Chapter 5 It Hurts. Please be Gentler

Colin probably was somewhat concerned about Lola since no one had opened the door for him after he had been pressing the doorbell for a long time. It wasn't until he saw Lola that he was relieved in secret.

"Are you okay?"

Lola was surprised, "What are you doing here?"

Colin waved the plastic bag at his hand and looked at her ankle, "I bought some medicine and I will help you clean the wound."

Lola only wrapped a bathrobe around her, which was long enough to reach her knees. The wound on her calf could be clearly seen, which was no longer bleeding. However, since she had been soaking in the bathtub for a long time, the wound looked somewhat white and there was a small opening on it.

Before Lola came to her senses, Colin walked into the room while holding the bag. As he passed by Lola, a faint smell of tobacco wafted past Lola's nose.

Lola was somewhat panicked, "Hey, you... "

Colin went to sit down on the couch, "Come here."

"What?"

He took out the stuff in the bag one by one, "What? Can't walk? Want me to come over and hold you in my arms?"

Lola instinctively refused, "No!"

Colin hooked his lips slightly, "Don't worry. I'll leave after helping you with the medicine. I won't disturb you for a long time."

Lola felt that this man was so annoying suddenly. How could he have just entered her room like this without asking for her consent?

But his kindness was quite touching, whether he did it out of concern or guilt.

Letting out a sigh of relief, Lola walked over and sat down.

Colin patted the sofa beside him, "Move closer!"

Lola moved her hip. As soon as she sat a little closer, Colin bent down and lifted her legs up.

Lola panicked, "Hey, what are you doing?!"

There was nothing inside her bathrobe. As soon as her legs were lifted, the bathrobe spread out to the sides, revealing a large section of fair legs up to the base of the thigh.

Colin felt as if he had seen something, that was, a faint circle of shadow. As he, who was caught off guard, saw this scene, he was also startled.

Lola reached out and pressed down her bathrobe, drawing her feet back. Her tender face was blushing with shame.

"Never mind. I'll do it by myself!"

However, she simply knew nothing about cleaning wounds.

She had been enjoying a sumptuous and wealthy life since her childhood, who would even call her family doctor to take care of her even if only the skin on her fingertips was worn. No way that she would know how to take care of the wounds.

Moreover, with the panic in her mind, she couldn't even tear off a band-aid after tossing it around for half a day.

Colin, who came to his senses, took out the alcohol and poured it on a small ball of medical cotton as he held her ankle.

"You gotta disinfect it first."

Lola intended to struggle as Colin pressed the cotton on her wound. As the alcohol stimulated the wound, Lola screamed in pain.

"Ah! It hurts - hurts! Be gentler!"

She was so painful that the look on her small face went pale. She wrinkled her eyebrows as she hissed and drew cool air back. Tears filled her eyes.

Colin somewhat wanted to laugh unkindly, "Does it hurt that much?"

Lola's family members all knew that Lola was afraid of pain since her childhood, who would even cry for half a day after having an injection. Her grandpa, who couldn't stand her crying, would coax her every time.

But this man... was laughing at her!

Well, didn't he know who had made her suffer like this?

On the way back from the restaurant, Lola had been gloomy in secret. After she took a shower, she felt somewhat better. Upon hearing Colin's mocking tone now, Lola, who was somewhat angry again, hugged her knees and didn't want to pay attention to him.

They didn't speak. Colin helped her take care of her wound quietly.

After the disinfection, Colin took a tube of ointment out. He took a cotton swab, dipped it in the ointment, and pressed it on the wound gently. His action was much gentler.

Looking at his attentive look, Lola became a little distracted gradually.

After getting married for two years, it was the first time she looked at him so closely.

To be honest, this man was quite good-looking, who got long eyelashes and a tall nose. Because of his concentration, he pursed his lips slightly, looking somewhat solemn.

They were so close that she could even hear his gentle breathing as the warm breathing coming out of his nose came at her face.
