Chapter 6 Get Fired

"I hate repeating my orders," said Patrick.

The security guards clenched their jaws in frustration. They didn't need to be terrified of Judson since they had Walter's son on their side.

Patrick merely told them to hold down Judson. Even if Patrick's order was to beat up Judson, the guards would still willingly do it. After all, Judson was nothing compared to Walter.

Immediately, two security guards stepped forward and grabbed Judson. With each of them holding one of Judson's arms, they pulled him back.

In frustration, Judson yelled, "Unhand me, you bastards. I will make you pay for touching me." Judson was afraid to upset Patrick, so he didn't say anything to him. However, it didn't mean that the guards could be rude toward him.

"How dare you continue to act so haughty even though you've been fired?" Furious, a muscular security guard delivered a strong punch toward Judson's gut.

"Ahhh!" Judson screamed in agony, his lips gaping open in protest. He turned his head to see who had struck him. However, Patrick suddenly snatched his hair and shoved the wine glass into his mouth.

Soon enough, his dirty mouth could no longer speak nonsense.

Patrick gave the guard a look of admiration. Then, he turned to Mathew and grabbed the bottle of Lafite from his grasp.

"Do you know what it is about Lafite that so many people enjoy?" Patrick mockingly asked while he was touching the bottle.

With his mouth gagged by the wine glass, Judson struggled. Unfortunately, he couldn't break free from the hold of the muscular guards.

His anxiety got the better of him, and he was having trouble breathing. Tears started to fall from the corners of his eyes. He was really terrified!

"That's because Lafite has great quality."

Suddenly, Patrick smashed the bottle he was holding against Judson's knees.

A loud band echoed. At that moment, Judson's knee cap broke.

On the other hand, the wine bottle was completely unbroken. It was proof that the bottle was of good quality.

Judson was experiencing so much agony. Cold sweat trickled down his face and spine. Pain and bitterness were the only things in his mind.

Because of the wine glass in his mouth, he couldn't yell nor could he breathe smoothly.

Soon enough, his eyes rolled as he lost consciousness.

"Throw him away. We don't need trash like him here."

"Right away, sir!" For a long period, Judson had harassed and threatened the two security guards. As such, in spite of his heinous methods, they were enthralled with Patrick.

Several of the employees lifted their heads when they saw the grimace on Judson's face. They believed that what was happening to him was karma. He had been making life tough for them on a daily basis, and now he had insulted a powerful man.

"Patrick, spare me, please. I'm only following Judson's orders because he threatened me." Elissa pretended to be pitiful. "Why don't we start from scratch? Since we started dating three years ago, I've been at your side constantly. You're always in a special place in my heart."

Her charming remarks failed to sway Patrick, though. Actually, he was appalled to see her pretend to be the victim.

"You had the chance to be the wife of Nelson Group's future leader."

Elissa drew closer to Patrick after realizing that there was yet a ray of hope. In fact, she was itching to give herself up to Patrick.

However, security came out to halt Elissa as Patrick took a step back.

"Unfortunately, you cheated on me. And now, you have lost everything." Patrick burst into laughter. He felt it was only fair to punish Elissa for betraying him.

Because of his words, Elissa's heart ached tremendously. Money had blinded her so much that she squandered her bright future. At that moment, she blamed herself for being impatient.

She was having difficulty breathing, and her breath became short gasps. At that moment, she was so dispirited that she became dizzy and collapsed on the ground.

Patrick used to adore her with all of his heart and soul. However, she was nothing to him right now.

After the little incident was resolved, it was time to make some long-term preparations for the hotel's future.

Patrick took a few steps forward and approached a slender guy. The man was a lobby manager of the hotel.

"Mr. Nelson, hello," the man greeted in a low voice. Based on the bruises on his neck, it was clear that he was being bullied on a regular basis.

Patrick furrowed his eyebrows. Elvin had taught him a lot so that the hotel would prosper.

The man in front of him was Beckett Tran, an excellent employee. Unfortunately, Judson had him do things he didn't want to do. As a lobby manager, he only received a little salary, but he was truly in charge of inventory, acquisition, and other duties.

He was compelled to perform several unlawful activities for Judson during this time period. Patrick believed he might benefit from Beckett's abilities.

"Do you have an inventory of the hotel supplies?"

"Yes, sir." Beckett removed the cap off the pen he had in his pocket and pulled out a little flash drive. "I'm sorry for all I've done. Please forgive me. I'm willing to leave..."

However, before Becket finished what he was about to say, Patrick interjected with a smile, "That's great to hear. Since the position of vice manager is vacant, you are now promoted."

Because they had all been through so much, Patrick felt empathy for Beckett. Additionally, Beckett was shy yet kind to others. As a man of justice, he would not bully those who were weak.

"Mr. Nelson, I am responsible for so many illegal things related to the hotel. I'm fortunate not to have been laid off. However, a promotion is a bit much. There's no way I can accept it." In disbelief, Beckett's mouth was wide open. For a moment, he even thought it was merely a dream.

"If you make a mistake, you must be held accountable. However, this flash drive is very vital and may make up for any faults you may have made. As vice general manager, you must put out your best effort. Allow me to evaluate your abilities."

Beckett's cheeks flushed with enthusiasm after he heard Patrick's remarks. He had intended to quit, but he was given the unexpected opportunity to become vice general manager. At that moment, he felt very fortunate.

"Well, there will be more reward if you do a good job. Patrick's eyes shifted to Mathew, the general manager. Then, he added, "Maybe you'll replace him in the future."

Mathew rubbed his hands together and gave an uneasy grin, not daring to respond. There was nothing he could do. After all, he wasn't Walter's son.

"I understand, Mr. Nelson. Thank you so much for this opportunity." Out of excitement, tears of joy were forming at the corners of Beckett's eyes. "I won't let you down."

After all the hardship he experienced, he never expected that the new chairman of the hotel would be so smart and influential.

Beckett was thrilled to get the chance. It was an opportunity for him to begin a new life. On that day, he vowed to dedicate the rest of his life to serving Nelson Group and Patrick.
