Chapter 7 Taking Having a Baby into Account

Lola distributed the gifts that she had bought one by one, even the servants all had a share. Everyone was so happy that they couldn't stop praising her for her understanding.

After distributing the gifts, she handed the handmade chicken sandwiches to Old Master Murphy, "Grandpa, this is your favorite Handmade Chicken Sandwich."

Old Master Murphy was so happy that he pulled her hands and asked her a lot of things, which was all about Emma, Lola's grandmother.

Lola's grandmother, Emma, was an internationally acknowledged master of Western painting, who was teaching Western Painting at Paris College of Art. Old Master Murphy had been given a few of her paintings as gifts, which he valued the most.

Lola looked through the photos in her cell phone and showed them to Old Master Murphy.

Sophie, who had been standing at the entrance and looking around for a long time, didn't see Colin come in. She asked, "Where's Colin?"

Lola, who didn't know how to answer, had to say, "... I didn't come with him."

Sophie muttered something, which Lola couldn't hear clearly.

It wasn't until seven o'clock that the sound of a car came from the courtyard. Sophie went out to greet Colin in a hurry. She hadn't seen her beloved son for quite a few days.

A few minutes later, Colin and Tami walked in together.

The man looked well-composed, upright, and handsome. And the woman looked slender, whose makeup was exquisite. As they stood together, they looked like...

Well, a beautiful and perfectly-matched couple.

Noticing Colin coming back home, Sophie went into the kitchen to order someone to start preparing dinner.

Tami came over and greeted Lola. As they were exchanging pleasantries with each other, Tami didn't look embarrassed at all.

Upon recollecting how Tami had been panicked that afternoon, Lola wanted to laugh all of a sudden. It was clear that she was the redundant one. How come Tami had been in a panic?

After the food was set, they went to the dining room.

It was clear that Old Master Murphy was in a good mood. He, who emphasized "No Talking Over the Meal" on usual days, couldn't help but talk a lot over the dinner.

Lola hadn't come back to the Murphy Family house for a long time. Naturally, the conversation was all about her. She pinched the chopsticks and responded nicely with a shallow and decent smile on her face.

Old Master Murphy asked, "You graduated this year, didn't you?"

"Yes. I just graduated this June."

"Do you plan to go back to France?"

"No."

"That's great!" Sophie's eyes lit up with joy, "Since you've graduated, shouldn't you take having a baby into account?"

Cough, cough!

A mouthful of hot soup clogged in Lola's throat and she couldn't help but cough.

It wasn't until she finished coughing that she raised her eyes and looked at Colin, whose gaze was dark and ambiguous.

Lola could not help herself and wanted to laugh. Well, she wondered what the members of Murphy Family would react if they knew Rachel was pregnant?

Well, they should be quite pleased, Lola guessed.

But that was Colin's personal business, which had nothing to do with her. Of course, she wouldn't bring it up. Anyway, she and Colin would get divorced soon!

"You've been married for two years. It's time that you should take having a baby into account. Besides, Colin would turn thirty after New Year. You can't delay any longer. The second boy of the Lee Family is at the same age as Colin, whose kids are already in kindergarten... "

As Sophie sat there nagging, Colin saw the uncomfortable look on Lola's face and diverted the topic away, making Lola feel relieved in secret.

They went to the living room to enjoy fruits after dinner.

Tami leaned on the sofa, pressed the remote control at ease, and tuned into the entertainment channel, which happened to be airing a piece of entertainment news related to Rachel.

It turned out a reporter had photographed Rachel visiting the Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital frequently a few days ago. So there were rumors saying that Rachel had gotten pregnant. As for who the baby's father was, it was quite self-evident.
