Chapter 5 Keep The Camera Rolling

Tanya was not only Florrie's best friend, she also had a good relationship with Duncan. Thus, she was able to keep in touch with both of them.

The reason Duncan rented the expensive attire and the luxury car was because Tanya gave him that advice. She told him that this was the only way he could get back his past relationship.

Now that Duncan knew the truth, he felt like he was such a fool to adhere to Tanya's advice.

She told him that if he dressed properly, perhaps he could get back together with Florrie.

But it turned out to be a trap.

It was just a trick to make a fool out of him.

Duncan glanced at Tanya's expressionless face while she was aiming the camera at him.

He finally understood that this was all a trap that she had set for him. He had already fallen for these people's trickeries.

Duncan sneered in silence.

He remembered the system task of the day, and according to it, he still had two chances left.

Since those assholes did this to him, if he didn't retaliate and humiliate them back, it would be unfair to him.

After pondering about it, Duncan felt so much better.

"By the way, I'm worried that you feel uncomfortable, so I'll say one more thing. Honestly, I've also recorded similar videos of several other ex-boyfriends. Does hearing that make you feel better? Well, if it does, I guess you won't mind if I continue recording this humiliating moment for you, right?" Florrie remarked, squinting at him.

"Oh, not at all. I'm perfectly okay with it. Don't you want to prove that your future husband is much better than me? Well, I'm actually about to pick up a car. Come and join me. Let's see who the better man is. And remember, keep the camera rolling!" Duncan replied, waving his hand casually.

"You're going to pick up a car? That's hilarious! Tanya, Elliot, come on! Let's tag along with this poor guy and see what kind of car he'll pick up." Florrie's interest was piqued.

"What kind of car can he even afford? I think it's just a cheap one worth several grand at most!" Elliot took a sip of his coffee, casting Duncan a disdainful glance.

"Elliot… You think too highly of him! I think he's just going to pick up a secondhand car!" remarked Florrie.

"Haha! Yeah, you're probably right. What a poor asshole!"

"Wait, wait! For him, even a secondhand one costs a lot. I don't think he can afford that. It'll probably just be a toy car worth a few dollars!" added Florrie.

Upon hearing that Duncan was going to pick up a car, Elliot and Florrie laughed, hurling ridicules at him and completely belittling him.

Their snarky remarks ignited hatred in Duncan's eyes and the smile on his lips became cold.

'Laugh all you want. We'll see later who has the last laugh, bastards!'

"Are you done laughing? I'm going to pick up my car now, and if you want to see it, then come with me."

Having said that, he stood up and went towards the door of the cafe.

"Hey, why are you leaving so soon? Do you feel flustered?" Florrie put down her coffee, stood up, and pointed at Duncan's back.

Upon hearing that, he stopped in his tracks.

"Honestly, I don't have time to waste with the likes of you. I'm very busy!"

Duncan responded as he looked back, casting her a cold glance. Afterwards, he went straight to his rented Lamborghini.

"Let's hurry up and follow him. Let's see what kind of car this poor guy can afford! Tanya, don't stop recording. I want you to record the whole thing for me!"

The mockery on Florrie's face didn't dissipate. She held Elliot's hand, hurriedly leaving the cafe to follow Duncan.

Tanya also followed behind them, still holding the camera.

After leaving the cafe, Duncan got in his car with a face distorted by anger.

He didn't expect that something this annoying would happen today. Even the joy brought by the system had been ruined because of these catty assholes.

Right after he fastened his seatbelt, he heard the horn of a car.

Duncan glanced out of the window and saw a sky blue Maserati.

Not long after, the window of the Maserati across Duncan rolled down, revealing Florrie's delicate face.

"Hurry up, Duncan! I want to see your toy car."

Duncan scoffed at her, ignoring her remark. Then, he stepped on the gas and drove away.

While he was driving, he called the general manager of the Maybach car dealership.

"Hi, I'm coming to pick up my car now. Is it convenient for you?"

he asked right after the call was connected.

"Yes, sir! Like I said before, I'm free anytime you decide to come here,"

Moss said in a very respectful tone.

With that, Duncan dropped the call, opened the navigation system and found the Maybach dealership's address.

"It'll only take me twenty minutes to get there. It's not that far."

After confirming the directions, Duncan sped the car up.

Soon, he arrived at the Maybach dealership.

At the same time, Florrie and her companions saw him pull over at the entrance of the Maybach dealership. They were all so surprised by this.

"Why did he stop here?"

Elliot asked after parking the car on the roadside.

Tanya pointed the camera at the entrance of the Maybach dealership. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. "Holy crap, it's a Maybach dealership? Is Duncan seriously here to pick up a car?"

"Oh, Tanya, my silly friend! Do you know what kind of brand a Maybach is? It's the most luxurious car brand in all of Germany. Any one of them could cost millions of dollars! How could a destitute man like Duncan afford one?"

Florrie replied, certain that she was right.

"But why would he park his car here if he's not here to pick up a car?" asked Tanya.

"Who knows what that lunatic is trying to do? Come on! Let's get out of the car and see what this loser is up to."

Having said that, Florrie got out of the car first, followed by the others.

Meanwhile, Duncan just finished parking his car and got out of the Lamborghini.

He made sure to turn a blind eye to his unsavory companions for the day as they rushed towards him.

"Welcome, sir! Are you here to buy a car? Do you have an appointment?"

As soon as Duncan reached the entry, a beautiful saleswoman in formal clothes approached him and greeted him with a smile.
