Chapter 9 Vicious Curse

"Are you making fun of me? How dare you!" Santos' expression changed all of a sudden. "Well, I can easily cross out the records, and the days during which you skipped classes will disappear without a trace. However, it can also happen otherwise."

Santos threatened Patrick. It was a trick that always worked for him. Whenever he dealt with a cowardly student, he would threaten them in the exact same way to make them give him all of their money.

"I am sick of seeing your same old tricks. You're just a loser who likes bullying others by taking advantage of your position in the student council." Patrick could not help but find Santos' threat to be ridiculous.

"It is true that I don't have any evidence against you right now, but I have people who will do anything as long as I tell them. For example, they will accuse you of fighting or molesting girls." Saying that, Santos laughed.

Upon hearing that, Patrick's expression darkened. He had only wanted Santos to step down.

Patrick realized that a guy like Santos would only bring more problems if he continued to stay in the school, and he would only end up hurting more people.

"Fools usually get destroyed because of their complacent attitude!" Clenching his fists, Patrick turned away, and walked out of there. He headed to the principal's office.

He arrived there pretty soon, knocked on the door, and opened it after getting a response from the inside.

Inside the room, Jaden, the principal, was talking to Noel, a teacher.

"Well, Patrick, you came at the right time. The principal and I were talking about you." Noel was a strict teacher, who never showed mercy on defaulters. He was lean and tall, and wore a pair of old, thick-framed glasses. "Since you skipped classes, you will not be able to apply for the scholarship anymore, so I am trying to help you think of other options."

In the past, Noel had helped Patrick a lot with his studies. In fact, there had been times when he had stayed back even after work hours to help Patrick.

"That's exactly the reason I'm here. I want to donate money to the school."

"Don't be silly! I know all about your family background and your situation..." In a rush, Noel tried to stop him.

"I don't know how much you are planning to donate to the school, but I suggest that you keep the money for your own studies. There is no need for you to worry about the school." Jaden could tell that Patrick was trying to repay the school, but he didn't think the money Patrick would donate would be too much.

"I'm willing to donate ten million dollars to the school," Patrick replied with a confident smile.

His words stunned Jaden, and Noel thought that Patrick must be out of his mind.

Although Jayden might not know about Patrick's background, Noel knew well that Patrick was a poverty-stricken student, who was only able to study because of the scholarship. It would be difficult for him to donate even a thousand dollars, let alone ten million.

Confused, Jade showed Patrick the school account, and said, "If you are really interested in donating your money to the school, then donate a hundred or two hundred dollars, and we let this subject drop. We can continue to talk about your scholarship."

Without even hesitating for a second, Patrick transferred ten million dollars into the school's bank account.

A few seconds later, Jaden received a call from the accountant.

"Ten million dollars? Are you sure that it's not just hundred dollars? What? For real?" Jaden's mind went blank as he stood up and hurry to make a pot of tea.

He even pulled a chair for Patrick, giving him a flattering smile.

"Well, I am sure you must be thirsty. Please have a cup of tea. We will talk about the details of the donation," Jaden said in a polite voice, smiling.

After all, ten million dollars was the biggest donation that the school had ever received.

Patrick sat down, took the teacup from Jaden, drank a sip, and nodded.

Noel couldn't believe his ears. He sat still, wondering if he had recognized Patrick wrongly.

"May I know your father's name? I'm terribly sorry for not recognizing you."
