Chapter 6 Met With The Boss of Cruelty

"Mr Constanzo, so glad you made it!" Leonardo exclaimed excitedly as we entered his office.

Dante nodded his head at Leonardo, a lot more calm than Leonardo came across.

"And I'm...pleasantly surprised to see you chose Leila here. In fact she was just put on the market again today." Leonardo said as he reached his hand out to shake Dante's as he took a seat opposite his desk.

"Yes well I decided she seemed like a good option." Dante said monotonously, giving Leonardo a firm hand shake.

"Brilliant, well then let's start the contract shall we? Toby you may leave." Leonardo spoke coolly.

"Um actually sir I need to tell you something..." Toby spoke nervously.

"Very well, what is it?" Leonardo asked, sounding uninterested standing up when Toby gestured him to go further away from the desk where Dante and I were situated.

The two men stepped to the left, closer to where I was and I listened into their whispers.

"Well, Mr Constanzo was the second offer - isn't that against the rules?" Toby questioned.

"Not in this case. Mr Constanzo is a very important customer, and we will not do anything to píss him off okay? Now go and sweet talk Mr Daniels and offer him a discount or some shít okay?" Leonardo whisper yelled sounding frustrated.

I looked over to Dante to see if he had heard, but he just seemed to be lost in his own thoughts with a stone cold expression on his face - he scared the crap out of me with just one look.

Toby began to walk out of the office, leaving Leonardo to make his way back towards Dante and I. I was glad as the silence began to get awkward and I soon felt Dante's gaze on me, making me very uncomfortable.

"Sorry about that, now where were we?" Leonardo smiled falsely

"The contract." Dante said as if he were already bored, he still had the same cold look on his face.

I was sat in the chair next to him messing with the hem of my skirt nervously, not really sure what to do.

"Ah yes, of course." Leonardo said, clumsily pulling out sheets of paper and placing them on the desk before grabbing a black pen and placing it next to the paper.

"All this contract does is confirm that Miss Aliyev here is giving her consent for us to sell her - not that she has a choice anyway -" he fake whispered directing it at Dante, but I clearly heard, with a chuckle before continuing as I tried not to roll my eyes in annoyance "and that you are sure you'd like to buy her, it also states a few other things that you can read on your own." Leonardo told him passing the paper forward and handing him the pen.

"Leila was originally going to be bought by Mr Daniels..." Toby mumbled.

"And?" Leonardo whispered rolling his eyes in boredom.

Leonardo cleared his throat, making me turn my head his way. He flattened out his suit and pulled his sleeves up a little before taking a seat on his large leather spinning chair.

Leonardo and I both watched Dante as he scanned the sheet of paper in front of him for a minute. I tried to get a glimpse of what it said, like I always did, but I never actually saw it properly.

Before I could make out the writing, Dante was already signing it and handed it back to Leonardo before pulling out a check from his blazer inside pocket and putting that in front of Leonardo instead.

Leonardo took both pieces of paper, looking over the contract first then the check. As soon as he did this his eyes looked like they nearly were going to pop out of his head in excitement - it must have been a large check.

"Excellent! Absolutely, excellent." Leonardo exclaimed clapping his hands together "Now that is sorted out, Leila your bags are already taken care of and will be given to you at the door, so you may both leave now."

I nodded courteously at Leonardo before standing up from the chair I was sat in, my legs felt like jelly from how anxious I was - and probably for the length of time I'd been sat in the chair, but mostly the nerves.

Dante soon followed my actions and stood up, but obviously looking a lot taller than me. Every time I saw him stood up, I almost had to look twice as I couldn't believe his height.

Leonardo hesitated, as he came around the desk looking nervous - I'd never seen him like this before.

"Uh, let me escort you out." he said walking quickly ahead of us to the door, opening it up.

"Pleasure doing business with you Mr Constanzo, I hope our company ways were to your satisfaction." Leonardo said, sounding so kiss áss-y it was unreal.

Dante walked through not really acknowledging Leonardo once again, apart from a brief head nod in slight appreciation.

"Mhm." Dante incoherently said sounding rude and disinterested. I know Leonardo was an áss but he was still being polite, Dante could at least acknowledge that.

Leonardo looked distraught.

Ha.

He followed quickly behind him, followed by me shortly after I closed the office door.

I watched as Dante walked with the same amount of confidence as he had previously; shoulders back, head held high and long quick strides.

On the other hand, Leonardo walked fairly clumsily and quickly trying to catch up with Dante's fast pace, which was unusual for me as he was quite a composed man normally and didn't seem the type to become so nervous around a customer. In fact he sometimes acted as if he were better than them.

This was another reason as to why I was so anxious about working for Dante, his presence was frightening even to Leonardo and that was saying something...

***

"Here are your bags Leila, now before you go I need to tell you something..." Leonardo handed me my bags whilst Dante went outside to make a phone call for his car or whatever it was we were going back in.

"Thanks. What is it?" I asked taking them off him.

"Well, Mr Constanzo is a very special customer and you must not do anything to píss him off, do you understand? If you do there will be consequences Leila." he warned.

"Consequences?" I tried not to laugh "By you?"

"No." he frowned in annoyance "By him. I'm just warning you Leila, be good. Mr Constanzo is not our average customer, like I said very important to the company - but very erm how can I say this...very alarming."

I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion "Alarming, what do you mean alar-" I began, but saw the doors open suddenly and shut up quickly when I saw Dante.

"Our car is waiting. Let's go." Dante spoke lowly, looking right at me - dismissing Leonardo completely.

I gulped, and nodded my head at him before glancing back once more at Leonardo.

At this point Leonardo didn't even try to get his attention and instead gave me a warning look before waving his hand at me to say good bye.

I gave him a tight lipped smile, and walked over towards Dante who was still looking at me. I felt my face flush, and tried to keep calm - that was until I stumbled in my heels almost falling over in the process.

My face immediately heated up even more, and I saw Dante try to hold back a small smirk that was appearing on his face.

God, that was embarrassing, I thought.

I made my way over to him, ignoring my slight trip up and looked up at him as he held open the door for me to walk out of.

I straight away headed out the door with my bag, and immediately felt the cold which caused goose bumps to appear all over my arms.

I shivered as I looked up at the night sky distracted by my surroundings. People were being hauled into cars, and men were laughing and chatting about stuff I couldn't quite understand.

"Over there." Dante spoke suddenly coming up next to me, making me jump.

I looked up at him once again and saw his line of vision was pointing towards a long black limousine. My eyes widened in astonishment, what the hell? We were going to be riding back in that? This guy must have been rich then.

"What are you waiting for then. Go on." Dante spoke bluntly, sounding annoyed - which terrified me, making me immediately walk hurriedly over to the black vehicle with Dante walking behind me.

A fairly old man, wearing a black suit was stood waiting by the boot of the limousine and held his hand out to me as if wanting to take my bag.

I handed him it and thanked him, watching carefully as he placed it in the back of the limo.

Almost immediately the man came back around towards me and opened the door for me, again I thanked him and ducked down stepping inside.

I hadn't even realized that Dante was already inside of the limo until I saw him sat in the matte black corner seat with his legs spread apart.

The interior of the limo was almost all black, apart from the outline of the matte black seats which were white - other than that it was a plain limo which surprised me as in the movies most limousines had multi colored lights flashing and mini bars in each corner.

Well, multi colored didn't really seem to be Dante's thing - neither did fun, which made sense.

"Sit here." Dante said authoritatively as soon as I stepped in and sat on the seat nearest the door, he placed his hand on the seat right next to him and I panicked.

I looked over at him and blinked a couple of times before crossing the limo and going over to the other side, sitting exactly where he'd told me.

I immediately got the scent of amazing smelling, obviously expensive cologne as well as a small hint of musky smelling shampoo that all in all made him smell like I'd imagine a God to smell.

Wow, I was creepy.

I didn't look at him once I'd sat down and quickly buckled my seatbelt, before staring into space, trying to ignore the fact that I was being bought by, most likely, a psychopath.

The limousine started up and I felt us begin drive off, I couldn't see much out of the blacked out windows especially because it was night and if there weren't small lights scattered on the floor of the limo I wouldn't have been able to see inside the limousine either.

We'd been in the limo for a good five minutes in utter silence, and I was thankful for that but when I felt Dante's head turn towards mine and the proximity between us becoming obviously more close, I felt my heart rate speed up.

"You don't talk much do you, Miss Aliyev?" Dante questioned.

Silence, I didn't reply.

"Or would you prefer I call you Leila?" he asked, sounding amused.

Again, silence.

It stayed like that for a good ten seconds, until I felt my chin being grabbed in between Dante's index finger and thumb as he turned my head towards him.

"Let's get something straight yes? When I speak to you, you look at me and answer me respectfully. I don't beg, especially people like you - so you better learn to behave or else." he growled threateningly, staring right into my eyes.

I shivered, and not because it was cold this time, but because I was absolutely terrified.

"Y-yes Dante." I squeaked, and then immediately wanted to shoot myself as he gave me a warning look as I said his name.

He opened and closed his mouth hesitantly as if he wasn't sure whether to tell me off for this slip up, but he ended up doing so anyway.

"Do not call me that. I am not your equal. It is Sir or Master to you, understood gattina?" once again, he spoke threateningly, but a small smirk appeared on his face as if he enjoyed the fear he was bringing upon me.

"Yes Sir." I said a little louder, staring into his cold eyes biting my bottom lip nervously.

"Good girl. Now, let us go through some rules shall we? We have a while, ragazza timida." he said with a somewhat malicious look on his face as he let go of my face and brought his hand back down to his thigh.

I nodded my head and stared right into his eyes, too scared to make another slip up.

This was going to be a hell of a long ride, I thought anxiously.
