Promise POV.
(She yawns). Uncle Potiphar, are we not home yet?
Potiphar's POV...
Very soon dear, I can see you are hungry and tired. In the next twenty minutes, we will be there. ''Pamela, Pamela, Pamela''. ( He turns his face to the back and realized that she was asleep). Wow,so she is asleep. Thank Goodness, I would not have to talk again, until we get home..
I heard him (Potiphar) but I didn't reply him. I was asleep but not fast asleep. I yawned and yawned until Potiphar said ''We are home''. Promise opened her eyes and yawned. I could see that she was tired. I opened my eyes and saw that it was my house.
Pamela's POV..
Potiphar, this is where I lived before.... This was the house they built here after demolishing my house.
Potiphar only smiled at me and said; ''Yes, that's our house''. Father is in. I shivered and was reluctant to go inside the house. The gateman had opened the gate and so we entered into the house. The house was beautiful with colourful wallpapers, sliding windows, strong and designated cushions and curtains, well arranged dinning rooms with dishes newly prepared as if there was a night party.
I looked around the house and my eyes caught something.there were different maidens in the house with the same uniforms.
Potiphar had asked me to go and sleep but I insisted on seeing my father.
Pamela's POV...
I am not going to sleep until I set my eyes on my father. I could see in Potiphar'sPotiphar's eyes that something wrong would happen. Potiphar made up his mind, and with Promise in his hands, he took me to Father's room. The room was much more prettier than the sitting room and the dining room. I didn't admire the room because all I wanted to see was Father. Father sat on a wheel chair. He had grown much grey hair which on a norms is called Wisdom hair by some Nigerians in my area. His face were still smooth but I wondered what happened to his legs. I ran towards him and hugged him with tears rolling down my cheeks. Father also cried. I guessed we were both shedding tears of Joy. Potiphar was smiling. Promise was already fast asleep. Father's eye glass was already wet. He removed it. It was late now so I left Dad to sleep.
When I came out of the room, three maidens plugged their heads together and were discussing. I could overhear them. If not all at least, I heard little. One of them with a blonde hair said ''Who is that Lady?''. Another maid replied, ''So you mean, you don't know her?''. Legends say she killed her mother and sent her step mum away. I couldn't withstand hearing this but thank Goodness for the other maiden who said ''Hmmn, who told you?''. No one answered. I only heard that her mum had a brain tumour and breast cancer and so she passed away because she never told anyone about the disease which later had great effect on her...
Mrs Rose was Pamela's mum's best friend, she seduced Pamela's Dad and hypnotised him. It took long before Pamela's Dad gave in to her. Mrs Rose left her husband, Mr Roosevelt because he cheated on her. So you guys, should stop saying what you don't know.
I smiled and went towards the maids, and they were all shocked. The maid who supported me was the only one who smiled back at me...
