It's fine, I'd be wondering the same thing. It's just because although I'm rid of quickly, I get brilliant feedback." she winked at me, and I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion before my eyes widened.

"Ohhh..." I muttered not really sure what else to say.

Bonnie didn't seem phased, or aware, of my uncomfortable response and carried on talking "Did Leonardo tell you about this 'special guest'? He sounds scary." Bonnie said in a low voice, as if careful not to let anybody hear her.

"Yeah he told me there would be somebody important coming, but he didn't really go into detail." I explained.

"Well, I heard that this guy is pretty rich and very, very powerful and a source not to be messed with according to Leonardo." Bonnie told me "Although, don't say I told you - I only overheard this conversation from Leonardo with one of his men." she said all of a sudden sounding worried.

"Don't worry your secrets safe with me." I smiled at her reassuringly.

"Good! I like you already." she grinned at me.

"You too." I replied, and I did - I was slowly starting to warm up to her. I wasn't saying we'd exactly have a sleepover and plait each other's hair as you can never really work off of a first impression and people could be putting on a façade, but she seemed nice and genuine so far.

"Do you thi-" Bonnie began, before we were suddenly faced with an overwhelming ringing sound of a microphone being dropped or switched on, before the sound of a man clearing his throat.

I looked to where the sound was coming from it was from the top corner of the room where the speakers were situated and listened;

"Maids, please go to your stands and position yourselves. The guests will be let in shortly. Remember to be polite, and if spoken to respond with respect. If somebody asks for you, you go up to them with no objections and ask them what they need. You will not be called if you are wanted to be bought, a member of staff will accompany the man/woman that would like to purchase you and you will then be taken with them and whatever items you own that are in your room will be given to you as you are about to leave to your designated destination." Leonardo's voice boomed through the speakers and then there was silence apart from a small buzz from the speakers still, before a few mumbles from girls in the room complaining were heard.

His voice came through suddenly again and the voices stopped "Remember the rules girls." he warned "Now, have fun - which I know you will - and break a leg." Leonardo finished before the sound cut off completely.

Bonnie sighed "Well, you heard the man. Let's get to it."

"I guess so." I shrugged and gave her a small smile before heading over to my platform, which was conveniently next to hers.

She turned to me before we heard the large doors opening and mouthed "Good luck." to which I responded with a brief smile and nod as if to say 'you too'.

I stood as I was told, and suddenly the doors opened completely as members of staff began to walk in followed by a large group of men.

The first guest to walk in immediately caught my eye, and I somehow knew he was the man not to be messed with...
