Chapter 9 Identity Discovery

Sara walked to her window. She was thinking of Anderson's offer. Hundred thousand dollars was a huge sum of money.

With that,she could travel back to Africa and settle down. Ever since she had gotten to the States,she had been hiding. She had no resident permit.

It was after six months that she met Madam Stellar who was also from Africa but had roots in the States.

Madam Stellar offered her protection from the agency in exchange for money she was expected to get from prostitution.

She had been doing the work with no fear of the agency.

Sometimes,Madam Stellar cheated her and even beat her. She had no one to run to.

Some nights,she would refuse to go out but after the threats and spanks of Madam Stellar,she would oblige.

It was on one of such nights she met Anderson. She had collected his digits and told him she would get back to him.

She didn't want to appear cheap.

Picking up her phone, she called him.

"I accept your offer."

Morcant bent his head as he walked. He was thinking. He recalled all that Prisma had told him.

How was he expected to do that?

He was just a teenage boy who got lost and found himself in a werewolf pack under the supervision of an authoritative lady.

As he ruminated on the whole issue,he noticed Gwen was far ahead of him.

Gwen's really quick on her feet,he thought.

"Wait up." He shouted as he ran to meet up with Gwen.

Houston Texas;

Duke groaned on his bed as he stretched his hand to put off the buzzing alarm.

I was 6:30 am.

He stood, went to his trolley that rested against the Azure coloured wall.

He took three candles and a lighter. He lit the three and with the use of wax,fixed them to the ground forming a circle.

Then he sat in the middle,his hands clasped together and his leg folded.

He was praying in the Japanese tradition.

Thirty minutes later,he was done. He looked up to his wall clock. The time read 7:02 am.

He got into the closet,brushed his teeth and had his bath. He got into a T-shirt,jean pants and a set of trainers.

He sprayed his perfume and brushed his blonde hair.

Stepping out of his house,he entered his convertible,off to work. He hadn't driven up to half a kilometer when he saw an attractive lady. He hadn't seen something like that before.

She was dressed in a tightly fitted,thigh length gown and pencil heels. She wore a pair of dark shades and her black hair rested on her shoulders.

Attracted by her luscious body,he pulled up in front of her.

"Hello beautiful." He said trying to maintain a gentleman's mode of approach. "Need a ride?"

The lady didn't answer him but opened his door and entered. His lips became dry,he had suddenly become nervous. He glanced at her and viewed her exposed cleavages as they moved in simultaneous pattern to her breathing.

"Where're you off to?" He asked.

"AMC annex."

"Okay." He said and another period of silence occured.

Fed up,he broke the silence by a question.

"My name's Duke what's yours?"

She removed her shades, put a strand of her hair behind her ear and heaved a sigh before replying.

"Sara."

The Woods;

Gwen's cabin.

"You'll be going for your mission tommorow." Gwen said as she monitored the chunk of meat she placed over the fire.

Morcant was behind her, caressing his Enchantlet.

"Okay."

Gwen left the meat on the hook and stood upright, cracking some knuckles in the process. She walked majestically to Morcant and sat beside him.

"How do you feel?"

"Bout what?

"All these."

He scratched his temple and replied. "I don't know."

"Say it,I know there's something deep down there in you,so spill it out."

He sighed.

"It sucks... Everything. I never wanted to get involved in all this shits but why? I miss my family,my friends... They'll be worried sick about me and here I am; caged up on n an unknown land."

Do you know why you are still here?"

"No."

"Cos you're my mate."

Morcant's eyebrows were raised. His heart skipped a beat.

Gwen continued,"So make a family out of here,no one's gonna harm you. Everyone knows you're the Luna's mate so no one can mess with you not even Drawx. So we are your family."

Morcant shook his head in realization.
