Chapter 6 Lola Was Invited to Visit the Murphy Family House

After Colin helped Lola treat her wound, he looked up and saw that she was staring at him somewhat dazedly. Her cheek was flushed.

"What's wrong? Does it still hurt?"

Lola came back to her senses suddenly and diverted her face, "It doesn't hurt. I feel much better."

Colin got up to tidy up the medicine spread on the sofa and reminded her that she should make sure the water wouldn't run into her wound, "If the wound is not healed yet till tomorrow, it is better for you to go to the hospital."

Lola sat there and listened to him quietly, feeling somehow annoyed.

Lola thought that he would leave after his rambling. It didn't occur to her that he would pull out a box of ginger tea from the plastic bag, go over to the water dispenser, and make a cup of ginger tea with boiled water. After that, he handed it over to her.

Lola didn't take it over. Instead, she looked at him quietly for a moment and laughed in a low voice suddenly.

"Actually, you don't have to do this. Miss Sharp didn't do it to me on purpose. I won't blame her."

Colin didn't say anything and put the cup in front of her somewhat forcibly

Noticing that he was a bit impatient, Lola picked up the cup in the end. Although she hadn't liked ginger since she was a child, she still drank it up in one gulp.

He wouldn't leave until he saw her drinking the ginger tea up as early as possible.

Noticing her drinking up the ginger tea, Colin got up and left. While Lola leaned on the sofa and squeezed the empty cup, feeling dazed. It wasn't until the doorbell rang again that she regained her consciousness.

The wine she had just ordered was brought up. Upon second thought, she left it on the counter and didn't open it. After that, she went to her room, got changed with her pajamas, and fell back to sleep.

The next morning when she woke up, she had a headache, a sore throat, and a stuffy nose. It seemed that she did have caught a cold.

After eating breakfast, she felt more dazzled in her head. Even after lying on the sofa for a while, she did not feel better at all. It happened that she saw the plastic bag on the table, which was imprinted with a logo of a specific pharmacy.

After checking the address, she found out the pharmacy was near the hotel. She struggled to get up, found the pharmacy, and bought some medicine for coldness treatment. After taking the medicine, she fell back to sleep.

It might be because of the fact that the medicine she had taken was taking effect that she slept soundly this time. It wasn't until at dusk that she was woken up by a burst of ringtones.

It was Old Master Murphy, James Murphy, who was calling her.

She didn't tell anyone about her return yet, including her family members, let alone the ones on Murphy Family's side.

Noticing the call was from Old Master Murphy, Lola wasn't surprised at all. Since Tami had known about her return, people on the Murphy Family's side would also be informed sooner or later.

Lola braced herself to get up, cleared her throat, and called out, "Grandpa."

Old Master Murphy's voice was mixed with excitement, "My dear Lola, I heard that you've returned?"

"I'm sorry, Grandpa. I've been recovering from the jet-lag at the hotel for the past few days, and I don't have time to visit you and say hello."

"It's okay, it's okay. I didn't call you to talk about this. I'm glad that you're back. It's been a long time since I saw you last time... "

It was clear that Old Master Murphy was so happy that he said a lot of things before he spoke in the end, "How about you and Colin go home for dinner tonight? I'll ask Abby to cook your favorite dish, Beef Steak with Black Pepper Sauce!"

Lola sighed in secret and had to accept his invitation.

After all, Old Master Murphy already knew she was back. It would be rude for her to not go over and say hello to him.

Her head still hurt a little. But she felt much better than what she had been this morning. So she braced herself to get up.

Before going to the Murphy Family house, she went to the shopping mall to buy some gifts. On the way, she asked the driver to go to the Western Supermarket, where she had been queuing for almost half an hour before she bought some Handmade Chicken Sandwiches.

It was already past seven o'clock in the evening when she arrived at the Murphy Family's villa, which was brightly lit. Upon noticing her return, Old Master Murphy was quite happy.
