Chapter 6 CEO

Nathan exited the bedroom and ambled to his car not sparing a minute more with the annoying woman who occupied his bedroom.

"Where to, boss?" A conservative man asked, his hands on the wheels.

"Aspen Corporations." Nathan replied in monotone, from the back seat.

The driver could see from the rear-view mirror that his boss was pissed off. The employees of Aspen Corporations will not have it good today if they messed with him.

In fifteen minutes he had arrived at his destination and didn't experience any traffic throughout his journey. This made Nathan a little less angry.

A Rolls-Royce was parked in front of a high rise building, Aspen Corporation neatly carved in concrete above its sturdy gates.

He ambled in, in a linear motion having a targeted office in mind, Nathan searched round for the nearest free elevator.

The receptionist at the lobby spotted him quickly.

"Excuse me Mister. Do you have an appoint..."She halted midway her sentence, stunned by Nathan's handsome face.

She studied Nathan intently; he was a lot of inches taller than she was. His attractive face was enough to keep numerous ladies subdued with a glance.

He was the hottest person she had ever seen walk through those gates from her time serving here, even the CEO's very handsome face, lost by a vast difference when compared with the man before her.

Was he a major client of the company,a new one, perhaps?

If that was so, then she shall give him a special welcome.

"What can I do to help you with anything....and I mean anything?" She allowed the thin strap of her shirt to drop down her shoulders *accidentally* and stretched out her hands to hold him on the arm.

"The CEO is in a meeting now and wouldn't be able to see you till it's done."

All men were the same and thus one, although extremely very handsome, would definitely fall for it. Her approaches never failed.

Nathan retracted his arms before her filthy fingers could grace it, irritated by her sudden change in behavior.

Do women have no self-control?

No it wasn't about women, his beloved isn't like this.

Nathan confirmed it! It was only under that snake's jurisdiction that the company could have such undisciplined employees.

He cast a frosty glare at the ignorant receptionist trying to hit on him, "Lay as much as a finger on me and I'd have it cut off!"

"Tell your boss the CEO is here to run his company."

With that he left the visibly shaking reception, his target back on his mind.

She trembled, instinctively having a feeling that she shouldn't have messed with this guy.

Only a glare from him made her feel so inferior and insignificant.

How could someone so handsome be scary?

She shivered, watching his figure move towards an elevator.

However, she was only allowed seconds to think about this. She needed to inform her boss about the intruder coming up to him.

CEO Maxwell never liked being interrupted while he was at a meeting.

She picked up the telephone, and rang her boss quickly.

If the handsome stranger manages to get there before her call gets through. She wasn't so sure if she could still keep her status as an employee in this organisation.

She needed to act fast.

"Um boss..."

"Nichole, why did you call! I told you not to interrupt while I'm in a meeting. If anyone needs me, they should wait at the reception till I'm done." A yell came scolding her. She had to keep the phone a few inches from her ear to avoid bursting her ear drums.

She took a deep breath.

"A handso... a man came looking for you, boss. He didn't listen when I explained such and walked right to the elevator."

Maxwell was getting a bad feeling about this.

"Did he say anything peculiar to you?"

What did he call himself again? Nichole thought.

"He said the CEO's here to run his company."

Whatever that means, she thought, rolling her eyes.

"What?!" A voice thundered from the other side of the line.

The call cuts off from there.

"That's right... I forgot."

"Security!" She called out. "We have a runner."

He dares to ignore her! See how she throws him out of the premises, if he would still have so much pride remaining.
