Chapter 8 Amazing Driving Skill

Florrie began to wonder whether Duncan had planned this whole ordeal given their financial difference.

However, she immediately dismissed such thoughts.

It made no sense whatsoever.

After all, they were in a Maybach store.

The limited-edition Maybach 62S, which was currently in front of her, was valued at over ten million dollars.

How could it be a mere ruse? It seemed unlikely in this type of place. Moreover, it was a ten million dollar car.

Therefore, it couldn't be a scheme by Duncan.

Florrie finally gave up the fight after much reflection.

It seemed that Duncan actually paid for this car.

"The roof fully opens or closes in just 16 seconds. Closing the roof and covering it with leather is an option. The seal not only improves the cover, but also the aesthetic." Moss demonstrated all of the vehicle's features with a beaming grin on his face.

Duncan sneaked a peek at Florrie and the other two as he listened to Moss.

A rush of pleasure overwhelmed his heart when he saw the expressions of surprise on their faces.

"Florrie, don't forget to film everything for your spouse," he jokingly said.

"Duncan, you—!"

Florrie's face was flushed with rage as she screamed at him. Seeing the luxury automobile made her want to say something unpleasant, but she couldn't get the words out before they escaped her mouth.

Tanya and Elliot, on the other hand, remained silent as if they weren't there.

Moss had to spend more than 10 minutes going through all of the car's features.

"Mr. Anderson, feel free to speak with me personally if you have any questions."

"I understand." Duncan gave the boss a kind grin.

After that, he asked a few questions, to which Moss promptly and thoroughly responded.

With his uncertainties cleared, Duncan sat in the driver's seat, and he was set to drive away.

"Sir, do you require assistance from an expert to learn how to drive it? As you know this car requires some dedicated driving skills."

"Thank you, but it's not necessary. I know this kind of model. I'm confident in my ability to operate it!"

Duncan smiled as he shook his head.

He'd never driven a vehicle of this caliber before. But since the system gave him supernatural driving skills, he could now drive any vehicle around the globe!

As a result, driving a Maybach 62S was a breeze.

Duncan's familiarity with the automobile was immediately apparent as soon as he sat in the driver's seat and tapped the wheel. For some reason, it seemed like he had been driving this automobile for years. He felt very comfortable.

Afterward, Duncan started the automobile with ease. The automobile made a couple of laps around the shop.

Intricately, he swerved and reversed the vehicle with ease.

Florrie and the others were taken aback by his steady and impressive driving style. Even Moss, a seasoned professional, was shocked.

Their hearts couldn't help but sing praises to Duncan's driving prowess.

The interior systems in luxury cars like Maybach 62S were well-known to vary significantly from those found in typical sports cars. Even a seasoned driver with more than ten years of expertise behind the wheel couldn't drive the 62S as smoothly and steadily as Duncan did on the first attempt.

Only one answer could be possible given that Duncan was so knowledgeable about the Maybach 62S. Most likely this was not his first time behind the wheel of such a high-end vehicle.

Tanya, not Florrie, was the most astonished person in the room. Duncan had been her close friend for a long time.

She couldn't help but wonder whether Duncan was just pretending to be impoverished. 'Is it possible that Duncan is from a wealthy family?'

Tanya thought and immediately realized the absurdity of her statement. However, this was the only possible explanation for the existing state of affairs.

Her heart ached with remorse once she confirmed her first suspicions.

Before today, she had an excellent relationship with Duncan! Despite their closeness, they were not close enough to share all of their deepest secrets. Nonetheless, he had a special bond with her that no one else had.

Regret immediately overwhelmed her. Her involvement in this disaster would not have been necessary had she realized that Duncan was so well-off. By then Duncan had been insulted by her.

How naïve and narcissistic was she?

But Duncan had no idea what Tanya was contemplating at the time. After savoring the pleasure of driving at a superb level, he stopped the vehicle and rolled down the window, his elbows resting on the frame, to gaze at Moss. "May I drive it out of the premises?" he asked with a smirk.

"That's fine. We've finished all the paperwork. You can drive away with that vehicle. You may phone me at any moment if there is a problem with the automobile."

"I understand."

"By the way, Mr. Anderson, the car is more than six meters long. Therefore you must have an A1 driver's license to operate it," Moss reminded Duncan when he remembered it.

"No worries. I have an A1 driver's license,"

Duncan said as he realized how fortunate he was.

The A1 driving license was given to him after passing the C1 driving exam in college. He took the exam because he wanted to show off to his housemates.

He had no idea that his earlier juvenile conduct would come in handy and spare him from any difficulty today.

When Duncan spoke, Moss quickly recognized what was going on. He was a master at what he did. There was no way he could not have an A1 driver's permit. In his mind, he'd gone overboard.

"Then I'll drive out of the premises now."

He then drove the automobile to Florrie and the others.

Tanya, who was still holding a camera, caught Duncan's eye. He smiled and whistled. "Are you recording everything, Tanya?"

As Duncan stared at Tanya, she snorted and bit her lip. She remained silent and revealed a complicated expression.

Duncan scoffed and then turned his attention to Florrie, who was looking at him. "When is your wedding date, by the way? Don't forget to invite me. Since we were once classmates, I want to personally congratulate you."

With a sneering glare, Florrie moved her head away from him.

"Why are you acting so differently?" Duncan mockingly asked as he rubbed his nose.

Angry, Florrie's face reddened. She glared at him with a ferocious intensity.

"Don't be so arrogant, Duncan! Your low amount of savings isn't a big deal. It's nothing but luck."
