Chapter 4 A Dramatic Story

"This is my first time entering a five-star hotel. I never imagine that I will become the CEO of such a luxurious hotel. In the past, I don't even dare to think about tasting the expensive lobster and steak served here. Now, I can eat those foods every day."

Excitement was apparent on Patrick's face as he relished the thought of being the owner of this five-star hotel.

He was up all night thinking about his plans for the future.

When he finally arrived at Skiyton Hotel, Patrick noticed the welcome party outside the building. It piqued his interest.

He approached the gate of the hotel and saw a large sign on the wall. The hotel was closed for the time being, according to the notice.

Patrick was completely disregarded by the rest of the crowd. They assumed he was just a bystander.

The only one that noticed him was Elissa, who was standing in front of the crowd. With a frown, she whispered to Judson, "Judson, Patrick has come back."

After turning around, Judson recognized Patrick. With a sinister expression, he scowled at him. "I told you never to bother Elissa anymore. What are you doing here?"

Because of what had transpired the day before, Patrick was enraged when he saw these two individuals. His enthusiastic mood soured terribly.

In a cold voice, Patrick replied, "What an arrogant man you are! I just hope you can still enjoy drinking wine later."

Furious, Judson approached Patrick upon hearing the latter's words.

In an angry gaze, he grabbed Patrick's collar and threatened him, "Now is a good time for you to have a clear picture of the situation. You cannot afford to offend our guest. I don't want to dispute with you now. Nonetheless, I will deal with you after this."

However, Patrick shoved Judson's hand away from him. He no longer needed to be terrified of anybody since he was the Nelson Group's heir.

"Patrick, it's time to call it quits. I know you don't want to end our relationship, but I have to tell you that I don't like you," Elissa said in an irate voice.

When Patrick heard her words, a serious expression painted his face. He raised his head and stared at Elissa.

This lady was still lovely, but in his eyes, she was a stranger now.

Patrick recognized the apparent disdain and arrogance in her eyes. A chuckle escaped his lips. "How dare you assume that I came here for you? Silly woman, you overestimate yourself."

"Patrick, what are you saying?" Elissa asked in a vexed voice as she furrowed her eyebrows.

When Patrick saw how much she had changed, he couldn't help but sigh in disappointment. Her beauty had blinded him to the truth, and he wished he hadn't succumbed to temptation.

Patrick let out a sigh and turned his back on her. He yelled to the crowd, "Tell your general manager to come out. I'm looking for him."

The folks surrounding Patrick didn't seem to care about him at all. Instead, they dismissed him as a delusional idiot.

Judson burst into laughter. "How dare you ask for the general manager? Do you think he will waste time on someone like you? Are you going to leave this place by yourself, or should I ask the guards to beat you up and throw you in the garbage bin?"

However, Patrick remained unfazed. With a dignified pose, he made a giant stride forward. It forced Judson to take a step back.

"You're the vice general manager, right? Where do you get the audacity to treat the new chairman like this?" Despite his calm voice, Patrick radiated an air of silent authority. His eyes reflected a cool radiant light.

"How dare you pretend to be our new chairman? There will be a new chairman for this place, and he will be arriving shortly. If it weren't for this, I wouldn't be here trying to convince you to go away. Leave this place now," Judson told Patrick with derision.

With a grin, Elissa hid her face with her hand. Since she was familiar with Patrick's family, she assumed that she would know if he was the new chairman.

"Actually, I am the new chairman. The one who should go away is not me but you," Patrick said in a proud voice as he pointed at Judson's nose.

"You're a lunatic. Guards, take this man away from here. Put him in the garbage bin! It's the only thing that will make him stop being delusional," Judson shouted impatiently.

Soon enough, a large group of imposing security personnel quickly encircled Patrick.

Suddenly, a car horn echoed from nearby. The crowd turned their heads.

Everyone's eyes fixated on the vehicle since it was very familiar to them.

"That's Mathew's car. He's back after picking up the new chairman himself."

"You lying idiot. The real chairman has just arrived. Leave now!" A chuckle escaped Judson's breath. "Everyone, look presentable. Smile as we welcome our new chairman."

Meanwhile, Mathew was driving so fast that he almost hit the security guards, who were terrified of getting hit.

In a flash, the vehicle parked right in front of Patrick. Without hesitation, Mathew pushed open the car door.

Mathew hurriedly exited the vehicle. His tie was unkempt, and he didn't even bother to clean up his outfit. He was clearly in a rush to get out of the car.

He slammed the door shut. It surprised everyone since he was very careful about his car. It was the first time that he treated it so roughly.

The other employees expected Mathew to throw Patrick to the road for causing a disturbance at their welcome party.

To everyone's surprise, Mathew suddenly took the wine and the glass Judson was holding.

With trembling hands, he poured a glass of red wine and gave it to Patrick.

However, Patrick ignored the glass and instead gave Mathew a cold stare.

Despite his large figure, Mathew gave Patrick a deep bow. There was a smile on his lips and sweat dripped down his face. In a sincere voice, he said, "Pleasure to meet you, Mr. Nelson. Allow me to propose a toast to you. Please forgive me for making you wait for so long."

Immediately, everyone outside the hotel was taken aback by what they had witnessed.

They wanted to say something but they were too surprised that their words failed to escape their gaping mouths.
