Chapter 10 They Always Bought The Most Expensive Ones

The Panville Building in Navori was a shopping mall integrating shopping, hotel, business, and entertainment.

This place had a complete range of goods and high-end international and domestic brands.

Needless to say, it was a comprehensive, diversified, and multi-format large-scale shopping mall.

Rhett was across the road, looking at the proud Panville Building. Numerous luxury cars came and went, and many people walked in and out of the mall.

He couldn't help but sigh. The standard of living in Navori had really risen greatly.

In just a few years, Ionia attracted various luxury brands to invest in this country. And many international brands had been competing to enter Ionia's market.

Danny had given him a bank card for his living expenses, so Rhett decided to buy some clothes and other daily necessities.

Since he was a child, he only knew Hermes, LV, and several other brands. But he and his grandfather didn't pay much attention to these. Anyway, they always bought the most expensive ones.

As soon as Rhett told the taxi driver that he wanted to go shopping, the latter directly drove him to Panville Building, the largest concentration of brands in Navori.

While he was waiting idly at the crosswalk for the traffic lights to change, a Mercedes-Benz G-series off-road steadily stopped in front of him.

The upper body of a little girl was exposed through the sunroof.

Maybe she liked the wind blowing on her little face, so she kept poking her head out of the sunroof. Then a young and strong man opened the car door and got out.

"Jane, would you like to go with me?" asked the man gently, looking at the girl in a handsome suit.

"I don't want to be a third wheel. I'll just stay here," the little girl refused bluntly. She waved her hand, looking quite heroic.

"Alright. Just wait for me here then. Dad will be back soon." It turned out that the two were father and daughter. The young father smiled at his daughter.

"Oh my God! I will be fine here, okay? Just go. Mom is waiting for you." The girl frowned with a trace of impatience all over her face.

Rhett couldn't help laughing. He was so amused at the little girl who acted and spoke like an adult.

The young man was already used to the way his daughter talked. So he just smiled and turned around helplessly. When he saw Rhett in front of him, he nodded and walked across the road.

The young man's military uniform was a little faded. His crew cut made him look extremely masculine.

The Mercedes Benz SUV perfectly matched his temperament. Rhett couldn't help but glance at him with admiration.

But when Rhett was about to cross the road with the young man, he suddenly felt something strange in the air.

The man in front of him also suddenly turned around. Then both of them instantly saw something that fell from the sky at a high speed.

When the young man saw that it was an air conditioner, the resolute expression on his face was instantly replaced by fear.

He knew how heavy an air conditioner was, and it was falling toward his daughter.

Of course, he was also well aware of the consequences if his daughter got hit by it.

It was too late for him to stop what was going on. His mind went blank.

He couldn't imagine what would happen if his daughter left him this way.

But when Rhett's figure appeared in his sight, the young father's expression changed into surprise and then excitement.

Whoever saw the sudden changes in his expressions would also be surprised.

It was not easy for a person to have so many changes in expression in such a short time.

When Rhett saw the falling air conditioner, he didn't have much time to think before he acted.

He ran fast and jumped up the roof of the Mercedes. At this moment, the air conditioner was only a few centimeters away from the little girl's head.

Without any hesitation, he tightly clenched his fist and slammed it on the air conditioner.

It froze in midair for a few seconds before crashing onto the road beside the car.

A small hole was created as it landed on the asphalt road. It was too evident how fast it fell and how strong the impact was.

The young man grew up in a military compound. He had seen many excellent soldiers.

There were many capable generals, and he was one of them.

He witnessed the whole scene of how Rhett saved his daughter, especially Rhett's lightning speed and overwhelming strength.

At this moment, he suddenly understood why young women nowadays inexplicably idolized men like Rhett.

He had to admit that the way Rhett stood at the top of the SUV made him feel astonished at this moment. Rhett just looked like the god of war.

"Sir, you saved my life." The little girl looked at Rhett with her bright eyes.

"Obviously, yes." Rhett looked at the little girl and smiled. How could a girl at her age be so brave? Or was she just too young to understand the horror of death?

"You are awesome!" The little girl looked at Rhett with eyes full of admiration.

The young man strode over and said to the little girl, "Jane, say thank you to this gentleman."

"This gentleman saved my life, and I will bear the gratitude in my heart for the rest of my life. What's the point of saying thank you verbally?" The little girl looked at her father and curled her lips.

Since the little girl refused to thank Rhett, the young man looked at him and said with lingering fear, "Thank you so much. Otherwise, I really can't imagine the consequences."

"Don't mention it. It's no big deal." Rhett waved his hand.

He never considered himself a good man. But when he saw that a lively little girl was in great danger, it was impossible for him to stand aside and do nothing.

"Nonsense! How can it not be a big deal? I'm the apple of my father's eye. If I die, he and my mother will be the saddest people in this world. You don't understand it at all."

Because of what Rhett said, the little girl felt that he underestimated the value of her life. And it made her angry at once.

"Ha-ha! Jane is right." The young man reached out his hand to Rhett.

"My name is Jerry Owens. May I know your name, please? We will repay you for your kindness."

"My name is Rhett Scott. You don't have to repay me. Anyway, I have to go now. I still have to go shopping across the street."

Rhett didn't wait for the father and daughter to say something anymore. He strode across the street and headed for the Panville Building.

Jerry turned to look at Jane, who was still standing in the car. After experiencing such an accident just now, he wouldn't dare to leave her alone here.

So despite her protest, he decisively got into the car, forcefully held her out, and followed behind Rhett.

"Hello, sir. Welcome to Hermes," greeted a young and beautiful sales assistant politely when Rhett entered the shop.

Rhett looked around the shop, quickly took a few suits, and handed them to the cashier. "How much?"

The cashier stared at the suits handed over by Rhett. She was stunned for a while before she finally took them.

She had been watching Rhett since he entered the shop. She almost couldn't believe that he finished shopping within one minute and said only two words.

The cashier had been working here for so many years, but it was her first time meeting such a customer.

Of course, she met many customers who splashed out on luxuries without hesitation. But it was rare to see a customer like Rhett who paid directly without checking even the size of the clothes.

Even in buying foods, one should at least spend some time choosing. How much more in clothes? After all, if the size was wrong, it would only be a waste of money because you couldn't wear them.

However, since Rhett didn't care about his money, she didn't need to remind him.

"Rhett, I didn't expect that your destination was my shop. If I had known it, we could have walked here together."

When Rhett heard the voice, he turned around. Then he saw Jerry walking toward him with Jane in his arms.
