Chapter 4 A Disastrous meeting

First day of exploration.

When the yellow taxi I took with my best friend stopped at the front gate of Demini high school, I had to close my friend's mouth and snap her back to reality. The building in front of us was massive and beautiful.

"Wow," Vanessa commented.

I have never seen Demini high school in real life before, I only see them on TVs and newspapers but today I'm finally seeing this school. "Oh my God, this school is amazing."Vanessa pulled my clothes as she squealed.

"Typical Vanessa"

As the gate opened for us to enter, I remembered Ariana grande song 7rings and now I understand what she meant by this line. "Whoever said money can't solve your problems

Must not have had enough money to solve 'em. "

"Oh my God, this school is beautiful."Vanessa giggled beside me.

There was a long pathway that leads to a two-storey glass building. On our left side were beautiful trees and a beautiful fountain that's stood in the middle of the trees. And on our right side was their car garage I presume to judge by the cars parked there. "This place is amazing" Vanessa commented.

"You can say that again, "I replied smiling brightly.

Vanessa and I walked into the two-storey glass building and were welcomed by a guide who must have been informed of our arrival. We were both lead to a hall where some students were already seated and waiting. I could see some of the students from plan sitting distance away from Demini students.

"This is worst than I thought."

Vanessa and I took a seat beside Daniel who looks uninterested in the whole exploration thing.

"Hey Daniel, "I greeted.

"Hey tiara, "he replied

"Are you enjoying....," I didn't get to finish my sentence as someone spoke through a microphone.

" I welcome everyone to this gathering. I'm principal captain, the principal of Demini high school and I welcome everyone from plan highschool. Thank you for coming to our school, "she said.

"Why are you thanking them? It is not as if we can go to their school." someone from Demini high school student mocked.

"Well it's not like we wanted to pair with a school as snobbish as yours" Daniel replied and it turned into an argument between the two schools.

"Oh mehn, this exploration is going to be a tough one"

"Silence!!! "The principal shouted and the hall went silent.

"Thank you, principal captain."

"That's is enough guys. Is this how you are all going to behave when you are together?" the principal questioned.

"We can never be together miss captain. We are worlds apart, "A girl with long curly black hair replied to the principal question.

"That's is so rude"

"Principal captain, I'll like it if you could let us all go because it getting late, "A teacher from Demini high school said.

"Very well miss Diana, I wish you all a good exploration."The principal said and we all clap. Everyone stood up and exit the hall and then head towards the car park where a yellow 48 passenger bus was parked. The Demini student stood out from us. Their school uniforms look beautiful and nice, unlike our uniforms.

"Well, I guess the curly-haired girl was right when she said we were world apart."

"so students, this is where we'll depart. I wish you all a good exploration." the principal told us.

"Miss captain, we've heard that a thousand times today. Can we please just go" the curly-haired girl interrupted? "Again"

The principal eyed her and then proceed to speak with the teachers that were accompanying us. When she was done speaking with the teachers, We all entered the bus with our suitcases and settled down on the seats on the bus. The Demini student sat on the left side and we sat at the right.

"Awkward "

The driver started the car and drove out of the beautiful high school.

"Bye demini high school "

"I hope this boring exploration is worth it"one of the students of Demini high school commented.

"Why are you even complaining about the exploration when no one wants to be here."Daniel retorted.

"Daniel has a bad temper"

"The fight is about to start people. Demini versus plan high school."A guy from Demini announced and clap his hands.

"Gary, you are making this worst."

"It's fun sola. I wasn't even talking to you. Why don't you face your girlfriend?"The guy called Gary replied the dreadlocks guy.

"Guess this is going to be one hell of an exploration"olumide commented and laugh out loud.

"Is something funny?"Gary asked and walked to where olumide was seating.

"If it's funny? Are you going to do something about it?"olumide stood up from his seat and faced him.

"Oh God, everyone on the bus is pretending as if they are unaware of the fight going on in the bus"

The teachers walked to them and separated them from fighting.

"That's enough guys. Anyone who fights again would face punishment. Can you all just pretend you ain't together on this bus?" miss Linda begged and Gary retreated to his seat while olumide sat back on his seat.

Vanessa giggled beside me, I guess she wasn't unaffected by the fights and everything that had been going on on the bus. I wonder why she was so happy.

"What going on Vanessa?"I asked her as she kept staring at someone. I trace her stare and found her staring at a golden-haired boy who was seating together with two other boys from Demini high school that I failed to notice in the hall.

"Vanessa!"I shouted her name and everyone turned their attention to us.

"Why did you scream my name like that?" she asked.

"Cause you we're staring at... "I pointed at the golden-haired guy who was conversing with his other friends that were on a low-cut hairstyle.

" Hush" she shushed me and whispered in my ears. "Those are the triple three and I have a crush on that guy, "she pointed at the golden-haired guy.

"How can you have a crush on someone you just met?"I asked cause I was confused.

"Sounds cliche to me"

Vanessa slapped my head and bought out her phone. She scrolls through her Instagram page and showed me some guys that look like the guys on the bus.

"Have you been living under a rock? Those three guys are the triple three, "she muttered. "The middle guy is Tristan and I have had a crush on him since 7th grade," she confessed.

"Oh My God Vanessa. That's is amazing, "I replied to her and she smiled.

"Well, I only met him once and that was when I was in seventh grade and he hasn't noticed me ever since then, "she said sadly and bow her head. I comforted her and began singing.

As I started singing, the student On the bus all turned their attention to us. I didn't care as I continued to sing.

"Who bought a dog to this bus?" the black curly-haired girl commented.

"Alexa, that is a rude word to say to others. "one of their teachers corrected.

"Well no one gives a damn, "she replied and plug in her earphones.

"Guess, both of us are going to have a problem."

I ignored her and continued the song I was singing and Vanessa joined in the song and we both sang the exploration song.

"Guess this exploration wasn't going to be boring as I thought"
