"Oh my! Valeria, you are here too?" Someone placed her hand over my shoulder as I turned around. "Are you really here for the mating ceremony?" My anger rose hearing those mocking words, knowing that I was wolf-less and there was no way I could find my mate. Nothing new for me but it still hurt as heck.

"Well, I doubt you would even shift now. But good luck on finding your mate." The random woman smiled and went away, when I noticed people staring at me in disgust. Abandoned by my father, the beta of the pack and disliked by my step-mother and her kids. None of that was hurtful as much as being wolf-less was.

Looking around with my helpless eyes, all I could see was men and women dressed for the party. Everyone was eager to find their mates and shift for the first time. Under the moonlight, with drinks in their hands and the loud chatter. It was the moment when I noticed my dad's affection towards his other daughter who had just turned eighteen.

"We know that you are still wolfless and are past the expiry date, miss Valeria Hayden. There is no way you will shift tonight and find a mate." I heard the seers speaking when they walked in the front garden where the ceremony was about to start. My face got creased with utter shock over their bluntness and anger on their chosen words.

"Thus, we think it would be best if you leave the area." The seer wearing white robe was making a gesture for me to follow. Clenching my fists in anger I had no other option as the chat had already snagged everyone's whispering. How could they do something like that? Looking around I was ashamed and had many complaints about the moon goddess.

A part of me wanted to keep on drinking but things weren't good for me there. Glancing at my father, the beta of the pack with his second wife, I sighed and grabbed a bottle of wine placed in the corner of the shelf. There was no point in talking to those people who were adamant on their stance. Knowing they didn't need me there, smashing the bottle on the counter I headed towards the inner hall.

Taking a bigger step towards the castle's main ingress, as soon as I pushed open the door I froze. It was the moment when something made me halt in the spot, within the empty ingress of the castle. I

felt myself being drawn, as if something started to call out to me. A voice resonated in my head with the echo of 'mate' and ecstasy filled my bones.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!" Alpha Aaron snapped and I immediately looked up at him. Meanwhile, Alice kept on glancing at me intently with an utter mock in her eyes. She knew that once again she held victory over me. First it was my toys and now my mate. Wiping off my tears I looked at the alpha while waiting for the rejection.

With a sinister look the alpha turned towards me. A malicious smirk appeared on his lips as he looked at me and inched closer.

"I, Alpha Aaron, of East pack...." He began and my eyes widened, not because of shock. But the way he immediately obliged to Alice's request stunned me. They were truly involved with each. My eyes moved swiftly and steadily as my breathing started to turn irregular.

"Hereby reject you, Valeria, of South pack." A sharp pain seared through my chest, as his voice grew even more nonchalant. I could not bear the pain and my legs gave up, slumping on the ground I placed clenched my chest. While I was aching with the excruciating pain in my body, Alice giggled and Aaron kissed her as his approval.

"You're pathetic. Once again, left with nothing." Alice cursed from above me while the alpha looked at me with a cold gaze. "A little rejection and you have yourself whining on the floor like a kid. Come on, grow up and leave the pack. We don't want you here and now your mate doesn't want you either, Valeria." Alice mocked me while the alpha stood silent.

My ears got fumed with anger from what she had just said. How dare she tell me what to do!? I found the courage to get up, despite the pain in my limbs and the pain surging through my heart. "What did you say, you bitch?" I shouted with the tears staining my face as anger welled up inside of me.

"What?" Alice smirked. There was a pleasure over her face as I reached for her hair and pulled her. The sting in my heart didn't compare to how much I loathed her at that time. "Leave me, you crazy bitch!" Alice yelled while trying to break free from my hands. We both quarrelled while the alpha leaned against the fountain boundary to watch the show.

Blinded by rage and still having no idea how to shift, I was taken over by Alice as she shifted. As the fur appeared over her arms and neck, instinctively I released her hair. "What the heck?" Alice shifted into her wolf form in front of me and growled. Bending over she pushed me, due to being at the near edge of the cliff I was thrown off.

"Bravo! That's like my Luna!" That was the last thing I heard from Alpha Aaron's mouth. I could see Alice in her wolf form, standing at the edge of the cliff as she watched me falling into the pits of

darkness. Only if I had another chance. A second chance for revenge. To forcefully take what belonged to me, to destroy what refused to come to me. One last chance, moon goddess!

"Miss, Valeria." I heard a feminine voice calling my name. Opening my eyes, I found myself sitting in front of a mirror. Where the heck was I? The last thing which flashed in my head was falling off the cliff. Glancing in the mirror I saw an unfamiliar face, unknown place and strangers around me.
